    Our stay was even better than we expected and as we came to view prospective wedding locations your hotel was our first and last place of visiting as we made our minds up as soon as we saw the facilities available.We have booked for next year.The wedding arranger and staff at Blacksmith old workshop were ever so friendly and helpful.

    We could only stay for the day due to work commitments.

    Struggle to buy a simple pint of Beer at the Bar had to wait too long whilst cocktails were being made for the ladies, more bar staff at certain times would be good

    Staff were excellent - customer service was second to none. Hotel cleanliness was excellent. The restaurant and its staff were excellent and of course the food was equally fantastic!!!

    The room was clean and comfortable and staff were very helpful.

    My room faced the rear of the hotel and suffered with noise from the heavy traffic passing nearby.

    "Chose to stay at Smith's at Gretna Green because we enjoy the shops there - no hassle and good parking. Should we have been staying longer the hotel was quite well placed for sightseeing to many different places, all within 1 to 2 hours driving time. Would stay again." (97431352)

    Hotel siza was just right. Rooms and hotel were well heated. Restaurant - food was good and we had evening meal. breakfast and lunch. Service good.

    Shortage of seating area in the lounge section of the bar.

    "The accomodation was excellent and a lovely surprise. The standard of the rooms was very high with lovely touches such as the fire and toiletries. The rest of the hotel was of equally high standard and the food was excellent." (97825606)

The hotel is easy to find, but there again my husband belongs to Gretna so it was no problem for him. If we were going to stay in Gretna again we would definately stay in your hotel.     The room was a nice size and very comfortable. The staff were very helpful and the food excellent. We were very impressed with the hotel.

    heated towel rail to close to toilet,,burnt my arm..no sugar provided for cereals at breakfast staff unable to get any...although advertised on web sight..we was told there is no smoking rooms..this is also contrary to what it says in the welcome pack...no porridge available for breakfast..(scotland?????)

    "The Smiths is conveniently located, a short walk across the road to the Blacksmiths, shops and museum. The hotel is an ideal retreat for adults to enjoy, the furniture and general layout isn't very child friendly, though some guests stayed with young children.(Two younger ones bumped their heads quite badly at breakfast, on a protruding corner) We had to wait about half an hour before our room was ready (cleaning staff were off sick) but spent the time wisely, in the bar, which was a bit expensive. The whole interior of the hotel is modern and clean and has a relaxed atmosphere. There is ample parking which is well lit at night. We had no hot water on the morning of our check out, due to a burst pipe, which was annoying , but just one of those things. We have stayed in more expensive hotels that are nowhere near as good as the Smiths." (3304948217)

    Bedroom and bathroom very modern and clean, with all amenities. Breakfast very good with service to match. Good atmosphere and friendly staff.
