    "Hier wil je je ogen echt niet dicht doen. Muf, benauwd. Allen de ontbijtzaal zag er redelijk uit. We hebben 1 nacht boete betaald (GBP 75) en zijn meteen geswitched naar Kensington rooms even verderop. Nauwelijks duurder maar super." (107664542)

    There were no good points. Poor is too inadequate a word to describe this flea pit.

    This was the grottiest, filthest hotel we have ever stayed in. We didn,t wait for breakfast for fear of the food poisoning we might catch. I can safely say this is the worst hotel we have ever stayed in in all our years of travelling.

    "not worth the money we paid for it." (108212568)

    the toilet leaked all over the bathroom floor. The beds were uncomfortable as the springs were sticking out. One of the towels was dirty with a rather unpleasant mark! The hotel staff gave the key to us without asking for ID or anything. One of my colleagues arrived after we checked in so had never met the staff and they gave her the key with no questions asked! Slightly worrying as we had computers etc in our room!

    Close to city centre, tubes and easy access.

    Very tired hotel, poor facilities, need investment badly. No ensuite rooms available.

    toilet is being flooded out from the shower, all bed are single it means if four people (couple and children) they have to separate, room is so unwelcoming you might get scared when you come in (basement), i saw a broken tv set besides my bed, breakfast are the same everyday (toast and cereal).

    Good location especially if you use the buses into central london. helpful staff, good buffet breakfast.

    Breakfast room could be a bit crowded at times.

    All of it! Outside is tacky, inside is tacky, walls need cleaning, carpet needs doing, rats need catching, showers need fixing, the smell needs to go, beds need changing, Peaple need more than 1 pillow!!!! Staff didn't have a clue, i can't see how they can work in such a dive - i would prefer the steps outside than a room in that hotel again.

    Internet access and confirmation was easy

    More adequate if described as 'Hostel'instead of Hotel. The 2 stars ** given must relate to some-ones imagination. No lift to floor - major issue with luggage. Room cramped and pokey. Better to pay more

    Price was fair for the location. The closeness to the underground and local food spots was nice.

    Rugs were old and clearly damped from continued wetness probably from guest who walk in from the bathroom. I simple foot mat at the room entrance could have prevented this. Furniture wre all completely old and needs changing. Bathroom was clean but needs checking to remove tissues left on foor. Not even a pressing iron to straighten a shirt.

    Fairly cheap in an excellent location!

    The staff was hostile, when I arrived they couldnt find my reservation and made me wait while they were speaking another language, which made me feel unconfortable. I asked for a wake up call for next day, which I never got. The t.v. was not working and the luggage storage is not very safe.

    "If you only had a small bag and needed a place to stay for a night or two, this hotel would be just fine." (107532416)

    Staff was very nice. Location was very central and only about a 5-7 min walk from the nearest tube.

    STAIRS!!!!! The hotel had a little lift, but there were SOOOO many levels to each floor, it was weird. We had to walk up staircases, then down staircases, then through many doors (that don't stay open), and that was after we got off of the lift. We had 4 adults, each had a large, heavy suitcase, a carry on, and a purse/laptop bag, and I had my baby and her stroller. It was frustrating.

    Great that they have family rooms with 5 beds! Nice staff, easy to get there, close to a tubestation, breakfast included - you get more toast if you like.

    Fitted mouldy carpet, bad smell, but clean.

    "Although the whole place was quite old fashioned and in desperate need of doing up, It was a pleasant stay. the staff were friendly and the room was comfortable. For the amount of money that we spent, we expected a lot less and what we got was great. Its in a fantastic location and very close to everything. My only criticism is the reception area that needs redecorating. It is old fashioned and the wall paper is peeling off. If they redecorated this it would be a fantastic hotel. " (107740202)

    Good value for money, Within walking distance of the Natural History Museum and Harrods, Not far away from the underground station, Shower and bathroom facility was good, comfortable bed, good sized room!

    New sign needed on front of hotel as it is old fashioned and was quite hard to spot, Outside needs painting. Reception needs updating, wall paper was peeling off the walls, needs to be modernized! The room needed a coat of paint as there were scuff marks all over them. The water from the bath leaked next to the toilet.

    "It was a place to sleep close to transportation and it served it's purpose." (107893761)

    The bed linens were clean and so was the en suite bath. The staff was helpful.

    the beds were old and uncomfortable and the luggage was kept in an unsecured area while after we checked out and before we returned to pick up the luggage. The rooms were hard to find as there are so many different levels to each floor. Even with the elevator there were still too many stairs to drag luggage up and down. This made it very difficult as we were traveling with an infant.

    You get an adequate place to be for small money that's the fact and when you see, how friendly and busy the stuff - simple are making their job in this "rotten castle" - great!

    in the first night (on a saturday/sunday night where you can't find a skillful hand for this problem) the fire-alarm was ringing nearly 10 times from midnight to morning and a poor student at the desk couldn't handle it. Poor!

    Cheap

    The room and en-suite facilities were dirty. Even one of the beds had dusty bed linnen. On the last day, the chamber maid even took or through away a bottle of shampoo we had brought.

    The room was just what I needed. It was warm, clean and quiet.

    My only critisism was that I only had one pillow - and normally I need 2/3 - so my nights sleep was constantly interupted by me waking up.

    Excellent staff, very friendly and efficient. Very easy to find and in a gret area, very close to travel links, and shops.

    Heater in room had no control and was on high overnight which was uncomfortable. The walls seemed paper thin and floors creaked so could hear everything from all surrounding rooms.

    "This is a buget type hotel and is kept generally very clean and tidy inside, the interior and decor are however aged and would benefit from some refurbishment. As a short stop over in the centre of London it would probably be acceptable to most buget travellers. overall my stay at this hotel was adequate for a two day stay, I would however perhaps not have stayed if I had viewed the rooms and facillities personally prior to booking."     reception manned 24 hours

    lack of hot and cold running water in top ensuite rooms at times of high demand for example 08.00 in the morning, lack of repair to warn and or broken items in room. Lack of double glazing, noise from other guests and traffic outside.

    luggage had to be left in dining room ,our room when we got the key ay 1pm hadnt been cleaned ,the curtains were hanging off the rail .we only had 1 pillow each ,to have a shower you had to hold the hose as no wall hook .

    The shower room had inadequate drainage from the shower tray and as a result the room floor was always wet,in addition at the end of the visit there was water leaking from the floor above via the light fitting causing a potential safety hazard.This was reported to reception and when I left a little later the room was still open.

    "The hotel is well situated and, if one is there mainly just to sleep, is ok. Probably not so good if one was going to be in the hotel for more of the time. Most of the staff friendly and helpful." (107610532)

    This hotel represents quite good value for money in the lower price range for London.

    Slowish check in due to person on duty dealing with a telephone call, which sounded personal rather than to do with the hotel. Some areas of the hotel are shabby. I was allocated a room on the fifth floor and the lift only goes as far as the fourth - I was glad I didn't have much luggage!

    "The levels of cleanliness were disgusting. There were dust bunnies on the walls and dust all over the dressing table. Had we not been pushed for time to get to our evening engagement we would have left and found another hotel. " (107597603)

    The room was disgusting. There was dust on the walls that brushed off on your clothes. The bathroom was just as dirty.
