    "was a really clean hotel, Our double bedroom was huge! I really enjoyed staying at this hotel, definetly be back" (107825112)

    was a really good hotel, would definetly be back to this hotel if i`m back in Edinburgh. staff brilliant, the hotel was pretty busy, overall I say excellent

    the one night we stayed the bar was really busy and there was only one member of staff working the Bar and reception was really run off his feet! but no complaints, he did his best

    very clean, looked quiey newly decorated. Great location

    Smell of someone smoking in the morning, either coming from outside or another room. Being on in one of the basement rooms, meant it was quite a dark room.

    "went dow for a gig at murrayfield so wast in the room for long but it was adequate for what we wanted and it had a bar which was good " (107892861)

    Nice and central easy access to everything

    hairdryer worked for about 30 secs and then cut out and was all melted, the shower was an experience went boiling hot and then freezing cold, had to run round it was a laugh tho

    was in a good area close to the train station and the rugby stadium.

    the bad bits was the loo didnt flush (it did get sorted)also there was quit a few plugs didnt work in our room. nothing to do with the hotel but there was nt any decent take aways unless you liked chinese. the breckfast was a little basic.

    Was available "last minute". Sited fairly near to places of visit. Room spacious and clean. Continental breakfast was good.

    En suite facilities very basic - no shampoo etc provided. Went for breakfast 20 minutes before it "closed" so was irritated that staff (whilst friendly) were hurrying us before we'd even started. Had to park about a mile away as local options were limited and taken.

    "la lamentela è sul servizio approssimato e la pulizia scadente. la la presentazione dell'hotel su internet è efficace. forse promette più di quanto non dia." (97428886)

    la posizione abbastanza centrale, gli asciugamani cambiati regolarmente e puliti, sufficentemente buona e abbondante la colazione

    rubinetto rotto, 2 coperte piccole invece di 1 grande in letto matrimoniale, non ricambi regolari di tazze bicchieri e cucchiaini e rifornimenti inadeguate di te e zucchero. mancanza di lampada sul comodino, rotture di impianto elettrico e tentativo di attribuire la colpa della rottura agli ospiti

    "On arriving at the hotel it looked fine we arrived early so we were told to leave our bags and we could check in after 2pm they said our bags would be put in our room but when we arrived back 8 hours later our bags were still in the same place for everyone to see. e also had to change rooms due to a number of problems no shower working, no telephone, broken lampshade and no bulb, and a curtain rail that was hanging off the wall."     Very clean and comfortable

    Breakfast service was fair, although certain items they ran out of, before the end of service. Also the language barrier was sometimes a problem with the foreign waitresses, I dont think we were understood sometimes.

    It was clean and tidy and situated near the center

    We had some problems with the watersupply to our toilett and shower.

    "My room was downstairs and there was no offer of assistance to take the bag down and the people staying were prodominately elderly. Also when I went for breakfast I waited to be seated as asked but was then seated at a table that was filthy, 2 people had already eaten at it and when my toast was bought he just placed it in the the only space left and didn't clear the table. No explanation as to how breakfast was done, I'm afraid that was very poor." (99306535)

    The accomadation was clean and the staff were helpful and polite, in some of the positions.

    really couldn't complain about the accomadation.

    "My daughter and I stayed here for three nights while seeing the Edinburgh sights. We reserved a twin, but they put us in a spacious family room on the main floor. Furnishings were clean but not at all new. We found it beautiful, but it is NOT a modern sterile chain hotel, if that's what you like. Staff was friendly and responsive. Breakfast was good. Easy walking distance to Haymarket train station, which is about a 5 minute train ride to the downtown Waverley station. We had rail passes, so this was no big deal (otherwise cab fare to downtown is about 5 pounds.) The neighborhood was OK in the daylight, but seemed a little sketchy at night." (99697565)

    Beautiful large room with high ceilings and chandelier.

    Could have been closer to tourist attractions.

    "Room was in the basement with a window that opened to a noisy street. People that were passing by could wake you. I had ear plugs and that solved my problem." (3305068571)

    Was not in the best of areas of town, a little off the beaten track and not in a good way.

    Beautiful little hotel, clean, good location, quiet area

    the shower's sliding door was broken, you had to go down a steep flight of stairs to get to my room with no elevator or help with the luggage

    It was fairly central.

    Parking was terrible. Breakfast was an array of cheap looking meats. The staff struggled to understand English. Dog hairs on carpet not acceptable.

    Big rooms, very traditional decor, helpful and friendly staff

    The shower was broken. There we items under the bed (shoe, box of playing cards)left be previous occupants.

    "For this price I expected something more. The room was drab and the lights barely bright enough to read by. The room had no towels in it on the first night although they did put this right the next day (but not before I was already wet and looking for a towel!) Breakfast uninspiring and looked a bit dried out around the edges. The common areas of the hotel are nice and it's a quiet location so it's not all bad but next time I am in Edinburgh I wont be staying here." (3304468065)
