    people in the restaurant were very polite

    the staff: brutal, no effort being made when complaining about the things that went or were wrong

    Very clean. Good location. Friendly staff. Breakfast, excellent.

    Typical hotel, at times noise from other guests at night was a nuisance.

    "Generally the hotel was very nice and the breakfasts were excellent. The only thing we found annoying was the fact that in the hotel leaflet it states that there is a free shuttle bus to St Helier. On arrival at the hotel we found this service was no longer provided. We quite often found the reception area was not covered. The surrounding area was lovely and the nearby village of Gorey was beautiful with a pretty harbour and some good restaurants. I would definitely recommend a car for getting around." (99748554)

    It was a fairly spacious room.

    The bathroom, although adequate was in need of refurbishment. We were on the top floor and there were no lifts. Pretty tiring carrying cases if you are unable to get a porter to help.

    The staff in the dinning room where very friendly and couldn't do enough to help. Very efficient. The room was fantastic much better than we had imagined. The area was nice and quiet in a lovely countryside setting.

    There was no water in the swimming pool and so our daughter couldn't go swimming.

    The hotel was one of the most friendly, customer focussed hotels we have stayed in. Its overall feeling was one of comfort and a keenness to make our stay relaxing and enjoyable. Excellent pool and good facilites for children - but the mix of guests both families, couples and older peiople made it a real home from home.

    The pool/snooker table in the games room was great for the kids but as a result cost me a fortune!!
