    upgraded to penthouse suite,spotlessly clean, lovely veiws.

    loads of wardrobe hanging space in bedrooms,but no drawers. could do with bigger screened tv, quite antiquated. dining table very rickety

    spacious,good connection for public transport,super powerful shower,tea+ coffee and sugar provided,quiet location,free internet access at reception.Staff were polite when asked to fix and provide items

    Curtains hanging off rail, blocked dishwasher that was stinking , no wine glasses,no tea towel for drying dishes, dirty marked carpet,dirty metal dish rack,taps difficult to turn on and off due to bad planning,

    "A modern, clean apartment with great views of the sea, Britannia & Edinburgh castle (though this will vary from apartment to apartment) Some fittings were a little worn (the dinner table had scratches, the lino on the kitchen floor was bubbling) However, the beds were comfortable & the mattresses clean/new. The shower was also great & the apartment was quieter than many places I've stayed with minimal road noise. Everything worked & overall a good apartment (but too many little things wrong to be excellent) Location was good. A Brewers Fayre pub is 300-400 metres away, venture another 100-200 metres & there's a Loch Fyne, Italian & a very good pub called the Peacock Inn (plus an Asda superstore) Approx half a mile away (next to the Britannia) is a modern shopping centre, with M&S, cinema & numerous restaurants (some overlooking the sea) Bus stop is only 100-200 metres away to get into Leith takes 5mins, Edinburgh city centre 15-25 mins (with buses every 10 mins) I would definitely stay here again."     Clean, plenty of hot water, quiet, good bus route into city

    Lack of kitchen equipment, no over gloves, tea towel (didn't use dishwasher),table very wobbly, several bulbs needed replacing. Also lack of mirror in bedrooms. No lock on family bathroom door. Tea and coffee provided but no UHT milk which would have been nice when arriving late at night.

    The location is good and the idea of the apartments is very good.

    Where to begin? The front door of the building was difficult to open, requiring considerable force. The result was that people were leaving it open, compromising security. More seriously, there was no proper fire procedure, which was problematic as the fire alarm went off in the early hours of the morning of 29/7. The fire escape door was subsequently left wedged open, which I believe is an illegal practice.

    "Excellent accommodation, fantastic view of the harbour, watching the Columbus liner dock and leave. Although the curtesy bus has now finished the local bus stop was close and only cost " (108047162)

    Fantastic view overlooking the harbour as promised, great position not too close to the town.Staff very obliging.

    Access into the apartment as the key alignment did not open the door.Eventually gained access through opening the fire exit door which led to the apartment.No hire of equipment eg. nintendo wii or dvd's as stated online and no curtesy bus running.

    Free Parking, Convenient bus links into the city, specious clean and shops nearby.

    "i can only praise the hotel,i have stayed in many hotels in edinburgh over the past 4 years whilst my daughter studied at the university.i found the apartment an excellent place to stay. my friend who accompanied me really enjoyed it.it was easy to get into the centre both by car and public transport,i am only sorry that i did not discover the harbour earlier."     very comfortable beds,fantastic views,everything was as listed on the internet booking service, accomodation overall was better than expected.made a change from staying in hotels in very noisy parts of edinburgh.

    lack of mirrors this made it difficult to dry hair,put on makeup and check clothes.

    "Convenient location for restaurants car park and bus at reasonable price; and a fine view of Edinburgh city. As readers rather than TV people, we felt your maintenance of the ceiling lights wasn't up to scratch. The road directions are out of date due to changes!" (97452664)

    Quiet and clean with good quality furniture and comfortable bed.

    Inadequate ceiling lighting: bulbs in lounge - none out of 7 working, kitchen 1 of 2 working, en suite bedroom 4 of 6 working. That meant we could not read in the lounge! We complained about this and were told it could not be fixed before we left next morning. We think you have a distinct safety problem with changes in floor level: inside in the reception area, the step down (across the full floor width) is not really visible if you are moving from inside towards the outer door, especially at night; outside there is a two foot drop with no handrail. Both need a better contrast edge-line or a handrail!

    spacious and quiet, easy parking

    We just had a problem finding it at night - we were late because of the M6 being closed. We were told to go to the second last block, and we found it was the last block. So we had trouble finding the flat. We thought that the flooring was a bit the worse for wear, but it is hard to keep this in top order, when some clients may abuse the property.

    "I would highly recommend these apartments as pricewise they were comparable to Travelodge etc but they offered so much more. 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms plus a very comfortable living room and well appointed kitchen. I stayed here while on a work course but on arriving home have booked a stay for the family during the Easter holidays. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the courtesey bus convenient. A Brewers Fayre within walking distance will be very convenient for a family trip." (97962317)

    The apartment was very spacious and comfortable. The views over the firth of Forth and the Royal yacht Brittania were fantastic.

    Having to go back home!

    "dispite the few problems mentioned above, our stay was excellent. We loved the appartment and will be back as we were visiting family. We had thought when we booked that we would be able to use public transport more, but as was a long walk to the road we did't. However we could have used the shuttle bus, which is a good idea.     The flat itself was beautiful, the layout, the furniture. It was lovely and warm and we had excellent views. Liked the use of the leisure complex. good having the underground car park and lift to appartment.

