    "Overall, an excellent hotel with great facilities and located along the main access route into the city." (108403516)

    Excellent rooms, large, clean and comfortable. Fantastic facilities, gym, swimming pool, spa and restuarants.

    Internet access was costly (£15 per 24 hours) and no Wi-Fi.

    "The Hotel was nice, what you@d expect of a Hotel of it's reputation. The prices they charge for food and drinks are ridiculous. We ate in their mock Chinese Restaurant. The choice was limited, the quality if the food was no better than a supermarket takeaway, yet the price was 20 times that. The bar staff served what they thought you wanted. I ordered a bottle of beer and they arrived with a pint at more than double the price." (108784374)

    Good location for visiting the city centre - i.e., it is by the bus stop. Good location for the airport - hotel on the same side of Edinburgh as the airport. Good rate for overnight stop with prepaid booking. Breakfast was not included in the price so money was not wasted on a breakfast not needed.

    Typical decor for a large chain hotel.

    Very pleasant & helpful staff. Room was functionally comfortable. Excellent training suite, plus decent swimming pool/jacuzzi & sauna. Conveniently located for easy bus travel to city centre, and immediately adjacent to a very good zoo.

    Inflexible catering arrangements - couldn't just order a snack for the children without either paying the going rate for the child's buffet, or committing to a full paying adult whereby children feed for free.(Just a small point, but we had eaten out and only required a sandwich for our daughter).Bar prices are verging on the ridiculous!!!

    We planned to stay one night but our flight was cancelled so we decided to stay another night instead of looking elsewhere as we were happy with the happy. All aspects were very good, especially the service.

    Our only negative was the breakfast. The host (possibly the restaurant manager was quite rude) and as we came down within the last half an hour of b/f being served there was little left. The second morning we came down earlier, the b/f was a lot better.

    "Dissapointed that i did not get the room I has booked, the additional space i required from the family room was not there. The wrong room service order and slow service was disappointing. I doubt i will use this hotel again!!!" (107763310)

    Friendly staff

    The room i was given was a twin room, although I had paid for a family room. I complained and was moved to a double room, still not the family room i had paid for. I was with my 18month old daughter, she was becoming distressed by the changes, so decided not to complain again. I order room service and the wrong order came after a long wait, again my daughter was very hungry and I simply had to accept what came. I found the cost of the breakfast very expensive, almost £14 for a bowl of special K and a some fruit for my daughter - not impressed.

    Very noisy couple in inter connecting room, attended to by reception and subsequently changed room next day. Reception extremely helpful and efficient.

    clean room,good room service,friendly accomadating staff at all levels excellent food, good dining areas, no queing for breakfast towels changed daily,easy access to bus service.

    high cost of drinks,ambiguos prices on menu,although breakfast prices were reduced on the week end it was restored to the normal excessive price on bank monday although the breakfasts wre excellent.

    "The hotel was easy to find with adequate parking { important when in major city } the staff were helpfull and friendly , room was good and fulfilled all our requirements . We used pool which was good and staff there were excellent . The Sampan was child friendly with good food and excellent service .     "This is a good class of hotel and we enjoyed our stay. We had the special Spring break price and wouldn't have paid the standard rate. Instructions on how to work the shower would have been appreciated. Biscuits with the tea tray would have been nice!" (97402891)

    hotel was clean and well maintained. Breakfast excellent. Carvery good. Cafe good but a little expensive.

    We couldn't figure out how to work the shower!

    THE GOOD PARKIN FACILITIES THE SIZE OF THE ROOM AND QAULITY OF ROOM THE FOOD AT THE BAR WAS EXCELLENT AND THE BAR STAFF WERE TO BE COMMENDED ALSO THE BREAKFAST WAS EXCELLENT I WOULD USE THIS HOTEL WHEN EVER I AM IN EDINBURGH FROM NOW ON.

    Proximity to Edinburgh Zoo and not far from the city centre. Great Breakfasts in the morning.

    Our only complaint was the Air conditioning in our family room was rubbish, it did not work properly. The temperature in our room was 81 and above for most of the night evn with the fan on constantly set to cool to 45.

    "I booked this hotel for my sister and boyfriend as the hotel has a good name worldwide and they were not dissappointed. The people working at the hotel were very friendly and helpfull. The accommodation was excellent and the facilities were first class.This hotel is located just outside the city but there is a bus stop just outside hotel if you want to get too the city centre or you can direct dial a taxie from your room.I would recommend this hotel too all viewing this review."
