    "We enjoyed it, largely due to the position of the hotel which was totally convenient for everything we wanted to do. Our room was comfortable and the noise usually over by the time we settled to sleep. We had convenient parking. " (108110253)

    wonderful situation in Stratford near theatre and opposite what was New Place. Historic building, modern and comfortable room, breakfast OK if you did not arrive near the end of specified times, own hotel car park

    Room 314 above bar, so noisy till after 11.00 pm, room rather dark, but that was inevitable due to its position in a very old building, tv had only about 9 channels for Freeview, not quite enough light for elderly eyes to read in comfort, not a complete complement of foods for breakfast - we saw no cneese and cold meats as specified on the menu in our room, food on buffet table ran out towards the end of official breakfast time, so latecomers were unlucky.

    Very comfortable and well appointed room. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Excellent for walking to all the main attractions in Stratford.

    There were not enough staf on duty at breakfast times (Fri/Sat). Tables were not cleared nor orders taken swiftly due to lack of staff - those staff on duty were extremely polite and did a good job under the circumstances

    Character and location was good.Food taken was good, evening meal and breakfast was good, buffet would have been better.

    1 adult in our party was in a wheelchair, we experienced limited disabled facilities, back door entance to restaurant due to wheel chair, restricted in corridors due to maids trolleys restricting passage, only one disabled room available and that was in use.No ramp to front door entrance.

    Staff were absolutely fantastic so friendly and eager to help. Breakfast great. In a perfect location. Hotel enchanting. Old but with modern facilties. Loved reading about it's history.

    Telephone didn't work in room. Cot wasnt ready or in room on arrival even though it had been booked on line but staff got it straight away.

    Good breakfast, room and parking.

    Unfriendly reception staff - no welcome when you enter the hotel! Also, undermanned - there only ever seemed to be one person on reception - but it was Xmas time.

    We really enjoyed our stay. We were in the old part of the hotel which we much prefer to be in. The staff as always were helpful and polite. I would certainly recommend to friends

    Position of the hotel excellent and easy to find. Excellent parking facilities. Good breakfast, clean room, friendly,courteous and smartlooking employees.

    Staircase near the reception area scruffy. Did not look like it had been cleaned during our stay.Would help if the hotel had an automatic door from the car park. It was very difficult to get through the doors with cases.

    This place is in an excellent location, has nice sized rooms and good food (excellent food according to the 9 year old). There is a lovely garden in the back and a fun, old world look to the main building. The staff was friendly and were helpful with recommendations. The kids especially loved it (beautiful according to the 9 year old).

    The rooms were stuffy, no good ventilation.

    Excellent central location, very friendly & helpful staff, plenty of car parking, clean throughout.

    Ensuite bathroom was a bit on the small side. Breakfast was fine though felt range was limited. Would have liked more fresh fruit and to have had option of kippers on breakfast menu.

    Location, service, accommodation, staff courtesy--all first-rate.

    None, really--the location of my room was a bit unlucky; because my room was located along the walkway for the rest of the garden section, I had to choose between privacy (keeping the drapes closed all the time) and daylight and fresh air via the tiny opening at the top of the window. Next time I'll just request a different room.

    Great room - good view - good breakfast.

    Room too hot and no means of cooling (1st night). Air conditioning started at 6.30am and there was no way sleep was possible after that and as we were on a recharging break that was very bad - we went home even more tired than when we started.

    "overall a nice hotel and good value for money but breakfast staff, receptionist staff and maids need manners. breakfast was very stressful - not what you need on a sunday morning. lots of staff rushing around, but not many customers and the food took so long to arrive we walked out!"     rooms very nice and overall the hotel decor had lots of character, just what you would expect for the area.

    staff were not very pleasant, maid walked in to our room without knocking. breakfast was not very good - no refresh of pastries, limited cereal choice, cooked breakfast took ages to order then ages to arrive.

    "Although we had 'snorbits' sleeping in the next room, we were very impressed with the hotel and would definitely recommend it especially at the price paid, and once the work outside in the town is complete, it will be ideal. We do appreciate however that this is not the hotels fault, and for 'snorbits'; he or she must have roused every hibernating animal for thirty miles! So again this moan is perhaps a little harsh on the hotel." (97565785)

    Very impressed with the hotel decor, facitlies and position. A nice place to stay once the council have finished whatever work they are doing on the town itself.

    We were awoken at 3am by workmen in the town (not in the hotel), and then kept awake by someone next door snoring loudly.
