    "avis partagé. Belle vue, personnel agréable mais salle d'eau à revoir." (107727554)

    belle vue sur le port. réponse rapide et efficace au problème d'absence d'eau froide.

    salle d'eau trop exigûe, vieille, en mauvais état avec sanibroyeur bruyant et peu avenant. Mais la touche finale a été l'absence d'eau froide nécessitant le lendemain (trop tard le soir) un changement de chambre pour prendre une douche.

    "Simple accommodation that was well priced and very clean - we had a family room for three and there was enough room for all of us." (107575256)

    We just needed a clean and tidy room before crossing to the UK having travelled from Germany and it is exactly what we needed. We had the breakfast for 7 euros the next morninig and that was ok too. I have had lunch at this restaurant a couple of years ago and that was was really nice.

    good and attentive staff

    Lack of attention to detail. eg how to flush the toilet, hot tap in the sink not working correctly. In my mothers room the main room light was unsafe at the switch.

    This is an ordinary 2 star French hotel and very good value at the price (?56 incl breakfast)

    "We enjoyed our stay but would not return because of the access problems" (107725104)

    Well positioned basic hotel with an excellent,although expensive,restaurant.

    Although we had booked as an elderly couple we were initially allocated a room on the second floor with access by difficult stairs. This was rectified but the first floor room we had required negotiating 25 stairs.

    Excellent location for Channel Tunnel, only 10 minute drive to terminal. Breakfast was good and plentiful, and service was very good.

    Family room was 'snug', but adequate for an overnight stay. Bathroom was tiny and you had to leave the door open to dry yourself after a shower. Ventilation in bathroom wasn't working but no-one on Reception in the morning to report this to. Comment card in room but no pen, so couldn't let them know.

    "Have stayed in this hotel several times in the past but this time was placed on the top floor - impossible with suitcases and no lift.Toilet very very smelly! Price has gone up over the years but seems no improvements to hotel at all" (97438721)

    Ideally situated for our needs our friend only lived 5 minutes walk away, also ideally situated for Eurostar and the channel port if needed - quiet location even though it was on the main street.Breakfast was very good for the 7 euros

    No bad points as such although the bathroom was very tiny but adequate. The locks on the door could have been a bit more safe.

    "any port in a storm.Cannot judge completely since it was part shut" (108021074)

    the receptionist was pleasant and assisted me ( I am old)cannot and obtained a taxi for me next morning. which arrived. The room was confortable and clean but there was no lift and I had to carry my own luggage up stairs ,with difficulty.

    The restaurant was shut. and so to the restaurant next door. the breakfast should have been available from 07.15 but the sole staffmember arrived late and some people had to go without.

    "Fine, but the hotel is on a busy cross roads and there was an open air concert down the road in the square, so people drifted noisily away until about 2.00am when the road was re-opened!" (97999031)

    The staff were extremely helpful and charmimg.

    The room was very compact and the shower somewhat 'Heath Robinson'; a kettle in the room would have been an advantage.

    booked two rooms over Internet, when we arrived they only had reserved one,we were told fortunately,they had another room - it was horrible small and very smelly we were given air spay for the room what was shown on the Internet was not given at the hotel for rooms or breakfast

    "We were concerned about parking on the street, but we were assured that it was free, which was good and there was no problem. We were right on the top floor, and boy those stairs were a hard climb with bags. We were expecting connecting rooms as on the e-mailed booking form, but we just had 1 large room with 2 double beds. Lady at reception spoke fabulous english, put our french to shame! The restaurant was closed which was a shame, but used the sister restaurant across the road which was good and we got 5% discount with a voucher from room. We got back and then had to sort out a cockroach but no more appeared so quite relieved about that. We didn't book breakfast as at 7euros each i thought we'd get better elsewhere, which we did."     The bathroom was far too small, couldn't even get dressed in there. The walls were paper thin and we heard everything in the 2 rooms either side of us past midnight when they arrived home and woke us all up.

    "Nice hotel, with clean room, and most have views of the pier and ocean. Access and transport was easy to figure out. I purchased room at discount but even at normal price would have been good value for money. The hotel is surrounded by restaurants. I would recommend this hotel as convenient." (97040160)

    The ease of access, there was a separate door for entrance so there would be no curfew.

    The breakfast was a cold breakfast which would have been nice to know beforehand.

    Good clean room for the right price

    The small bore toilet system, it seemed to smell a little bit. Not too bad though.

    The room was extremely small, poorly appointed and quite depressing. The shower provided had no wall attachment and had to be hand held. There wasno access to one side of a the bed, so my wife had to clamber over the other side of the bed to get out. The outlook to the rear of the building from the windoe was dismal with frequent (unpleasant) cooking odours wafting into the room.
