  Lovely, quiet situation. Very convenient for both Bath and Bristol. Enjoyable dinner, dining room full of character.

  Poor check in process - a mistake had been made over room, so my sister and I had to wait nearly an hour whilst another room was readied. We were given drinks in the lounge whilst we waited. Though there was hot water in the room, the radiator was not working , and after a complaint, we were given an electric convector heater for our stay. On the Saturady night, because of a party in the main house, we had to walk all round the building in the wind and rain to access the dining room.

  "Once we had moved to the twin club room we enjoyed everything about the stay. The restaurant for breakfast is very imposing and the breakfasts were very good." (108893860)

  Very peaceful and quiet, well placed for the park and ride into Bath, twin club rooms are excellent

  The double club room we were offered first was small, had no bath and only a tiny window.

  Very good hotel, Staff were polite and helpful at all times Ate at the restuarant on the saturday night, the food was exellent we are intending to return

  "very clean and exellently decorated also very warm and comfortable" (107317350)

  Staff very friendly and professional

  shower hung down and rubber seal round door u/s reported on first night but nothing done, food was to fancy and spicy for my palate which is a personal thing

  "This was a business trip with an extended night to visit Bath.....the whole experience was excelent this is a hotel that I would highly recommend the attention that the staff (all staff) give is excellent as is everything else about the hotel....." (107924902)

  Excellent hotel....staff were excellent...food was excellent.....accommodation was excellent....This hotel would please even the most difficult person......I would recommend it to anyone....

  "Wouldn't stay again and wouldn't recommend it unless you want to play golf or get married. " (107193979)

  Lovely surroundings and beautiful house.

  Rooms were chic but cobwebs required dusting!. The gap between the walls and window frames require filling to reduce carbon footprint. Service was extremely slow and the food sounded inspiring but didn't live up to anything special. There was a lack of facilities for the guests, only the Club house for a drink.

  Unique, comfortable bed

  Cold at first. Wern't shown to room, so didn't had to call to get heaters working. Didn't find hostess tray until we departed. Given wrong info re breakfast times so we almost missed it and it was cold

  "It is a hotel mainly aimed for golfers and that should be specified in the booking. I would have liked to have a shuttle service from the railway station to the hotel." (97998326)

  "The hotel accommodation was lovely - very well presented, good size rooms and all set around a pretty courtyard. The staff were very accommodating and were very helpful when booking the restaurant and preparing the facilities for our young baby. The restaurant was in a beautiful building but unfortunately the food was a little disappointing and the service was relatively poor. The hotel was very close to Bath and in beautiful grounds. Some of our party played golf and were very impressed with the course." (97756428)

  The rooms were lovely.

  The bar & breakfast area was disappointing and was not equipped with the drinks or facilities we wanted. The staff had to keep going over to the main building to fetch things. Also the rugby was on a large screen so the bar was not condusive to a family / quiet pre dinner drink. The restaurant did not live up to the hype - the food and service was disappointing,

  "very pleasant helpful young female staff. room comfortable with all one could want in a neat package - ie fridge water filter coffee making facilities flat screen tv hairdryer towels shampoos body lotion powerful shower and bath and the setting impressive breakfast was ample and self service only down side for us was it is a golf hotel so there is a very large screen tv in the breakfast/bar area - sound was off but would have liked breakfast without tv. i suspect not a problem for most coming here" (99372430)

  Very pleasant unfussy style of rooms with nice high ceilings. Complementray water in the rooms and decent tea and coffee facilities
