Staff were so friendly and helpful - breakfast available at 4am before our flight, and driver ran us to airport just when we needed to go.

Everything was excellent we have stayed in some 3 and 4 star hotels that have not provided the standard we received at this hotel Great helpful staff and breakfast enough of a good choice for continental and plenty of it thank you

Staff excellent - friendly and helpful. Design of hotel superb and rooms well equipped and clean
Only bad points - 1) we found it very difficult to flush the toilet in our bedroom - the buttons were very stiff and 2) although the design of the door which serves both the toilet and bedroom was ingenious my wife trapped her fingers when opening the door from inside the bathroom - think this is very easily done.

Room, not too smelly even though it was a smoking room. Great shower.
I had specified a non-smoking room, the checkin clerk said that because the booking was through a third party that had not been communicated. Obviously it was not satisfactory that he was not taking ownership of the issue. Although he was polite, the information he gave me was extremely limited and he was a little scruffy.

The shuttle bus to the airport was excellent, all you had to do was choose a time slot to suit your flight. This hotel is very close to the airport which was great.

I booked a twin room for myself and my sister. We are both very asthmatic and requested a non smoking room, this request was shown on our reservation. When we arrived we were allocated a smoking room. The lady who checked us in did not tell us it was a smoking room we were left to find out when we got out of the lift and the corridor was full of a thick smog of smoke. We complained but were told there was not one empty room left in the hotel. We had a awful night night of asthma attacks, running noses, coughing and feeling sick. After this experience I would not stay in a Holiday Inn Express again.

The leaflet in the room was printed that when asking if it was needed in larger print it was in small print. If you have trouble seeing then you can't see that! Printed literature should have correct contrast to make it readable.

"On the whole good, the hotel was full and the staff coped well considering, the above problem with the wrong romm was quickly sorted with good humour but the hotel seemed short staffed, maybe thats why breakfast so much a good experience." (107127187)
Friendly staff, clean room.
Given double bed instead of twin, was changed eventually, breakfast shortage of cutlery, plates, glasses, area not cleaned up.

Rooms were excellent. Transport from Hotel was good. Staff were excellent.
No food provided over the weekend. big draw back. Room was not clean on saturday. Price for sat as across Cardfiff was expenses- more then 6 times the normal rate.

Nice clean hotel with shuttle bus to the train station.
The room key kept failing; all breakfast items were cleared away before we barely had a chance to get something - would it not be possible to allow guests to still pick items from the buffet after 10am?

Good size rooms, friendly staff, clean and functional
Food was terrible, little choice of menu, some of menu not available. Expensive, badly cooked and presented, would certainly not recommend anyone eating there.

"Liz & Alan made us relly welcome, we also had breakfast at the Hotel accrss the road, which was nice. The hotel is beautifully done. Hopefully we will stay again next year.all in all I would recommend No 62 for your stay in cardiff. The hotel also caters for children" (97632673)
This is the best bed and breakfast that i have stayed in since visiting cardiff for the last 8 years. The room was lovely, nice big shower, spare toothpaste & brush in case you forgot yours also other bits and pieces to make it a bit special. We had the king room and the bed was really comfortable ,The location was idea for the stadium and shops only 10 mins walk. Also the room had a large tv, dvd also an information pack on the local area which was helpful

Despite paying the top rate for our room, we were given a smoking room (which we did not request). The room smelt strongly of smoke and this was especially true of the bed, sofabed and soft furnishings.
