    Leuk gelegen hotel met uiterst vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel.

    Kleine kamer met diverse kleinere gebreken (lamp defect, handdoekenstang defect)

    "After a dissapointing start with the room, we went on to have a really nice weekend. Blockley is a typical Cotswold village, well situated for some of the best Cotswold villages and towns, Broadway, slaughters Chippings etc. Had we been shown to our room on arrival, we could have refused right away, and had we been shown to our replacement room,we wouldnt have had to go back to reception to tell them about the beds that were stord there, still all little problems were quickly resolved by the cheerful and friendly management team" (108541216)

    excellent response when we had to complain about a smell in the room.The room was changed with no fuss from the management team. The restraunt food and service, was extremeley good for dinner and breakfast

    "The hotel is situated in a lovely location, in a beautiful village. The pub/hotel was well looked after and had friendly reception staff. The heating in the room for some reason was not working. The receptionist was surprised about this, but checked our room while we were out for our evening meal and put a portable heater in our room. Not sure why it was not working, but that was a sufficent response. " (108910024)

    We were greeted by a big fire in the lobby, which was wonderful.

    My main compliant would be the restaurant. While the food was pleasent, I do not think a single course was worth the price of £19 each. We went for a £22 bottle of Sexy wine, which was expensive but fantastic. I found our waiter to be only half friendly and really gave the impression he did not want to be there. There was no vegetarian choice apart from one dish. For the breakfast the idea of no meat English breakfast was simply to take out the meat! To be fair to the reception staff they said they would change this, which seemed genuine.

    "Overall stay very enjoyable,in a lovelly village, with friendly people.would advise after booking through the internet-to phone hotel and state you have a pet coming with you-so as to give you outside chalet accomodation,which is ideal for your pets needs and doe`s not upset other guest`s.     Plus points, All what was advertised by the hotel on the internet, very dog friendly,recommended to all dog owners.

    Construction work going on at the main car park for additional chalet type accomodation, and not ample parking space`s to cater for the amount of hotel rooms there are.and with the additional rooms being built will make parking space`s a bigger issue.

    Restaurant was superb, service etc, size of accommodation given

    Too hot in room we were given and couldn't open window to get through air. Room layout very good apart from this. Cost of the drinks at the bar.

    Excellent value for money with more facilities than we expected, ie a sitting room as well as bedroom. Quiet location, discreet service and attention to detail in the decor.

    Breakfast menu item, available only on Saturdays and Sundays, was not available on this particular Saturday. Shower temperature very tricky to control.

    food good ,Good central place to stay if you wish to visit the Cotswolds . we had the highest room in the hotel which had two levels living room and bathroom on one floor bedroom on another we liked it but if you have mobility problems this is not the room for you as the stairs are narrow.

    had to carry our heavy case up the narrow stairs.

    Hotel was well kept. Staff friendly. Blockley is an very quaint and tidy village.

    On first night there was only one bartender who was doubling as waiter for food orders (for which there were quite a few) therefore service was slow in both areas. I opted for a burger and chips, the burger being advertised as being in a sourdough bun. The quality and quantity of the food was good but the bun was a run of the mill bread bun. It was unnecessary to claim it to be sourdough and then a little disappointing when it was - hardly the end of the world, though.

    A quaint establishment with much character in a very nice Cotswold village Food was excellent and room generally was very comfortable. The staff we experienced were very courteous and attentive.

    The reception area was very untidy to the extent there was alot of papers lying around. The individual in attendance (we think the owner)did not give a very good impression and we were of the opinion he was operatinhg the hotel with a minimum of staff. Couple of minor points were reported with regard to our room without action. There were areas in need of maintenance that indicated the management were struggling to cope with the business

    Waiting staff were very helpful and nice.

    The bed was not long enough and I am only 5ft 7 and my fiance is taller than me but we did not see any other rooms so that could have only been that room.

    The location was very good, nice village, the bar and dining room were very nice.

    Our bedroom needs a facelift, cracked walls, peeling windowsills, holes in the nets, it was just a bit tired.

    Overall. Very friendly staff. Room was excellent. Food was good quality.

    Service in the restaurant was quite slow. felt the hotel was understaffed for the number of people dining at the time.

    Lovely creaky old hotel full of character in beautiful quiet village. Food and staff excellent.

    Bed not very comfortable, woke with aching back so very slightly spoilt stay.
