    Great facilities. Excellent food. Very easy check in/out procedure. Very competitive prices when booking early. Very good parking facilities. Extremely friendly and helpful staff.

    Nice clean room overlooking the canal. Beautifully manicured gardens. Helpful and friendly staff. Good food in the restaurant and a very good breakfast. Would certainly recommend this hotel.

    "Only there for the one night, the hotel facilities were excellent the Swimming pool is fantastic for relaxing. The views over the canal and countryside are wonderful. The food in the hotel restaurant is first class and the breakfast was delicious. Will definitely go back again." (108227759)

    The leisure complex is fantastic, restaurant food first class and hotel room very comfortable. All the staff were very friendly and helpful.

    Some road noise from nearby A5, but did not trouble us.

    Very Clean, Loads of facilities inc Spa, Gym, Swimming pool, Balcony in room, Great food.

    Would have liked to have been told about more of the facilities and either given a tour of the hotel to find everything or had some literature in the room explaining whats available and where its located as it had so much to offer.

    Cleanliness and presentation of hotel was very good. lovely setting, evening meal good, reasonable price, variety of menu good.

    Did feel the staff in the bar area and waitress staff a little bit lacking in personality and character. Felt the area needed more atmosphere @ dinner.

    None really, although the menu is perhaps too comprehensive for the kitchens abilities.

    "Had a lovely room overlooking the canal. Dinner on first night was excellent, disappointing on the second but my complaint to the manager resulted in an apology and a reduction in the bill. Breakfast is very good - plenty of choice and friendly helpful staff." (107532620)

    Excellent location and facilities. Extensive Restaurant menu - overall very good quality food.

    One criticism is the need to ask Reception to turn up the heating - can't be controlled from the room. Also disappointing meal in restauarant. I have stayed in this hotel many times and until this time had always enjoyed very good meals. Drinks service in Resaurant was also very slow on both the nights I stayed.

    Excellent place, the swimming pool is fantastic, the food in the restaurant was excellent.

    When booking on priceline it does not let you nominate the number of children, so I put it on the notes, however, the hotel did not receive the information - poor for such a well established website

    The position of the hotel was convenient and easy to find. The surroundings were delightful and the ambience of the hotel was excellent. Rooms were comfortably furnished and a high standard of cleanliness was apparent. Staff were friendly, helpful and welcoming.

    I would have liked to have had a shower cap amongst the complimentary toiletries which we seldom use.

    Clean, lovely setting. Staff pleasant and helpful. All required facilities in the room. Meal (mine) and breakfast in restaurant excellent.

    our first room - all excellent, except for the fans, the bathroom fan was very noisy, we were told this is a permanent fan, and the air conditioning fan and associated grills etc. rattled like mad just outside the bathroom door. We were moved to another room, which was cold and not of the same standard as the first one. The bed appeared to have a weak area in the middle so all night was a battle not to roll against each other. All in all not a good night's rest. We ate in the restaurant and my meal of Lamb shank was beautiful, but my wifes' meal of poached stuffed chicken was very dry and not particularly enjoyable.

    Ratings speak for themselves.

    Unfortunately, the TV is not very good. Only about 4 channnels to view and no facility to view pay-as-you-go movies, which there were previously. I would also like to see a change-over of menu more frequently as it has not been changed since I started to go there last February. Although there is now the spa menu it would be nice to have the main restaurant menu change.

    Apart from the accommodation, restaurant & meals being of a high standard, the leisure facilities were excelent.

    Only comment I could make is that the temperature of the water suply to the room could have done to have been warmer.

    as a general rule staff friendly and helpful - lovely facilities at the leisure club and gym - staff there very warm and welcoming

    three times now my room wasn't thoroughly clean - crumbs by the table, greasy marks on the table itself, hair on the floor of the bathroom

    Very handy for us to visit relatives in the area and good value for money when stay includes a weekend day.

    Absence of room/hotel information pack for update meant info for guests was not available in the room. I understand it will be replaced when more correct and meaningfull data has been included.

    Breakfast in the room was very good.

    The room service meal was inadequate. The food was on time, but was cold and not very good value for money. Also, our room was opposite the claeners staff room, and we were woken up several times very early by the staff banging the doors and talking in the corridor very loudly. So what should have been a good nights sleep with a lie in the next day, did not happen. Upon arrival the room was very cold and we had to call reception to get them to heat the room for us. I would have thought that the heating should have been put on automatically.

    "It's difficult to find a Hotel that will accept a dog, so we were delighted with this find. Excellent location for exploring, but beware of the busy A5 when coming and going. Very nice hotel, good quality facilities (the shower was great)and excellent food - an all round success." (107699678)

    Specific ground floor room especially for dogs and their accompanying humans was really good, clean and tidy, plenty of space and patio door opening out onto a grassed area. Hotel very clean, friendly helpful staff, food in the bar was excellent. I would definately recommend it.

    Lack of any sort of bin to dispose of my "poop scoops".

    Location was perfect. Food, Drink and Service in the Waterside was excellent. Very friendly staff. Breakfast delicious in lovely conservatory overlooking the canal.
