    Location close to Duxford Air Museum. Medium sized. Ample English Breakfast.Pleasant and helpful staff. Village area. Very comfortable rooms.

    Easy to book, easy to find. Free wireless internet. Nice dining and pub. Room was clean and comfortable. Friendly staff.

    Whole hotel very clean and well furnished, very polite and attentive staff, food in the restaurant excellent. Very comfortable bed and nice pillows. Excellent breakfast.

    Room a little too warm but that was far better than being cold as experienced in many other hotels. Could have had more fruit at breakfast

    More interesting than run of the mill modern hotels.Comfortable stay.Pleasant views over the gardens at breakfast.

    Had to have baths rather than use the shower because no temperature control on latter and it was far too hot the water.

    wasnt sure about security on door - i couldnt lock it in my room dining room very quite - would have been more comfortable to have backgroud music and newspapers to read at breakfast

    "Very well located for conference in Welcome Genome conference centre. Polite and professional reception and staff overall service. Only spent one night so did not eat at the restaurant, but opted for room service. Good baguette, but unfortunately the all french fries were very well done (burnt) which let the food down somewhat. Breakfast was a selection of cereals, fruit juices, yoghurts, as well as cooked grill breakfast. All was very tasty and well presented. Staff at breakfast were polite and food arrived in good time. Paper offered, wake-up call offered. I would recommend this hotel for the business traveller who is tired of staying in your regular Hilton etc. Quaint and pleasant, with a bonus of free wi-fi internet access which put the icing on the cake."     "Our booking was for two rooms,one single one double,both rooms were were excellent with views over the well kept gardens. We did have the evening meal but did have the full English breakfast which was very enjoyable and served in Old English style which we found quite charming. All the staff were brilliant and I could not find fault in our stay in any way.This really is a lovely quiet hotel but still within minutes of the main motorway and trunk roads.     "Good basic hotel with friendly staff and a hearty breakfast. The restaurant for evening meal was too fancy and complicated so we opted for a pub meal in the village which was fantastic." (97283229)

    Quiet peaceful location for the hotel that accepted dogs at no extra charge and gave us a room that led direct onto the garden

    The bed was too soft and rather uncomfortable

    We could not fault the Hotel its staff from the management to the cleaners they were all very friendly & very helpful.The Resturant was excellent with its good choice of meals.

    Why was it only three star it should be five star

    "My general opinion of the weekend was it was lovely and I would certainly recommend the hotel to anyone. The nice weather made it." (97803666)

    The nice homely rooms, not sterile like you can get at other places. It's locality to Duxford Air Museum, which was why we went.

    The food was to fancy, we went to a pub in the village for evening meals. The Freeview box in the room didn't work and the reception couldn't do anything about it.

    Room size was generous. The bed was extrememly comfortable. The room was well ventilated.

    "The hotel provided a pleasant overnight stay in a pleasant setting but it appears to be a missed opportunity. The room whilst fairly generously sized was rather jaded and out of date and would definitely benefit from the decor being updated. The bedspread ws ripped and marked. The bathroom was quite small and only adequate with a shower over the bath. We did find an excellent pub called John Barleycorn,in the village serving a wide menu including plain grilled meats or fish of varying prices with far more appeal than the over fussy and highly priced hotel restaurant. The hotel restaurant appeared to have only 3 bookings on a Friday evening whilst the pub restaurant was full to capacity - this speaks volumes! We were not introduced to the restaurant menu by staff on our arrival to promote this service. However the breakfasts were very good. Had we not used Active Hotels for a discount rate we would have been disappointed." (3305163958)

    "I have stayed before and the staff are attentive. They dealt with my need for a local taxi efficiently when I was going out for the evening. Restaurant is good and breakfast is excellent value for money. The hotel is in a lovely setting will beautiful gardens. Rooms are airy and clean and comfortable." (3305194467)

    Shower not great. No wirelesss internet connection. The pillows were not great!

    "I would recommend this hotel, the room was comfortable and homely (in a way you don't get with the Marriots/Hiltons etc.) The Hotel was clean and well kept in a quiet area with good road links to Cambridge and walking distance from the village of Duxford. The hotel restaurant is also of very high quality, we had both the evening meal and breakfast. There is a good choice of food on the menu and the chef obviously knows what he/she is doing. The service is polite and friendly and you will not feel you are being hurried. An evening meal here should be treated as an event in itself and you need to set aside a couple of hours for it."
