    Nice room.

    No fitness (workout) room. And issues with the firealarm going off in the middle of the night. A little on the pricey side.

    Mostly very efficient - esp. breakfast. Friendly, polite staff. Clean facilities

    No clearcut policy on parking. It would be helpful if drivers double parking their cars in the forecourt were required to give up their keys to the front desk as a matter of course. We were woken up at 8am (!!) by a spurious message on the hotel's TV message service about a problem with somebody else's car.

    Spacious rooms.

    NOISE. A wedding party and a ball on both nights, with no sound proofing in the function rooms meant the whole hotel were kept awake into the small hours. Rooms themselves not sound proofed, so guests were subjected to ambient noise on corridors (creaking floor boards, slamming doors, conversations) Late night fire alarms are not appreciated

    "Very satisfying, we came here on a business trip but have all decided we'll come back with our families for a holiday in the near future. Harrogate is a great place for a holiday, plenty of shops and very ideal for long walks, restaurants offer good meals for very reasonable prices. Our Hotel (The Crown Hotel was ideally situated near the railway and bus stations and also close to a shopping area. All in all a very satisfying experience which again I would definitely reccommend to anyone who wants a relaxing break." (108590960)

    Good service all around, room service, restaurant, bar.. etc.. Welcoming staff, Good cleanliness and order everywhere we saw. Food very good quality.. Definitely reccommend a stay at this hotel to anyone visiting Harrogate.

    Room not great for amount paid. Night time bar staff didn't have a clue about types of drinks and good customer service.

    Good attention to the decor/style of the hotel . Good location.

    Attitude of check-in staff (really felt she had better things to do). No heating in the room - had to rely on an electric heater in the hallway. Hot water took an age to feed through to the shower. Breakfast was dis-organised - I had to ask for coffee, toast and chase for missing items from the table.

    "Very expensive. We paid over the odds for our stay, will not make the same mistake again. It may be clever to keep changing the prices on your web site but in the longer term you will lose repeat business. So taking into account the money paid out, poor value. 5 star price, 3 star hotel."     The hotel was very nice, staff very friendly. We ate in the hotel restaurant and the food was lovely. Breakfast was very good - just what I needed!

    The hotel is noisy - could hear other rooms' toilets being flushed and people outside on the street despite the window being closed The bed was softer than I'm used to. The picture is deceptive - there was very little parking and the carpark was full when we turned up at 2pm (fortunately we arrived as someone was leaving).

    Staff polite, everywhere clean, good breakfast

    Booked a table for 7.00pm, Saturday, bar staff (2/3) busy as I would expect at that time. Waited 15 minutes at the bar to be served/seated, at no time was I acknowledged or spoken to so I left and ate elsewhere in Harrogate. Had one of the staff asked for my patience and/or asked if I had made a reservation this comment wouldn't exist. One other point when I ordered the Sea Bass on the Friday evening I would expect potato's/veg/salad to be served with it. It wasn't explained that those items had to be ordered separately and at an additional cost. Both of these points are minor and can easily be addressed.

    Spacious room and very well presented hotel. Staff were welcoming and friendly. The room had all the facilities that were required of the stay.

    Possibly more choice of TV channels in the room.

    "Mostly acceptable, however some staff need to realise they are in the hospitality business, and understand what that means. If you intend to cultivate repeat business or a good reputation you need to focus more on the enjoyment of the visitors. Nobody was rude but it was the feeling of indifference" (108554540)

    The hotel is an interesting building with a sense of history, it was nice to stay in such a venue. It is convenient to town and easy enough to find. The quality of the food served was high.

    When checking in, the two staff members on the reception desk were not at all welcoming, they made us feel like we were just numbers to be processed. No personal touch or warm greeting. They did not tell us where the lifts were or roughly how to get to our room. We carried our bags up the stairs and wandered around till we found the room ourselves, only later that day did we spot the location of the lifts. The toilet was leaking badly in our bathroom. I used the facility in the morning only to find myself standing in a pool of water. When I pointed it out to the receptionist she said "OK we'll have someone take a look at it". She never offered an apology, which wouldn't have cost anything (even if it was insincere). While eating breakfast, I observed the staff turn a couple away from the dining room. This seemed wrong as even though most people were finishing eating, more food had just been brought out from the kitchen. It was 2 minutes before the breakfast period was due to end and even if it had been a minute past, some leniency should be extended it's not as if they were trying to get a breakfast in McDonalds after 11 O'Clock. These people were guests and were clearly offended by the completely inflexible actions of the staff member.

    Excellent position and interior to the hotel. Nice bathroom. Excellent breakfast.

    Very creaky floors in all bedrooms kept us awake. Limited parking. Poor quality fold out bed for child resulted in parents sleeping in it. Poor quality adult beds.

    The check in staff member was excellent, friendly, courteous, efficient and helpful.

    The hotel is a little 'tired' looking and for the room rate we'd suggest a few treaks here and there to change it from a good stay to an exceptional stay.

    I didn't get my wakeup call the first morning. I used the TV the 2nd night. A clock would be nice to have in the room. There was no washcloth and the shower curtain needed to be replaced. Parking is extremely difficult.

    Excellent customer service and attention to detail, staff always willing to help. Dining room opened early on more than one morning to accomodate commitments which existing times could not meet Excellent service and attention to detail at all functions connected with the hotel during conference Black tie dinner was one of the most successful i have ever attended and the food was excellent especially in view of the need for dietary requirements - it was really pleasing to have the same meal as everyone else but adapted to meet my needs (wheat free) so that there was no real disitinction between my meal and everyone else's at the table Room was spotlessly clean at all times with large and luxuriously thick towels - a real treat when in many hotels they are small and ususally very thin and worn!

    In all honesty none to report other than the lack of parking - which i knew about in advance and made alternative arrnagements

    We were travelling with my 6 month old daughter and made to feel very welcome by the staff, cot was provided and highchairs in the restaurants. Rooms are nicely decorated and quite spacious, some more than others. Ideal location in the centre of harrogate.

    We ate in the hotel restaurant the place in the evening unfortuatley the food was very poor which was dissapointing as we have eaten there a few times and always been very pleased. the menu choice was very limited and there were no specials like there is usually, we weren't on dinner, bed and breakfast so were paying full price. I hope this was a one off otherwise we will have to eat else where on our next visit. The breakfast in the hotel the next morning was lovely.
