    Excellent restuarant - both the evening meal and breakfast were very good. Recently refurbished bathroom. Staff very helpful

    Bedroom rather small and very ordinary. Hotel felt cramped and in need of freshening up. Parking is also a problem and hotel is located back from the front and on a busy one way system

    "a good stay for 1 night, I would not have liked to stay longer. The staff were very friendly on arrival, car parking was good. The overall appearance was nice and the premises was clean. Good access to Saundersfoot." (108381743)

    room was clean, breakfast good selection

    room very small for a double at this price. Only one chair provided. Balcony small but adequate unfortunately had not been cleaned and many cigarette butts were evident, also weeds growing from wall. Noise containment between rooms was poor. Only ventilation into room was through french window not very practical as proximity to local night club made keeping it open a very noisy affair.

    "Probably the nicest hotel in Saundersfoot. Sitting just behind the main sea front The Gower Hotel is an excellent location for sightseeing, a beach holiday or as we did, a perfect place to stay while visiting relatives. Spread over 3 floors with a lift it is decorated and furnished to a high standard and also has parking at the rear for @ 10 cars. The Gower has excellent rooms all spotlessly clean and comfortable with good size bathrooms. We stayed in the quad room with two teenage daughters and had plenty of space. Nice touch with tea, coffee, hot chocolate making facilities in the room and 4 packets of biscuits (2 in each) left in the room each day. The Gower offers an excellent menu at breakfast from fruit juice and cereal through full english plus bar meals in the evening or high quality evening meals in the Orangery restaurant (conservatory). We tried all and an recommend all meals. All the staff were very pleasant and helpful throughout our very pleasant stay and we would highly recommended this hotel to anyone thinking of staying in Saundersfoot." (97069776)

    Well positioned, a lift services all floors, good size rooms spotlessly clean and comfortable with bathrooms, car parking at the rear for @ 10 - 14 cars. Good quality food at breakfast, bar meals or full gourmet evening meals in the Orangery restaurant. All the staff were very pleasant and helpful.

    Staff very friendly and helpful.Nice surroundings.Good food,high standard restaurant meal.Good location for the beach.

    The temperature of room was a little warm at times.We could hear conversations in other rooms on occasions.

    "Absolutely brilliant" (97327334)

    Superb Hotel, even made sure the motorbikes were secure in the front carpark. Staff couldn't do enough for us. Breakfast was lovely, rooms were clean and more than adequate. Will go back again soon.

    Overall good stay, but room was cramped for 4 people (even though the room was advertised as a family room for 4 adults) and there was not even a closet or dresser to hang/store any clothing.

    "Generaly the hotel is well situated with ease of access and parking, the staff are very pleasnt and courtious. I would insist on not booking room 16 again but i would visit there again." (97150051)

    convieniant for the overnite stay no hastle booking and pleasant staff and facilities.

    The fact we were in room 16 above the kitchen with the noise associated with the fans, radios, people shouting and talking loudly posibly the cooks and staff. this finished at 9:30 but i could not rest. and there was a smell of coocing in the room.

    "On arrival we waited 10 minutes to get in the hotel as noone answered the back door & there is no access to reception from back / car park (when we actually found the car park!) - also got locked out in the evening as noone told us the door code, and there was noone on reception in the evening / our key and others were left on the counter for anyone to pick up / access our room with. The room was very disjointed with dated decor - with no plug socket next to the kettle, kids bed not flush to the wall as radiator in the way. Hot water coming from the cold tap. Also - bar was closed as replacing flooring. This is not 4 star service / accommodation - infact pretty poor." (99334288)

    Breakfast service was good / very nice breakfast. Accommodation very central.

    "First impressions of the hotel were good... the reception area and dining room were both smartly decorated and it was nice to have a lift to our room on the second floor. The bedroom itself was quite small and not the cleanest we've ever stayed in. The decor was also quite old and could do with sprucing up. Our main problem however was the noise during the night from the people in the street. I remember looking out of our bedroom window at about 2.30am and saw dozens of people shouting and screaming outside and a police presence (including a CCTV van) keeping a watchful eye over precedings. We discovered the next morning that a fairly small nightclub is situated about 75 yards from the hotel so I would guess the noise problem is a common occurrence during the weekends and other nights when the nightclub is open. It was the worst night's sleep (or lack of it) we've had in years. One positive point to finish this review on was the excellent Full English breakfast we had the next morning... complete with many cups of coffee!" (99609334)

    Smart reception area and dining room and nice to have a lift to our room on the second floor. Great breakfast!

    "This was a gift for my mother's 60 th birthday present, a weekend away in Saundersfoot. Unfortunately the hotel let my parents down. To make matters worse, on the Sunday after the trip, the hotel contacted my parents to ask if they had paid their Saturday evening food bill! Thankfully my parents had paid by credit card, they felt that were effectively being accused of stealing. The hotel should have checked it's records before blundering on with a telephone call such as this. I was disappointed for my parents, just glad they had not travelled too far for this experience."     The hotel food was very good.

    The first night's stay was in a small smokey room, even though we had picked non-smoking and this is the law in Wales. The second night's sleep (Saturday) was broken by the cars racing around the one way system outside.

    The hotel is close to the beach not even a 5 minute walk away. Nice relaxed atmosphere. Already thinking about booking again to take my parents

    "We liked the position of the hotel, near to the harbour.The parking was also very convenient.We were given a warm welcome by the staff and told everything we needed to know on arrival. There was plenty of refreshments in the room(tea, coffee etc). The breakfast menu had a good and varied choice.     "Disappointed that room was small. Even medium-sized suitcase required strategic positioning to facilitate access and egress. No wardrobe. More akin to B&B/guest house. Narrow, steep stairs.     "I would not recommend this hotel (or any other hotel in the town centre) due to the level of noise generated by the aforementioned twits in their cars. If the local authorities could prevent the Fast and the Furious wannabes from making so much noise at night, I wouldn't hesitate in choosing the Gower hotel again. The water pressure could be improved for showering purposes too - I have a lot of hair, and it took ages to wash the shampoo out of it due to the dribble of water that made its way out of the shower head. But that's all I can complain about - everything else was top notch. A lovely hotel with lovely staff." (3305040313)

    Clean, excellent service, friendly and efficient staff. Oh and the food is top notch too.

    Noise of young idiots in their cars roaring past the hotel every night. Low water pressure made showering a chore.
