    Good value and staff was efficient

    The hotel is currently undergoing renovation and the fumes of the glue used on carpeting was pretty bad.

    "A real trip back to the 70's this Hotel is , but as a location for a group of blokes on a Stag Do , absolutely no issues with it .... in fact it probably added to the enjoyment & memories of the whole trip to stay in a place like the Kyjev :-) If you are wanting to impress your other half then you are definitely recommended to look at other accommodation options in Brat . But as a location for a Stag / Hen / Birthday Do it's absolutely fine & the room price is excellent (as is breakfast by the way). Hotel has a Bar that does beer & food at giveaway prices as well , a top way to start your evening - just don't expect 4 or 5 Star luxury for the money you pay. I would definitely use the Kyjev again if I went on a similair trip" (107481669)

    very retro 70's communist era hotel, kitchy! If they are doing up hotel I hope they keep this feeling. Staff lovely, excellent English, very close to all the attractions.

    the beds could be more comfortable, pity about the annoying English stag party across the road at the Blue Hostel who woke me up at 5am every morning (no fault of Hotel Kyjev, obviously.

    The breakfast was of very good standard

    Filthy room, broken tiles in the bathroom, minimal heating, generally old and still reminant of the old communist era.

    Clean, comfortable beds. Very retro decor!! Good breakfast. Great location.

    Carpet in bedrooms is a horrid colour, well worn and everywhere! Traffic (especially trams) noise goes all night, so best to request a high floor - you need the window open as the heating is full on!

    Very good breakfast and perfectly central location. Good prices and friendly staff.

    Old and worn hotel which is in need of renovation. Beds are unfit for heavy guests or guests with back problems.
