    "the hotel is lovely not far from the town or the harbour the sights are just beautiful the only thing is it is set on a hill.and that is the only thing i would say consider if you dont like an energetic walk." (97942201)

    Nice peaceful position in a residential area.The breakfast is very large and sufficient to see one through to dinner without needing any lunch. Our 2 rooms were quiet and comfortable and the staff helpfull.

    "We were very pleased with the hotel and it's situation- Goodrington Sands. It is only a short walk from the centre of Paignton either via the cliff walk, (which may be difficult for the elderly or infirm) or along the Dartmouth Road.There is also a very frequent bus service towards Brixham and Torquay.The steam train journey(stops at Goodrington Sands) and ferry across to Dartmouth are well worth taking for the lovely views and olde worlde atmosphere of days gone bye. The staff and proprietors of this hotel are extremely professional yet very friendly, we were made to feel very welcome. The standard of food was very good with an exceptionally good choice,including vegetarian options. We will definately come again and would recommend to friends." (3305267926)

    The hotel was located on a quiet road very close to the beach.The hotel was immaculately clean and furnished to a high standard.

    There was nothing we really disliked, our bedroom was on the small side but this did not affect our stay.

    "Hotel situated in a good position over-looking the bay. Quiet area within easy walking distance (less than 5 minutes) of the beach. Excellent breakfast - choice and quality.     "The hotel was an excellant find and our stay was very enjoyable. The staff were welcoming and friendly all the time. It is hard to find anything negative to say except for the fact that the hotel is on various levels, with some rooms downstairs from reception. These rooms were not serviced by a lift and the staircase was narrow so carrying suitcases etc could have been awkward. Once in the romm it was well lit by natural light. Also, the main carpark is small and getting in and out could be awkward. And to get to reception you needed to climb some steps, which could again be awkward with cases etc. The overflow carpark, however, which is only a few yards up the road is more spacious and more accessible. But the availablity of the overflow carpark was not immediately apparent." (3305094185)

    The room was larger than expected, and well decorated. The dining area was clean, tidy and spacious. Service was attentive and friendly. The breakfasts were excellent.

    While overall cleanliness was very good,the corners of the room and the ensuite could have been hoovered/swept more thoroughly.

    "Overall the hotel was fine, but expensive for what it was. The over bath shower had no pressure at all and was prone to huge temperature flutuations - very poor! The staff were excellent, very helpful. The breakfast was plentiful with a good couple of veggie options. The reasons I wouldn't recommend the hotel is because of the shower and price." (3305094097)
