    "Our stay was marred by a large group of mainly men who were extremely drunk and kept banging aggresively on our bedroom door in the night. We reported this to the manager the next morning and he was very apologetic and discounted our room rate." (107188468)

    Staff were helpful. Breakfast was good. Bed was comfortable and clean.

    Remote on the Feeview box didn't work. The room was very small and in a block remote from the main hotel building. Anyone could access the corridor to our room as there was no key to the outside door and the hotel is on a main road, although not near a town.

    Partial refund of money for the bad experience

    The Coach House did not receive our booking (they say)? Probably would not book through Active Hotels again unless we receive a good explanation. Dissatisfied with the room e.g. cleanliness, state of the furnishing in the en-suite area, TV remote not working etc. Overall a bad experience.

    The hotel was only a few minutes drive from our relatives, as there are not may hotels in the area, this was an excellent location.

    If I stayed again, I would request a room on the ground floor, we had an upstairs room with only a skylight for a window.

    nicely presented room that was clean and bright

    there was no hot water in the bathroom unless you used shower and there were cob webs on the ceiling, dinner prices were also slightly expensive and menu was not really to suit everyone.

    Double room was OK for single occupancy but would have been a bit cramped for two people.

    Polish ladies were great.

    Toilet and shower area was too small. Toilet smelled of something that put me off the hotelon the first night.

    "The hotel did what we needed it to do - we slept there and had breakfast. We thought it was rather expensive for what it was. I think next time I'd try somewhere else." (107264214)

    Main building was well decorated and furnished with lovely pictures. Staff were pleasant. The shower in our room was very good, although the shower head kept sliding down the pole.

    Our room was tiny and although the best use had been made of the space available, it was very cramped. We never worked out when the heating would be on or off - we seemed to have no control over the radiators. The window frame needed painting and the air freshener hidden behind the curtain needed renewing.

    The fountain and restaurant and food were excellent.

    Noise of the lorries in the night was a bit of a nuisance. The room was smaller than I was used to but OK. The bar and drink were very good providing a relaxed atmosphere. Plenty of room to park

    Receptionist on arrival very helpful. Breakfast execellent both food and room.

    toilet did not work very well and it was very stained. The room fittings needed a good dusting. Lack of pillows. Tap water pressure very low.

    Clean and tidy. Staff pleasant. Near to Cambridge. Pretty cheap. Ample parking.

    Small room / bathroom. Cooked breakfast nothing special. Near a main road so slight background noise, though nothing terrible. There is no air-con / fan, so on hot nights the only option is to leave a window open - not normally an issue, but as almost all the rooms are on the ground floor, it feels a little risky.

    Courtious and helpful receptionist at arrival. Supplied iron and ironing board on request, although iron did not work. Room was clean and comfortable.

    Asked if i could leave my bags for a few hours. This was fine but she placed them on a chair in full view. I queried this so she placed them behind the bar. Later i returned and collected the bags from behind the bar. Nobody queried me or challenged me despite there being a different receptionist who had not seen me before. Not very secure.

    Hot Water

    Room Smelt of an undiscribable aroma which was of shake and vak or another brand air freshener which was absoluteley disgusting, we had to open the windows and air the room before we could stay there. My son's room next door had a broken lock which couldn't be fixed so had to move away from us which was an extreme sour note, and then low and behold after moving it was fixed!!!!

    "The hotel delivered what I required (reasonable priced accommodation, good breakfast and helpful staff). If there was a weakness it was in the main course of the evening meal we ordered. Steak was underwhelming with bought in chips. Breakfast was very good - proper bacon and sausage included - i.e. not just the average mass produced stuff. Sat Nav didn't like the post code (probably because the hotal is on the main road and near (ish) to Melbourn but away from other properties (apart fom the petrol station opposite)." (97757199)

    it was quiet, clean (except the carpet) comfortable bed, pleasant bar area but the bedroom needed pictures/warmth - very 'cell' like

    the bed linen was too small for the room and only came up to just over our waist which was uncomfortable although the bed it self was comfy

    "The hotel was adequate value for money. It was more remote than I envisaged and whilst the food was ok if I had the choice I would have gone elsewhere. My room was small with cupboard doors opening on the bed, trouser press, bag stool etc were present but not practical to use (present to get a rating I suspect. Set of drawers was broken.     Breakfast was good!!! Hotel position was excellent.

    Owner of the hotel was miserable and you can see and feel that every step of the way. I had to send my dinner back because my stake was burned, mushroom came out of the tin no one made an attempt to apologies. Some people shouldn't be in hospitality industry if they don't like to deal with guests.

    Staff were very friendly. Breakfast was very good. Towels were very white and fluffy.

    The rooms were very small. Bedding was sheets and blankets - very old fashioned. Shower was stuck together with a sticking plaster!!!

    "I would liked to have known that the Hotel was on a main road and that the picture shown was the back of the Hotel. There was plenty of parking space and very friendly staff, the dining room was clean and modern. The room needed complete decoration and updating.     "I really wish I knew how awful the accomodation was before I booked. It seems if a hotel supplies a trouser press and a kettle in an ensuite room they can command £60 plus for the night it wasn't worth £20,00. We were horrified there was a plaster as in a band-aid holding up the shower head and when we asked if we could change rooms we were told all the rooms were exactly the same. It was mouldy and musty and the most uncomfortable we have ever been. People have to complain and thats why i'm writing this England is beautiful but the standard of b and b's and hotel star ratings need to be addressed so that there is a basic standard that everyone can comprehend. Paying customers deserve to know what they are getting, unfortunately our booking was already processed and we were unable to cancel on arrival when we witnessed the atrocity. Had there not been a snow storm we would have driven back home and forgot about the money lost but we were stranded and it was awful. Never again!!!!!!" (97017558)

    We disliked everything about this hotel, they advertise as having double rooms it didn't even constitute a broom cupboard size.

    "Generally it was an ok hotel which was easy to find and convenient for my meeting. I wouldn't have been so happy if I had a longer stay planned as there was no space in the bedroom to work or even really move about that much." (97209428)

    The room had good lighting and was a good temperature (not too hot!)

    The room was very small which made it difficult to use the wardrobe and drawers. Also these were of a very flimsy nature and the drawers were broken.

    Free wireless network for pc (not very well advertised). Clock radio. Conveniently located on A515 for many local places of interest and especially Cambridge.

    Locally, quite pricey - room a bit small for double bed. Shower only rather than bath/shower.

    the rooms are located in a converted stable block well away from traffic noise. The bar/restaurant has been upgraded recently but is a bit cold, the staff were freindly however. I dodnt eat there so cant comment on the food.

    The room was in dire need of refurbishment, feels like its been transported from the 1970's. It was also very small and although reasonably equiped and warm was really too compact. Noise from other rooms was also apparent.I was unsure how clean it was too, just a few signs that it wasnt as well cleaned as it should be. Had an excellent shower though which was a nice surprise.
