    Courteous staff. Interesting concierge on two cell phones at once. Location of your facility is fabulous.

    Over looked no air-cond. when I booked. The weather was super.

    Excellent location and good quality accommodation. We were upgraded to an executive room which had recently been refurbished and was very good.

    excellant location as going to theatre and wanting to visit covent garden etc , very good value for money, quick check in with very professional, polite staff

    As my stay was during the heatwave the rooms were very hot we did have a fan but ideally a larger stand up fan would of been more beneficial and we could not open the windows so the room was rather uncomfortable, otherwise the room was of good standard, clean and good decor .

    "Only stayed one night on this occasion and did not realise there was so much to see and do in the vicinity. I will be booking again - for longer." (107845018)

    Excellent location for the West End. Staff very helpful and polite. Our room was clean and the bed comfortable.

    In spite of booking a "Club Room" it was not air conditioned which meant that we had to leave the window open resulting in a noisier night than I would have liked. (Granted it was a very warm night)

    Very disappointed with the room. Size and cleanliness below par. When asked to be moved into a double room because the twin beds were too small the man on reception had no interest in dealing with me and said they were fully booked.

    "I'm surprised that you could hear guests in neighbouring rooms so clearly in a hotel of this age, however I guess that was due to the partitioning that was added later to create many more (much smaller) rooms. Also, opening the window let the London noise flood in (but you can't blame the hotel for that!). The "Hopps" bar is very well priced and - unusually for a hotel - one I'd recommend." (107722808)

    Good value for London. Clean and comfortable.

    Breakfast a bit pricey, but there is an excelent pub next door that do full english for £4.50.

    Hotel situated in an area which was near places of interest to us e.g. Covent Garden, Leicester Square, Theatres, cinemas etc. Comfortable bed.

    Room was not very spacious and the bathroom was too small. Our previous stay that week in a Premier Inn room in Manchester for £62 per night, was more comfortable as the room was quite spacious as was the bathroom.

    Good service, Staff was friendly and helpful, the room very clean, breakfast very good, and all together the stay was very pleasant

    There was only a small wardrobe for my clothes ( for hanging my clothes) and no drawers at all where I could put small pieces like underwear and sweaters.

    Clean adequate room. Polite and friendly staff at check in.

    Toilet although clean had become stained over the years. Mattress and pillow a bit too firm for me. Room could do with coat of paint and new carpet. No kettle in room.

    Hotel had no record of my reservation when i arrived. I was made to wait 30 minutes whilst the problem was resolved. The staff appeared untrained and incapable of the basic tasks. The room quality was extremly poor and i had to upgrade and even then the room quality was poor.

    "Everything was okay at the hotel. Only fact that I didn't like was the fact that the internet access was not for free, which from my experience should have been included in the price for such hotel profile. If I was to stay more than one night, I would definetly stay in a hotel that has free internet connection as a room facility." (107481656)

    Room was clean and the staff were generally helpful.

    The first member of staff we met on check-in was abrupt and rude. He told my three adult sons in no uncertain terms to go and sit down as he would only deal with one person - not a good first impression of the hotel. When there was a bit confusion over whether the stay had been paid in full at time of booking as I had assumed or was still due to be paid to the hotel, his attitude was quite aggresive and he was not happy when I insisted that I needed to confirm this with the booking agent. However the next female member of staff who dealt with us after this was extremely helpful so obviously some of the staff are well trained in customer service. Our Club bedrooms very small and overlooking an inner courtyard which was quite noisy.

    Good clean hotel great staff both at reception and at breakfast. Looked after well although not a 5 star the hotel lobby and the way in which we were treated was 5 star I would stay here again

    The room rate did not include breakfast but for the price it should have.

    "The Strand Palace Hotel gives you very good value for your money; I was very satisfied and will definitely be staying here again, and next year for sure! Being a theatre lover, this is the place to stay right in the centre of the West End!" (108028381)

    Centrally located in the West End, friendly and helpful staff, nice clean (club) room, breakfast (through room service)okay ...

    The only thing I can think of is the cord of the hairdryer; that was too short to be able to handle adequately.

    Was told when booking that credit card used for securing room could also be used to pay for the room. This was not the case and we then had to use our personal credit card. Also, we had booked breakfast and there was a delay in the morning due to them not having us on the breakfast list.

    I very much liked the hotel, location was the best part, we had access on foot for Covent Garden, Oxford Street, underground, etc, and the room was quiet and warm.
