  "We have stayed at this hotel many times for long weekends at we have family near by. We always get reasonable rates on the internet. Also the location is excellent as we fly into Manchester, then visit Chester and Liverpool. Unfortunately we never have time to visit the gym or pool. Tend not to eat in the restaurant as I think it is a little expensive for the quality. As I travel alone with my 14yr daughter we always feel safe and secure which is very important to us. All the staff were friendly and very helpful including housekeeping, reception and bar." (107489587)

  Staff (reception & bar) were very friendly and helpful. All the housekeeping staff said "good morning" everyday.

  received newspaper outside room 1st morning, nothing next morning, then paper was at reception the following day. I was informed papers are always collected from reception even thought it had been delivered the first day!

  "enjoyable, apart from the checking in process" (108409538)

  Plesant and very good hotel

  took over one hour to check in unable to find our booking, we were just leaving when they found it, would not possibly book this way again

  hotel was easy to get to clean and friendly

  rooms need to be bigger for families and could do with upgrading also thought breakfast was overpriced

  "Parking is great. Not easy to get out of hotel. make sure you get code for barrier. Also signposts to get back onto motorway were limited and the way you enter hotel is on a one way road. we just gat out with luck. The pool and spa were good. They also have a sauna single sex ones and a steam room for male and females to share. Gym was small. Rooms were small but had everything you needed. Pub was well stocked with every drink you would expect. breakfast was lovely. Highly recommended. Overall a good hotel. we went to Knowsley safari after. but also close to Chester zoo." (3305146813)

  The leisure facilities were excellent. Breakfast was good. Lots of choice. We also liked the pub.

  Room was cold. we had bad weather for end of august and could not get heating on.

  "The hotel was clean, tidy and efficient, I would have preffered to have known the breakfast serving times prior to arrival, I would not have booked this hotel knowing that breakfast was unavailable prior to 7.30am, it is the first hotel I have ever stayed in to start so late. The kettle in my room was poorly maintained as you had to hold the button down to make it boil. The decor was not the best in the bathroom, seemed a little dated in places, as if they gave up renovating it half way through and just painted over the old tiles!. On the positive side I got a no smoking room as requested, it was amazingly quiet and restful, the room had air conditioning that was also quiet and worked correctly, the tv was informative and felt personalised. Overall this would be better for people not on business who have the time to wait for breakfast. To balance this annoyance the hotel did provide a packed lunch/continental breakfast. Beware also they charge you " (3304866957)

  Ease of check-in, quietness of room, adequate facilities.

  Not being informed that I was required to swipe my credit card prior to charging services to my bill, kettle not working correctly, being unaware that breakfast was not served until 7.30am when I departed at 7am despite paying for the facility (The hotel did put me together a 'continental breakfast'), not obvious that the rooms internet access was chargeable.
