    Room was clean and tidy and all facilities were in working order.

    The food was TERRIBLE. I made a complaint about this at check-out and specifically requested a phone call from a manager that evening. I left my mobile number to that effect and, as of yet, have not been contacted. I will be making a separate complaint to this end to reclaim the cost of the food. The receptionist was foreign and spoke little English. She was ill-informed about the local area and sent me in completely the wrong direction when leaving the hotel, due, I believe, to a lack of English. With reference to my complaint, she told me that I should have complained about the food last night, but as half of my complaint related to the breakfast, this was not applicable.

    large car park

    poorly lit car park, staff not very helpful, booked two rooms; one the coffee machine did not work, second room teh hot shower did not work! and with a family when we arrived late at night with the children desperate to sleep we were greeted with a thundering disco at teh hotel!!! little or no sleep through the night... be careful families this hotel doubles up as a disco!! i am considering suing the hotel! no regard for paying guests sleep

    Room was clean and big, food was very good price in hotel (although i did not have breakfast as this seemed pricey). Hotel had nice friendly feel and modern decor

    Stayed Sat and Sun night and the music from the function rooms was so loud that the room was shaking! Luckily we were so exhausted from walking round London that we slep through it anyway so i ahve no idea what time it went on until.

    Modern decor in room & bar, reception.

    A private party was held in the function room and at 11pm when we went to bed it was so loud my pillow vibrated. I complained to reception - they said they had asked for it be turned down and it would end at 12.30. We suffered staying awake until it ended at 12.30 and then the guests took an hour to leave very noisily revving engines and shouting. At 1.35am I phoned reception again and asked them to tell the people to shut up. Then for the next hour & 15 mins the DJ packed up the van below my window trundling equipt very noisily and banging around. I have never stayed anywhere so noisy in all my life and I am making a complaint to the manager. I asked for my money back the next day but deputy manager could only offer £20 refund on my £70. I declined as I want all my money back. I recommend you remove this hotel from your list. I will never ever stay there again. they can not ask people not attending the functions there to stay in rooms where you can here the function - or they don't allow such noisy events. it was utterly the worst night of my life

    The bed was very comfortable! Every single one of the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was lovely.

    Staff tried to be helpful.

    On arrival at 9pm, after a 5 hour drive and feeling pretty tired, the person on reception apologetically told me there was a disco on that night (Friday) - he tried to put us in a quieter room - but the noise thudding through the floor went on until 1 am in the morning. Having just dropped off to sleep we were woken up again at 2.15 am by a man hammering on the rear doors outside the hotel to be let in and then running down our corridor loudly knocking on a door and yelling at someone. The hotel was clearly in a very run down state with dirty stained carpets, poorly decorated and torn chairs in the public areas. In our room, the bath needed regrouting - black algae growing round the taps - the TV wasn't plugged up - we had to do that - and the remote didn't work and sheets had been patched. Breakfast was abysmal - we opted for the Continental breakfast - a small croissant arrived with 2 slices of square shaped processed ham and plastic wrapped cheese which tasted so awful we didn't eat it. You had to make your own tea from a dirty table area - and the cups had clearly been put out the night before as the crockery wreaked of cigarette smoke.

    There were none.

    No hot food after 10.00pm. Room was too hot, towel rail in bathroom on permanently, noise from people leaving private function kept us awake until early hours, non smoking room reeked of smoke.

    Location superb, a very nice hotel with friendly staff

    Came back just after midnight to find the bar shut so we couldn't havea nightcap. Thought the Breakfast was a bit pricey and could have done with a bed and breakfast inclusive option

    Very clean hotel with friendly efficient staff

    Three of the lamps in the room weren't working and I had to ask for extra pillows as only two on the bed. Bathroom was adequate but have seen better.

    Comfortable, clean, inexpensive ('cheap' gives the the wrong impression) easy to find, close to where I was working - a real find!

    Continental Breakfast: For the money I would have expected a wider choice of cereals, including something like museli, and maybe better bread, too. I know sliced is very handy, and I've no problem with this, but thick sliced would be nicer. You say on your vouchers that breakfast is 'The Best Meal of the Day' - I agree, but your continental breakfast doesn't quite live up to the billing you give it - Premier Inns for example do it better, and cheaper.

    Close to the bakery i was working in

    Smoking was allowed in certain parts of the hotel, although they had signs outside stating no smoking in the building, the breakfast and all food was disgusting, when you complain they say we no understand or just ignore you

    Excellent Restaurant, backed up by attentive service

    Broken/missing fitments in the room needed attention: i.e. a curtain rail needed fixing; the toilet roll holder was missing it's roller and the 'privacy' handle inside the en-suite facilities was inoperable.

    Good full english breakfast and helpful waiting staff.

    Room smelt of cigarettes when i arrived and bed was extremely old with visable dirty marks on the head board. The TV had only 4 channels however only BBC and ITV were watchable due to poor signal.

    "for an overnight stay during a travle period, it would suffice but for more than one night, I would be dissappointed. the breakfast was good. " (107801358)

    staff were very helpful on all accounts, the bar staff and breakfast staff also were very helpful, nothing was a problem. the breakfast was good

    the booking made over the internet, the hotel had no record of it, therefore the whole booking procedure had to be repeated, even after I offered the booking reference. the room was satisfactory, but the bathroom was a letdown, broken tiling behind the toilet, the toilet needed attention, the bath/shower needed retiling, the bedsheets on the bed were not fitted correctly, the matress cover was open to display.

    "Value for what I paid but more attention to the general area's would help give a better / more positive outlook on the whole hotel, tables in the bar were not cleaned properly and attention to clean cups / plates wasn't great, I left a table for 1.5 hours and on returning to the bar my original table still had my cups / plates on it..... but I'm sure this will be sorted out soon if the positive attitude of the staff is anything to go by" (107299511)

    Friendly team performing well in a relaxing environment

    The room was too hot and thge shower wan't too co-operative! Turned the radiotor off and showered quickly before broiling!

    Excellent staff and public areas which have been re-furbished. We asked for a room in the quiet part of the hotel and were given one. Unfortunately, it was a smoking one but this was immediately and cheerfully rectified.

    The bedrooms need doing up next. The bedcovers and some of the bathroom fitments are a bit tatty. And a new heavy duty toaster is needed at breakfast - it only did 2 slices at a time instead of the 4 there was room for
