    "I've stayed here on two previous occasions,most recent stay it was very notable that this hotel has gone down hill.It needs a general overhaul!double beds are actually three quarter." (108462444)

    Staff were very friendly/helpful/approachable. Cooked breakfast excellent. Dining room very good. Main hotel looked lovely, clean, welcoming. Excellent parking. Some lovely features ie windows, within the main hotel.

    Stayed in Annexe but this could do with refurbishing. Very noisy room as it was near the back door. Location from tram station was a good 10 mins brisk walk.

    Everywhere, inckuding gardens, scruffy and tited. Several dog "leavings" on lawn. Restaurant not available on arrival, as large party booked in. Receptionist suggested chinese takeaway down road!

    "My wife and I stayed for 3 nights. The double room was clean, with fresh towels every day. The room, its self, was not as big as some I have stayed in, but was ok for our short stay. The gardens are nice with plenty of seating if you just want to catch the last rays of the sun at the end of the day, with a drink from the bar. The bar is well stocked and reasonably priced. Breakfast is good and sets you up for the day. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel has a number of rooms at ground level." (108948100)

    Clean rooms, nice gardens, good food

    The pillows are very soft and I required an extra one, which was provided with no problems.

    The staff were very friendly and helpful.

    Buffet breakfast was good and table service with fresh tea/coffee and (most importantly) hot toast was great. Too many places serve cold toast! Staff were really pleasant and we were made to feel very welcome

    While this wasn't the best hotel we've ever stayed at everything that wan't good was perfectly adequate and better than I'd have expected given the rates

    Food was good and Staff pleasant and helpful.

    Though bathroom facilities were obviously only recently installed and in very good and clean condition, there was no provision for stowing things - like shelves or hooks. The beds were not that comfortable.

    1) Check in was poor as the hotel staff got the arrival date wrong (despite the correct dates being on the booking form). This caused confusion and stress at the start of the stay. 2) Having no car, the hotel location is a residential area limited opportunity for getting a newspaper and other shopping

    "The people who we met were very friendly and so helpful. They were very willing to sort any problems out. It was fine for an overnight stay and very good value for money. " (107646146)

    the staff were very friendly and welcoming. the food was very good and well priced. We were put in a suite which was quite a good sized room.

    The decor was very tired and the whole place could do with a lick of paint. Guests were very noisy when leaving the bar or restaurant late at night. There were no signs to advise people to keep the noise levels down when leaving.

    convoluted access to room up and down stairs and around corners. Not suitable for wheelchairs, shower door hit toilet seat when opening, light not working above sink, toilet roll holder is in left armpit when seated.

    Good check-in service, bags taken to room on arrival. Staff helpful & friendly.

    Noisy Guests in room next door, slamming, banging, screaming and swearing EXTREMELY UNACCEPTABLE staff were not very helpful.. Could not believe that the premises is unmanned from 12.00am - 6.00am (surely this is ILLEGAL). We received No sleep on the second night and as a result missed breakfast the next morning. Although we were refunded the breakfast money i feel that was not enough.

    Breakfast was fine and well organised and well served on Saturday, but sunday was chaos and dis-organised.

    Room and bathroom need updating in the extension, building smelt very strong, a lot of black and mould in bathroom. Room was very noisy on Sunday morning. Car park was full on Saturday evening had to leave car at friends locally.

    Staff are very friendly and polite. Quiet for a good rest and away from the city.

    TV reception is very bad. I asked for twin beds because I was staying with my son who was going to the University of Manchester but the beds are too short and narrow. My son is 5 feet 11 inches so the bed was too short for his comfort. There was not enough staff to man the hotel so sometimes we couldn't find any staff at the reception when we required assistance even though we rang service bell for a long time - the poor lady was working in some other section of the hotel.

    Friendly staff. Very good breakfast - nicely cooked and generous helpings.

    I was in the annex - Fire doors that were very hard to open, no instructions for shower use, lots of chipped paint. No way to say I did not need fresh towels. Advertised as free wireless connection - but very poor quality - kept dropping out.

    Had to ask for a second towel, same as we had to on a previous visit to the hotel.
