    Staff very helpful. Restaurant food satisfactory, but surprised that some of the things on menu were not available. Room clean and tidy.

    Breakfast staff were friendly and helpful and service was prompt as we requested a quick get away.

    A tired, fawlty towers style hotel with rooms that needed redecoration and less than helpful staff on recepion.

    Very helpful staff. Food presented nicely and well cooked.

    Not a bad point but details on how to get there would be useful as the one way system around Dudley does not sit well with Satnavs........

    An available executive room with jacuzzi was available, so we paid to upgrade.

    Check in was slow - one person started it and another interfered and seemed to lack the desire to be there. I asked for a sandwich for my room as I had arrived later than expected - I was told to go to the bar to order. I then received a call from reception to say my sandwich was ready for collection! When I went to reception they told me it was in the bar! I had to carry my meal and drink up to the room without a tray and had to take the stairs (to 2nd floor) as I hadn't got enough hands to handle the lift as well! The room was not the cleanest I have been in and was very very basic!

    Very spacious, free parking, central location

    Room overlooked Bingo hall and bus stop. People on top deck looked into the room. Very noisy people at bus stop and traffic noise. Decor in desparate need of updating. Heating did not appear to work in room or bathroom. Shower head fixed too low. Top of wardrobe covered with dust. Had to wait to find someone in restaurant to serve me.

    Staff were helpful and friendly. Hotel clean and welcoming.

    Lift not working during stay. 12 hr power failure in hotel. Fire alarm sounded at 2am,Staff unsure what they were doing. No hot drinks available despite being outside in freezing temps for over 1hr. No electric, no heating or hot water on Sat morning.

    The room was very clean and staff were very friendly.

    Wi Fi was not up to stratch but ok. No heating in the room which made for a very cold stay.

    Friendly, helpful staff. A comfortable room. An excellent price. It was also one of the best hotel breakfast's I've had.

    Excellent room, very comfortable bed and staff were very friendly.

    Shower was very weak and dripped rather than showered. Also it's temperature was controlled by mixing the hot and cold water. One problem - my taps regularly seized up and wouldn't move :-(

    Value for money and location

    I had an experience where I was bitten quite a number fo times during the night. When I rung up the Manager later, I was told that because the window was open I had been bitten by flying ants. No apolgy.

    Room was cleaned every day, towels and bed linen were changed daily, staff were very friendly and helpful, breakfast which was inclusive was excellent, the tea/coffee and milk was plentiful and we could bring our dog which was brilliant, overall a great break, enjoyed it all.

    Shower attached to taps 0n bath, a more modern power shower would be better.

    The greeting was nice, the room was clean, the staff were willing and helpful. The breakfast service was good

    The TV in the room could have been of better quality and reception was not good. The cooked breakfast itself could have been prepared with better care, a lump of scrambled egg does not help the appetite, it takes very little extra time to heat it in a pan than to microwave it!!

    It was close location to my conference venue and very close to local shops and amenities....the facilities were clean.i enjoyed the breakfast

    generally although clean the decor and furnishings are worn and tatty and need refreshing. bed was uncomfortable due to matress springs sticking through.

    "I booked this hotel because it was near to where I was working and I try to stay at local, independent hotels rather than faceless travel lodge types. However, compared to those kind, this hotel is quite tired looking and has a slightly shabby air about it, although everything was clean and the service was good. The main reason I wouldn't stay here again is because it was noisy being right next to the main road and the bed was uncomfortable." (97105555)

    The staff were friendly and helpful - my remote control for the TV didn't work and this was sorted out straight away. I ordered food on room service and this was brought quickly and was nice and hot.

    The mattress was the most uncomfortable I've ever experienced in a hotel! It sagged in the middle and I could feel the springs - time to get a new one. My room faced onto the main road and it was quite noisy with lots of buses going past, but not a lot the hotel can do about that.

    I thought the staff were very pleasant and made our stay very enjoyable. The food served was excellent every meal

    location is great

    Found a tshirt down the side of bed that wasnt ours! Breakfast was ok. Rooms need update. Rain came throug the window and nearly wet suitcase
