    The hotel, as well as being by far the most luxurious i have stayed in, had a wonderful welcoming atmosphere, the room as breath taking, the staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful and the breakfast was the best i have had in a long, long time. A truely amazing time!

    Beautiful room, very picturesque location. The Staff were friendly and attentive. Amazing full English breakfast it was scrumptcous best I've had in ages! Would recommend to all.

    Ordered some champagne for our room which was of good taste, but was under the impression it was being put on our bill until one of the staff came and knocked on our door as my card was declined (due to the fact it was a replacement) to collect additional card details to take payment immediately. This didn't bother me as such, I just wasn't fully informed of the process correctly.

    THE HOTEL WAS LOVELY AND WE ENJOYED THE NICE LITTLE TOUCHES THAT MAKE YOUR STAY SPECIAL ( CHOCOLATE ON THE PILLOWS, TEA, COFFE AND BISCUITES, NICE TOILETRYS.

    THE ROOM WE STAYED IN EVEN THOUGH IT WAS NICE, IT WAS NOT UP TO THE STANDARD OF THE ROOMS OUR FAMILY AND FREINDS STAYED IN, BUT THEY DID OFFER TO CHANGE US AS WE WERE STAYING 2 NIGHTS, BUT AS THEY WERE FULL I DID NOT WANT TO TAKE A ROOM AWAY FROM FAMILY MEMBERS

    everything had been thought of to make our stay as perfect as it could be. Quality of the breakfast was outstanding. Room was as comfy as anywhere I have ever stayed, and the staff/owners were exceptional.

    No bad points but a constructive criticsm would be to give a complimentary morning newspaper to complete the high standard of service already given.

    Excellent service, excellent decor and superb english breakfast. Good position for visiting local ironbridge museums.

    Hotel would benefit from a bar and rest room to enjoy the early evenings - that's the only negative !!

    "A wonderfull place to stay with great staff that are always their to help, my partner and i are already planning another tripto the Old Rectory next year. There are different rooms with different themes so each stay can be like staying in a new hotel LOL. Wonderfull area as well with many things to do." (97545546)

    "Our overnight stay was booked as a birthday treat. We could not have found a better place to stay. The luxurious quality of the B+B package as a whole was second to none and would make anyones stay very special. The Old Rectory is highly recommended by us and we hope to return for another visit very soon. To Make the venue perfect would only need a restaurant within the premises for evening meals. However the Old Rectory is situated near to many restaurants and we dined out at 'Restaurant 7' in Ironbridge where we enjoyed one of the best meals we have had for a long time." (97793767)

    Very friendly staff, finishing touches such as bottled water in room plenty of tea, coffee, biscuits and chocolates

    Size of Jackfield room disappointing, right up in the attic, no view out of a window, no good if you are not able bodied.

    "Having experienced a number of quality four-star hotels at over twice the cost, this five-star B&B is in a class of its own. Many of the benefits & luxuries of a five star hotel but unpretentious, with personal, friendly & informal service (not patronising or fawning). The breakfasts were exceptional with all tastes catered for. As vegetarians we were accommodated with Quorn sausages & other meat free delights without any problem. We live in the depths of the country so are very sensitive to traffic noise etc. Our three-night stay was peacefully quiet even with the bedroom windows open. Everywhere was immaculately clean. We have never encountered such attention to detail & nice little touches everywhere. We visit the area once a year for an annual event but loved the Old Rectory so much that we will be looking for excuses to return more often & to experience some of their other rooms. (We were able to view some of the other rooms before our departure. Each one very individual & to the same high standard as ours). As this is also an excellent base for exploring all of the Ironbridge Gorge museums etc. we will have a very plausible excuse." (99481892)

    Quiet, beautifully clean, light & airy room. Informally friendly, efficient staff - nothing was too much trouble. Fantastic breakfasts made-up to order. Ample car park.

    Excellent service, room was very inviting and clean. After eating one of these breakfasts you will not want for food for the rest of the day!

    It was really clean which is reassuring, and also the staff were all really friendly. The breakfast was brilliant.

    The fact that the doors were keypad numbers which couldnt be locked.

    We had a really warm welcome despite arriving in the dark and pouring rain. The rooms were lovely and the chocolates, bottled water and biscuits were certainly put to good use! The breakfast was huge and set us up for the day and I would definately recommend this hotel.

    TV reception was poor on terestrial but good through digital - however, there were only limited channels on digital (no C4 for example) Had to take the waterproof cover off the pillow as it was like trying to sleep on a carrier bag - but understand why the hotel uses them.

    The room was beautiful and very clean

    There was no restuarant and I was unable to have breakfast as they didn't start serving until 8am. This is too late for a business traveller.

    "We had an excellent two night stay at The Old Rectory. The room was delightful. The breakfast was really too big for us to eat, which was a shame. However, the choice was excellent, every taste catered for." (3305314219)

    Every detail was well thought out. The room was beautifully decorated and my daughter was delighted with the small box of chocs she found under her pillow.

    The shower was quite small, and as we had some very heavy rain there was nowhere in our room to hang wet coats.

    "You are appealing to a niche market of reasonably well off people who have had enough of impersonal hotel chains.This is refelcted in your pricing. I was incredibly well looked after(including the de-icing of my car windscreen). My only complaint is that there was no restaurant or bar area for guests. I understand you are addressing the issue of a restaurant and I opined that it should be aimed at the market you are trying to attract.A high quality a la carte restaurant would be an added bonus. Breakfast was excellent. For the price though, I would have liked to see pots of sauce/mustard etc as opposed to the Little Chef sachets" (99738849)

    "Having stayed in many hotels from Travelodge to 5*, I can honestly say this is by far the best hotel I have ever stayed in. The bed was clean and comfy, even a feather under quilt. Plenty of tea, etc. There was a gift pack of srubbie, loofa and hand glove for bath (jacuzzi), even cotton buds and facial wipes. Breakfast was superb, perfectly cooked and plenty of it. Fresh fruit salad, yogurt, bio drink, cereal. We were totally spoilt. The owner made us feel welcome and nothing was too much trouble." (99413564)
