    goede prijs kwaliteit verhouding ook voor wat betreft het eten en vriendelijke mensen

    De eetzaal was niet in gebruik. ik denk omdat er te weinig gasten waren. Daarom moesten we eten in de pub en dat vonden we iets minder. Op de foto's had het hotel een luxere uitstraling. Het was echter een simpele pub met leuke kamers.

    This Hotel/Pub is warm & friendly, rooms are comfortable and its in a nice rural setting. I have been staying there on & off for the last 4 years while on business in Birmingham. I think its now under new owners? Well the service has not changed. Very nice to sit in front of the log fire & sup some real ale.......perfect, full breakfast was wounderful. lets have more pubs like this. I will be returning in the new year.

    One very small niggle. I went out to Straford -Upon -Avon for a drink & dinner with an old work colleague who lives in the same village. We deceided to return to the pub at 10.45 for the last couple of drinks, only to find the pub & bar closed. I had access to my room through the rear entrance, pity as this would have completed a perfect evening.

    I was a bit disappointed when I arrived because I didn't like the entrance and I found a bit dark in the receptin area. The room was really nice a bit small though for a big double bed. I liked the style, the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom very clean. The breakfast was really good. I found the location very peaceful but if you want more excitement you have to go to Stratford.

    I think that the reception area should be more attractive and brighter so that it can give you a better impression when you walk in.

    "Good food and lovely staff ..just a couple of downsides for us staying on the Sunday night. Really good place to visit Shakespear country and some good walks along the canal on the doorstep of the pub. Locals are all friendly too. A good place to have a relaxing stay." (108881463)

    Lovely location and building. Room a decent size with comfy bed, clean and tidy etc. Staff very friendly and helpful..nothing too much trouble and a fantastic breakfast.

    We stayed on a Sunday night stay meant that food stopped being served at 6.30pm and the pub closed at 9pm. Scuppered our plans for a romantic evening meal with a few drinks afterwards. I would suggest that the Inn point this out at the booking stage or on their website to avoid disapointment. We don't get many nights off from our 3 year old twins! Also the windows in our room could do with some attention.

    Good breakfast, clean, friendly host.

    Had originally booked for two nights and due to a cockup by the website, had to find alternative accommodation for first night. Bed uncomfortable. Noise from couple next door kept us awake because they were going to the toilet every two hours during the night.

    BEAUTIFUL LOCATION,TASTY FOOD,FULL OF CHARACTER,COMFORTABLE ROOM WITH NICE BATHROOM

    ONLY BAD POINT WAS VERY NOISY VENTILATION FAN WHICH CONTINUED ON AND OFF RIGHT OUTSIDE BEDROOM WINDOW ALL NIGHT.ADMITTEDLY I AM A LIGHT SLEEPER BUT IT DID KEEP ME AWAKE.AS;COULDNT OPEN WINDOWS AS EVEN NOISIER COULD HAVE DONE WITH A FAN OR VENTILATION IN THE ROOM AS VERY WARM NIGHT.

    Great location and the food / drink was good

    It was a bit chaotic as there had been a wedding there the night before, some of the staff were a bit stressed and there seemed to be a lot of young people working there. They ran out of ice during the hotest day of the year so far and this sounds petty but there's no point having quite a nice bathroom if you spend 2p on the toilet roll, it was like the stuff you used to get at school!!

    Room was good size - young bar and waiting staff very efficient and friendly, nice location

    Management staff Very rude. Bar and restaurant closed on Sunday eve, we knew there would be no food but no warning about no bar either!! Were told very rudely that we could take a drink back upstairs. The management have no customer service skills whatever and seem indifferent to guests. What a lost opportunity to make money - a captive audience wanting to eat and drink on a Sunday evening and nothing offered. These people should concentrate on selling the sizzle of the place. It could be a goldmine in its lovely location. I would have serious concerns if I were the owner of this business

    Good food, friendly staff, good pressure in the shower. Comfortable bed with good pillows. We liked the restaurant - the food and service were really good.

    As we arrived there were a number of smokers stood on the front door step who made no effort to move to let us in - in fact, I had to ask them to move so we could get to the door - this was a really poor first impression of the Inn and made us wonder what we had let ourselves in for. Once we'd managed to get into the Inn we were really pleased with the service and the food and the room. I would suggest that you ask smokers to stand elsewhere as it really lets the place down.

    Great breakfast, great four poster bed and great staff - very helpful individuals.

    Flooding in the cellar - created confusion on our arrival, however didn't interfer with the experience. A dated bathroom.

    Bedroom and facilities therein were very good. Food was excellent if a little slow in arriving. Staff (including bar and waiters) were without fail as friendly and helpful as they could have been.

    Ensuite bathroom was tired and needs upgrading. Lighting poor.

We were impressed with the overall standard of the hotel, their staff and the food. We stayed in the Romeo & Juliet suite which was absolutely gorgeous and well worth evey penny!     Heating erratic, bathroom didn't work, bedroom valve not adjustable ie off or full on. Shower unit could do with refurbishing.

    "Our room on the first night was rather small and cramped. We had not realised that there was only a shower, no bath. We were disturbed for the whole night by the knocking in the central heating. This room, we felt, was over-priced. Next day we were transferred immediately to a far larger room for our remaining 3 nights, in compensation, we assume, for the inconvenience of the previous night. Unfortunately the thermostat on the main radiator was broken. The heating stayed on, unnecessarily, all night and the radiator was too hot to touch. We had to leave both windows open all night for the temperature to be bearable - which we could not have done if it had been windy or rainy. We did not complain, but mentioned the problem when we left." (97591743)

    "The inn is conveniently located near to Stratford, but with the tranquility and charm of a traditional English village setting.The inn is efficiently and discretely managed so that guests are made to feel completely relaxed and at home during their stay.The room that we stayed in was really quite impressive, with its four-poster bed and oppulent soft furnishings and comfortable settee. There was also a flat-screen TV and DVD in the room. The traditional English Breakfast was delicious and the restaurant and bar snack menu was varied and reasonably priced.The bar was well stocked and the inn serves a good pint ! We really enjoyed our stay at the Mary Arden, and felt that we had been well looked after by all the staff who were extremely helpful and friendly.
