    Guest house in scenic location. Very clean, comfortable, well equiped rooms with a small fridge which was handy to store fresh milk and sandwiches. Good parking. Well sign-posted.

    Lack of local restaurants within walking distance, meant a long drive every evening. Poor service at breakfast every morning.

    The room was clean

    The plumbing was very noisy and not very efficient. The TV was old and there were only three channels and none of the pictures were good enough.The room that we booked was not the room taht we were given.

    My room has only view of car park (no senery at all) and I had to close blinde all the time to prevent being seen from outside. That was terrible. It must be mentioned when I chose a room on website.

    Clean,modern,comfortable, rooms and facilities ,helpfull, friendly staff.

    Water from shower was always cold, only just warm on one occasion, never comfortably warm or hot. Needs to be changed.

    room neat and tidy, good view of the lake from room, good breakfast, have a lawn and garden, enough parking space, chef friendly ,like the overall decor of the room, good quality shower and bath products

    shower water is far too weak ( we only use the shower so it is a negative aspect of our stay ), no clear road sign from mainroad, bumpy road leading to the guesthouse, it would be great if there is someone to help with luggage at arrival, suggest better lighting for the guesthouse entrance, should have local road map showing where to dine / shop , can introduce the outlet mall as an attraction, dining room too packed

    Everybody was so freindly. The provisions in the room were topped up everyday, when we had been for a long walk and got thoroughly drenched by the weather there was nothing better than to go back to the hotel for a brew and biscuits.

    There wasn't really any confirmation on the booking so I wasn't sure if the booking had gone through properly. It was a shame the hotel is quite far from anywhere to eat it would be nice if they offered evening meals.

    Clean modern accomodation at a reasonable price. Also just up the road wonderful bar food is available so we did not have to travel far for our evening meal.

    Sausages at breakfast rather average. We would have liked something more tasty. Orange Mobile phone coverage not available in building but OK from bottom of the drive. A good excuse to be out of touch.

    "The whole booking process was very efficient - it is hard to imagine how it could be improved. The stay at the guest house was also excellent in every respect - our only problem was finding somewhere to eat in the vicinity after 9 o'clock in the evening, but this is certainly not the fault of the guest house!"     Location, service, quiet surroundings. Bedroom beautifully presented and tea/coffee facilities were good quality.

    No warning that there was a dog on the premises. Shower was cold because everyone used up hot water at same time in morning!

    Friendly, informal but with a high level attention to detail. Rooms were excellent and we are seriously considering a long weekend to explore the area. Would book again if visiting the area.

    The quiet location and relaxing atmosphere of the hotel. Also the warm and friendly welcome by the hosts. The breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice served by friendly staff.

    Delivered everything claimed in the web-site. Very satisfactory.

    Bathrooms don't have an automatic cut-out on the ventilation fans, which do 'drum' a bit and can be heard by neighbouring rooms, to the point of being bothersome if someone leaves their bathroom light on when they go out.

    "The staff were freindly and made us feel welcome, even though we arrived at midnight on friday night. Everything about the room was excellent, from the quality of the beds, to the linen and the TV. There was also a small fridge, which came in very handy. The breakfast in the morning was great too. Tea, Coffee Orange juice. Cereal and Toast. Then a full english breakfast cooked to order. It really set us up for the day." (3304679954)

    The room was spotlessly clean, and the decor was very tasteful and well thought out.

    My only minor gripe would be that there was no shower gel. Soap and shampoo was provided though.

    "Plus points 99% is the clean and impressive decor and tidiness Just as you would want it to be. Impressive views over the reservoir You can start walking straight from the front door after those busy days in the city. Complimented by the friendly welcoming staff. My only negatives was some noise from air extractor fans in neighbouring rooms could be heard whenever anyone used their bathrooms during the night. The credit card door entry cards did not let me in the front door on one occasion. The shower had an air lock in it on last morning of my departure." (3304539377)

    "Although the guest house was up quite a steep private road, the directions given were clear. Our room was exceptionally good and the rest of the facilities were of a high standard. The owner and her staff were very friendly and helpful. We were given the impression that nothing was too much trouble. We could not fault the breakfasts. Even the hotel dog (Toby) was a pleasure.     Rooms had been recently refurbished to a very high standard (our was an executive room.) The hotel was warm and welcoming with lovely views.
