    "It was a short but great stay-- the dog smell was a pretty big negative for us, but it still seemed like a good place to stay. We'd stay there again but try to request a room where there had been no pets. It is important to note that the room otherwise was completely clean." (107953426)

    A beautiful location-- very peaceful, great view. Friendly and welcoming staff upon arrival. The room was very spacious and the kitchenette was a nice bonus. The bed was comfortable.

    The only negative thing to say is that we got the feeling that pets were allowed in the hotel-- the room smelled quite strongly of dogs and there was some dog hair (not much but for non-dog owners too much). The smell seemed even to be in the bed which nevertheless looked and seemed otherwise very clean.

    nice friendly atmosphere in a secluded quiet environment

    rather expensive and breakfast should be included, not an extra, also expensive dining in the evening, we tended to eat out at night.

    Nice grounds with lovely view. Family room.

    Rooms a little pricey considering no food included. Breakfast and restaurant expensive.

    Excellent location if looking for somewhere quiet and with beautiful surroundings, great for walkers, very friendly and welcoming landlord and lady, Outdoor swimming pool surrounded by amazing countryside scenery.

    It was very clean and set in very picturesque surroundings.

    We had twin beds but this was due to the hotel being fully booked.

    we stayed in the milking parlour, all the necessaries were provided for, the bedrooms were very adequate, and the views fantastic.

    the only criticism would be the price of the sandwiches (on the day we arrived we asked for some bar food; 1 cheese sandwich and 1 egg sandwich, and a glass of coke each, charge £13). The £30 'changeover' charge which was added to the final bill we also thought was excessive.

    "All the staff were friendly and welcoming without being over the top. The hotel is in a lovely quiet location with views of the surrounding countryside. You can borrow Ben the labrador, if you want a walking companion and there is a small pony that children can also ride on. There is an outside heated pool and towels can be borrowed from the hotel. The breakfast seems a little expensive, but the choice is varied and it's all very tasty! I would definitely go back to this hotel and would recommend it." (99206272)

    Standard of accommodation but this was not necessary the same level throughout.

    Check out too early at 10.00am (however the hotel were flexible when asked and this was extended to 11.00 am.

    "I found the website for this Hotel to be very informative. The accomodation was superb and the views spectacular. The staff made you feel really welcome & were extremely helpful. The Hotel is set back from the main road down a private track, there are no street lights so I would recommend you use your own Transport or one of the many local taxi services (which are very good) should you want to explore the area at night. I would definately come back again & recommend this Hotel to my family & friends." (99094503)

    Accomodation was set in beautiful surroundings. It was well maintained & felt very welcoming.

    "You very kindly provided an evening meal for my husband when all restaurants seemed to be booked up. There was no mention of the hotel restaurant being closed, either on-line or in the room, nor was the price of the breakfast to be found. It was a very good breakfast, with a very good choice of healthy foods, all of which cost more than supermarket alternatives. But the bill was a bit of a shock - 4 breakfasts do add quite alot onto the bill." (3305229788)

    Lovely grounds with awonderful view and a nice friendly feel in the hotel

    There was some banging during our first evening that made us worry that our tv was disturbing others, even though it was so low that we had to strain to hear the dialogue.

    Everything was where we needed it to be. The accomodation was clean and well-presented. The views were fantastic and the pool outside the window was an added bonus. The staff were more than accomodating and always on hand to help out with any needs. Wonderful experience.

    clean,comfortable,size of rooms,adequate cooking utensils,cooking areas.

    Smoke alarm directly above cooker so every time cooker door opened alarm activated. (but at least it worked and our safety wasn't compromised)

We also found information contained in a folder in the room extremely helpful, places to visit, recommended restaurants, and after my husband and myself had enjoyed some alcoholic beverages a list of local taxis came in very useful.     Excellent accommodation, would recommend to anyone, the room was lovely and bright with spectacular views of the countryside.
