    The internet site needs to clarify the the hotel's proximity to a busy road - very nosisy until 2 AM and then traffic from 6 AM the interior of the hotel is in need of major refurbishment - torn carpet stairs - updatingif

    Breakfast was fine, management were friendly.

    Terrible terrible room, should not be allowed. Hotel fully booked so no chance of moving to a diferent room. If I thought it would be possible to get a refund for this hotel from my credit card I would definately try!!

    Very accurately described in website material .. exactly what we expected(except the breakfasts, which were much nicer than usual for a medium budget French hotel!) Good location, nice seaviews, friendly staff.

    The hotel was not luxurious but not was it advertised as such. But it was pleasant and had all the facilities we'd expect of its grading

    good location, friendly and extremely helpful English speaking staff,excellent view from small balcony (room 307) comfy ,clean bed,nice continental inclusive breakfast,

    carpets and bathroom in need of upgrade but understand from the owner that upgrade of all rooms and public areas ongoing

    "If you like querky french hotels then this is one for you. It appears part of the hotel has been updated, when it is all done it will certainly be a great improvement,not sure if that will happen though! Beware of stairs, worn carpet and bad lighting, lift very small. Good breakfast and staff excellant. Very helpful with local tips re transport. Thought it was too expensive for what it was."     Booked 2 rooms, one was good had recently been refurbished, the second room very poor, seemed to have been partly refurbished. So called balcony hopeless, could not have 2 chairs and table with any room to move. Both rooms had very poor bathrooms. Decor up the stairs and carpet dreadfull, loose carpet and peeling paper.

    "I would certainly use this hotel again. The bedroom was comfortable and quite spacious but lacked adequate storage facilities, it was clean and very well serviced. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful at all times." (99380827)

    It was clean, bright and comfortable; a very pleasant 2 star French hotel quite convenient to the old quarter of Villefranche. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was good.

    It was 194 steps down to the old town which for my wife was a bit of a struggle

    "We would suggest to anyone who has booked this hotel not to go on first impressions!! After upgrading the room to a comfort with sea view and balcony we were very happy. We had a fabolous view of the bay. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the hotel was very clean, even though it could do with a bit of a makeover in some areas. The buffet breakfast was great and our room was cleaned and linen changed each day. We had a great holiday and the location and Villefranche is absolutely beautiful." (97411556)

    Excellent location - 5 mins from the town and amenities.

    We had to upgrade from a standard to a comfort room. The standard allocated was very poor and this didn't give a very good impression to start with.

    "The hotel was more than adequate for our needs. The room was clean and well furnished - bed particularly comfortable. The hike up to our room with luggage was a bit tiring as was the trek to the town (but we are in our 60's). The staff are friendly and a good breakfast is served." (99397340)

    The balcony and sea view were a bonus and made out stay most enjoyable.

    "The English speaking staff were most helpful. The night porter personally took my wife to a physio who did wonders for her painful neck complaint. All the staff including chambermaids were charming. Easy local parking (June) at moderate cost. Comfortable beds and extra pillows provided quickly. Breakfast in the room by ordering via in room telephone. Delicious fresh bread & croissants etc." (99195558)

    Charming small room with a wonderful view of Villefranche Bay. Balcony big enough for breakfast which was only 1 euro extra

    Good location and easily accessible for local transport. Very good breakfast facilities.

    The room was clean but there is obviously a damp problem in the hotel.

    "I would recommend Villefranche-sur-mer to everyone! The staff at this hotel make up for the property's age in friendliness and knowledge of the area. Make sure to eat at Loco Loco if you like mussels they are great and so are the prices at this restraunt." (3305071569)

    The staff is knowledgable and frendly, The rooms are small but clean and have airconditioning, The location and proximity to the beach and shops, restraunts are the major plus.The breakfast great!!

    There are a number of stairs and the elevator is very small.

    "This is a friendly hotel which provides everything to make a holiday pleasurable on a low budget. The staff are particularly helpful, the room was always clean and the breakfast is very good!     Good value for money. Contained everything for comfortable stay. The air conditioning was a bonus!