    Unfortunatly there were quite a few broken fitings ie in the bathrooms, shower shield/glass in main bathroom, shower head in en suite,oven handles got VERY hot and lots of light bulbs out.

    "We booked a standard apartment, on arrival we had been allocated the Penthouse 2 floor duplex overlooking the Royal Yacht.The rooms were very clean, warm and contained everything advertised . We had a very relaxing break - no noise, no disturbances, no problems whatsoever. The bed was huge and very comfortable,freshly laundered - home from home ! Having read previous reviews, we had been a little bit aprehensive - This proved to be unfounded - I would recommend this Accommodation to all - we will be booking again in the New Year" (97698003)

    "We knew when we booked that the location was a distance from the city, but there are no local facilities to buy provisions, these are a car journey away. Since we had no car, we relied on the shuttle bus into town to obtain all of our shopping.The area is undergoing a massive redevelopment and is in fact a building site, although this never effected us directly. The apartments are very well proportioned in size but the finish let's them down. The linens provided were very thin and pillows very flat. None of the crockery or glasses matched each other so we all ended up with odd plates and mugs!Housekeeping needs to step up their efforts as the apartment looked scuffy even though it was about two years old. On the whole, we enjoyed our stay but it could have been much better if a little effort was made, they are missing out on great reviews. Would only recommend these apartments if we revisited and the changes had been made." (97485970)

    "The instructions given by the reception staff for finding the apartment from the underground car park were totally inadequate. More signage is needed. We could not get the oven to work, though this may have been our fault. Again better instructions would have been helpful. The apartment was well presented and a pleasant place to stay." (97769301)

    "Our stay was great,everything we could need was in our apartment.the staff were helpfull and at hand up to 10pm.we did have a little trouble finding which block of apartments were ours and finding the reception area.the gym was fantastic,large and very well equiped.It was nice to be able to have a sleep in without the worry of a chambermaid knocking on the door."     the accomodation was great,everything we could need was in the apartment,right down to an iron and ironboard.mutch better than a hotel.

    one of our window locks was broken,and reported,and being quite windy during our stay it did wake us through the night.

    "Fabulous location for views and much better than a hotel stay. Given location, we hired a car and found this very helpful and appreciated the underground car park. Check in was very easy and informative. Utilised the tourist information stand, in reception, to go on Mary Kings Close tour - also very informative! Great pace for a weekend, or longer stay. Really felt like a home away from home - but much better views than home! Had a very enjoyable stay and will be coming back and telling all our friends about it!" (97851317)

    Amazing views, comfortable beds, very spacious, great kitchen for entertaining, underground car parking. Overall excellent experience - will definitely be back again!

    "shuttle bus into city was great although it was a bit crowded a few times especially by the time poeple with luggage got on. maybe some other arrangement for luggage or less people on the bus would have been better. the site we booked through had most of the details we wanted" (97014425)

    self contained and able to do our own thing washing machine was a bonus as was free internet. Beds comfortable, free DVD's was also a bonus

    toaster needs replacing and no tea towel for drying dishes in unit.

    "Generally pleased with our stay. We had booked a twin room and it was set up as a double. The staff did change it but one of the duvet replacements was very thin and would have been completely inadequate if the weather has been any colder Inspite of excellent cooking facilities there was nowhere to eat comfortably and no dishcloths to wipe surfaces or tea towels provided maybe this should have been on confirmation letter. Length of time it took to replace light in lift was a bit scary. Shuttle bus was excellent but timetable needs revising Maybe explanation of how heating and heated towel rail worked would be helpful.     It was nice to have kitchen faciilties and a nicely set out two bed apartment instead of the typical hotel room and extortionate room service!

    The apartments could do with being cleaned to a far higher standard. Plus, some of the pots and pans need replacing, not just cleaning.

    the amount of space available was excellent, the beds were soft and comfortable.

    The check-out was at 10 am, children did not get a chance to swim, there should have been information that there was a fully fitted kitchen ready to use. there was know savory snacks or tea bags to welcome us. the people at the reception desk were not seen or could not be contacted.

    Accommodation was excellent, why stay B&B when apartments like these are available, spacious, very well appointed, excellent service by staff.

    Completeley different to a hotel room!

    Quite a number of light bulbs not working; pans in kitchen have seen far better times; plug in bath not working; bath not cleaned since last guests (grime and hairs in bath)

    "I chose the Harbour Apartments for our accomodation as they could suit all our business needs. They were ideally located with everything close to hand. I would certainly book the apartments again in the future." (99177386)

    The apartments were extremely spacious and ideal for a family having a short stay. They were excellently located too being in the centre of all of Leith's attractions with fabulous views across the harbour. You were free to come and go as you please.

    Modern very good location

    The TV didnt work very well, and the reception desk has no door handle on the outside side we and another couple had a hard time just getting in to book in. the lounge chair has a huge gash in the back.
