    I booked two rooms on the internet and got the confirmation, only to find that the internet allows you to book rooms even if the hotel is full.

    This is a very friendly pleasant hotel, the staff were most helpful and the general standard of hygiene was excellent. Our room was very nice, the bathroom perhaps a little small but perfectly adequate for our needs and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent, one of the best I've ever had away from home!

    There really aren't any bad points I can make. The hotel is undergoing renovations so we obviously didn't see it at its best, however even so I'm sure that when it's finished it'll look very nice.

    The welcome and service offered by the manager was outstanding - very helpful and welcoming. The breakfast (full English) was excellent. The bed was comfortable

    The rooms are "tired"- decor and bathroom fixtures need to refreshed. I do not expect the kettle to not work if the television is turned on!! For the overall quality of the stay, GBP98.00 per night was expensive.

    beds old and dilapidated, one single squeeked at slightest movement, room floor sloped drastically to one corner so head lower than feet, weird!! ceiling looked liable to fall in!!! leak outside in corridor from ceiling, curtains to window dirty, ours was ground floor family room on right side in photograph.

    Very good sized room for family of 4 with older children. Plenty of storage space.

    Breakfast was great, staff friendly and efficient.

    Tiny room you could barely get out of bed either side, electric in room was not working due to some form of re wiring, could not see to get ready. Television did not tune in, could not get in and out of bed without climbing over it. No glasses for water in room

    "The location was perfect for us! We come to London often to visit family and would def stay at Frithwood House again. I wished I would have found it years ago. Ricky was excellent. He helped us out sorting out another room for us and with our flight info. Thanks Ricky!" (97250083)

    The bathrooms were some of the cleanest in the UK. And we've stayed in alot of hotels in London.

    The lights could have worked! I know you were doing renos and these things happen! Ricky was great about changing our room.

    "The accommodation was in a good location and easy enough to find. The hotel itself was very quiet, I think we were the only guests as our stay was just before Christmas. Breakfast was well prepared and ample servings. Our rooms were very cold and the heating did not appear to be working. Our curtains did not close fully and the shower room was tiny. I thought the room was over priced for what you got - not good value for money" (97938205)

    very, very cold room. Even with 2 duvets and a blanket it was still cold. This could be because the window pane was smashed and the curtains didnt close!! The en suite was TINY and the furniture quite dated

    "A very large room for just two people. Facilities in the room were more than adequate. En suite bathroom was very clean and lots of hot, running water! Would like to say again that the staff were so accommodating to us when we arrived very late. One of the nicest breakfasts we have ever enjoyed away from home and served to us in a very friendly way.     We were most impressed with the staff at the hotel - very friendly and most helpful. We arrived very late and they were very accommodating. One of the best breakfasts we have ever enjoyed away from home.

    Can't complain really - we spent a very short time in our room due to travel delays.

    "On arrival i had to use the phone number to contact staff inside to gain access and find the parking area, we did arrive quite late though, but had no special instructions given to us in this event.However our stay was made pleasurable by the friendliness of the owner and 1 staff member in particular .The en suite though cramped was clean and adequate and breakfast was very good."     The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Access to public transport quite good.

    "This guest house is run by a young man who fits it in with a day job, so this accomodation lacks a homely atmosphere. On the morning of our stay I found breakfast was unavailable at the advertised time of 7.00am in fact the person cooking breakfast did not arrive till 7.50am (Breakfast finished at 8.00am) Eventually received a cooked breakfast, which was adequate. This Guest House lacks organisation and hospitality." (99196700)

    Ground floor room was given as requested. The room was of a good size. Only four guests staying at the time, so guest house was quiet.

    Accomodation was old fashioned, beds very hard, curtains dirty and unironed. Overall a shabby appearance.

    The attic room was slightly awkward as my husband is quite tall and found it uncomfortable to walk permanently in a bent position in the bathroom.
