    the staff could not do enough for yor they were courteus,kind and very helpful,nothing was too much trouble and the food was fantastic.

    Nice room, generally good facilities and nice restaurant. Staff were friendly and helpful

    Lights were not working properly in my room for two days. Was not fun having to shower in the dark

    For a 4* hotel the room was good value for money. The swimming pool was very clean.

    We had an evening meal on the first night which in my opinion was expensive. We didn't have breakfast as this also appeared to be expensive.

    Staff were very helpfull.

    Internet site used did not clearly state that there was a full charge for cancellation. One day after booking I found a cheaper website for the same rooms.

    The standards of cleanliness were well above average and all of the staff were very polite and courteous.

    Standard of food was not as good as our stay last year. We both had a very disappointing steak on the first night and had to have a bar meal on the second night as the restaurant was very busy - this too was not great.

    Welcoming hotel with local staff throughout. Completely hassle free couple of nights for our party of 5. Breakfast with members of The Verve behind us was a highlight. Great views of the Gorge from the restaurant. Rooms and hotel very clean.

    Lighting in bathroom was pretty awful - either bright light under spotlights or too little light in other parts of room.

    "we have nothing but positive thing to say about the hotel and Qhotels as a group,they have been very helpful and infact we are returning to the hotel at half term with our granddaughter as the hotel offers a great package." (97448243)

    it was clean,well maintained,quality bedding, and great staff throughout.

    our only dislike was there was no fridge in the room.

    Modern clean and well designed room and en-suite, good in room facilities and quality TV

    Small point but the extractor fan in the en-suite ran 24/7

    Clean, tidy and warm.

    In my opinion over priced evening meals. Selection a little limited so I ate in Ironbridge - good choice and better value for money.

    The room exceeded our expectations - we were in the older part of the hotel building, which had stunning views over the Ironbridge Gorge. The room was really spacious and the bed was huge and most comfortable have ever slept in! Food and service was also really good.

    only criticisms would be that the bathroom was in need of refurbishment but as the hotel is undergoing a renovation/refurbishment programme, am sure this will be updated soon. Also there was a bit of trek from the car to the room with heavy bags.

    the accomodation was set in lovely surroundings and was very clean

    on the second day we had finished our breafast by the time the tea and toast had come then about 10 mins later the coffee came until this happened we enjoyed the stay and were looking at staying there again.

    The room was very clean and comfortable.

    The noise of the fire doors closing in the corridors. this woke me up very early and kept me awake for the rest of the morning. I was not happy about this at all and for that reason i would not return to the hotel.

    The setting. Views from the room over the golf course.

    Nothing. Although it is undergoing a massive refurbishment which will bring it up to date. The decorating is a bit tired but the hotel was definitely value for money.

    The room 418 had been recently refurbished, every new except for some small work needed on the tiling in the bathroom.Previosuly, this hotel was looking tired and hammered, so good to see this investment.

    "One of the rooms allocated to my part, had a very clearly broken shower - no comment about this was made to my friend at the time of check in. She complained and was found an alternative room, in a different part of the hotel to our party. She felt very lonely asa it was away from the majority of rooms in a small block - this spoilt the experience for her.     "I booked this accomodation on-line. We specifically chose it for the swimming pool so that we could swim as a family. We arrived just before eight in the evening and left the next morning. It was only on arriving at the swimming pool that we found no children were allowed to swim after eight at night or before nine in the morning. This was a problem and one we should have been made aware of when booking. My son was asked to leave the pool at quarter to nine even though there was only one other swimmer in there, and then he was allowed back in after nine. However, he could only swim for ten minutes if we were to make it to breakfast by 9.30. On arriving at breakfast at 9.25 we were hurried into serving out our hot food so that it could be put away at 9.30. We explained the problem with the pool, and asked the staff to leave the food out until we were ready, but they would not obliged, and said they had to get ready for lunch. This was totally inflexible. Further, one member of staff said the pool was nothing to do with them! Our stay was spoilt by this. We had no problem with the bar area and the service there, or the rooms. The reception always seemed to have a queue and not enough staff working on it. We would not go back." (3305085878)

    "we don't think we will be staying at this hotel again. what was supposed to be a desperatly needed break turned sour. Unless they could guarantee there would be no futher problems. Although we had a reduction in the rate we feel the offer should have included more, we have come home more tired than when we went.We should say that the lady that booked us in was a credit to Swallow hotels also the male dining room manager sorted out more incompetance where we had booked through reception an evening meal for 7pm as my husband is Diabetic and when we arrived the dining room had no such booking. Steve did his best but we still had to wait 45 mins which was quite close to a hypo so you can see where our frustration is coming from.We have taken a copy of this but like a reply." (3305211027)

    incompetance of getting faults sorted especially the horendous noise from above our room at regular intervals for two nights until night manager visited at 1-15 in the morning and said how awfull the noise was and in night close were moved from one end of the hotel to the other. then the following morning back to original room then were told could not move us until after two oclock that day.reception said maintenance were looking for fault that day.
