    "I would say that for the location, the views (we paid for a river view), the peace and quiet and size of the room, and the friendly service, it was fantastic. Quality of all fittings, bedding etc was as expected and we were by no means disappointed. To sum up, I would stay here again for the location, river views and peace, but if I wanted greater luxury then I would try the Waldorf Hilton, The May Fair or London Bridge Hotel (premium room)."     Incredibly polite and friendly staff, amazing views from higher floors (6+), size of room, size of bed, coffee machine in the room, location of hotel, general standard of decor within the hotel.

    Switching the air-con off in the night was almost impossible. Very strange system. Ours may have been faulty but we didn't feel like asking at 4 in the morning! Special request for an upper floor room was just ignored, as when we then asked if we could be moved it was no problem at all so they could have honoured this in the first place. Slight drainage smell in foyer, though this didn't affect the upper corridors or the rooms. We were charged more than was stated in our booking confirmation, though this was refunded when questioned.

    "Lovely hotel, great staff but as previously mentioned the smell put me off it was quite bad, and for this reason only I would not stay again concidering the price of the rooms, which is a shame because we often stay overnight when we go to the theatre or to a restaurant." (107748122)

    Lovely view from hotel room and great coffee, staff friendly, location excellent for the theatre/covent garden

    just a shame the hotel smelt of drains, and I had to use my chanel perfume to freshen air in room, it was a strong smell through out hotel, this was a shame as apart from that I would have returned but that has put me off

    Everything was excellent. I had emailed the hotel beforehand and mentioned that we were celebrating my husband's birthday that weekend. We were upgraded from a standard room to a suite on the top floor and also given complimentary chocolates and champagne. I was very impressed by the generosity of the hotel.

    Position excellant walking distance to shops entertainment and many sights Room nice size staff friendly and helpful

    Extras very expensive but to be expected in a hotel of this rating.

    Lovely hotel with fantastic views over the Thames - definitely worthwhile paying extra for river view. Good coffee machine. Friendly staff.

    Warm and friendly welcome. Hotel is within 3 minute walk of the tube station, 20 minute walk to covent garden and London theatres. Great coffee machine in the hotel room. Excellt value for money

    Room, location, view.

    Attitude of staff at check in was appalling and very very unhelpful. Credit card was declined and they refused to accept my credit card was good. In fact it had been referred to authorisation centre not declined by Virgin. Staff would not phone their authorisation centre and I had to ask 3 times to use phone to find problem. Card had been blocked for fraud as it was used in Hong Kong. I was at check in for 25 minutes. Very disappointing. I will be making a formal complaint. On top of this we were asked if we wanted a wake up call which we declined, and made sure by pressing the 'do not disturb button'. In the morning we were phoned twice and had a knock on the door twice by the maid!!

    accueil, lit grand et confortable, service lit gratuit pour enfant, petites attentions (magazines, chocolats, fruits, thé et café dans la chambre), situé centre Londres

    la salle de bain aurait besoin d'être rénovée. Les joints n'étaient pas impeccables et le système de douche dans la baignoire un peu vieillot, mitigeur pas très pratique.

    clean room, very modern, good facilities. quiet location.excellent location of hotel, within walking distance of many attractions & theatres

    breakfast not included in price. 3rd bed in room only a camp bed, a bit small for a tall 14 year old for 3 nights. not a very nice view from room window ( 5th flood courtyard view). could not book the family room on the internet, had to phone hotel.

    "Perfect stay. We travel a lot therefore have stayed in many hotels. Sadly sometimes when paying that bit extra for something special we have been disappointed.     Excellent service, from the complimentary room upgrades to the friendliness of all the staff. Beautiful river view rooms superb location and all the extras you would hope to (however don't always) get from a 5 star hotel

    "Just what we had hoped it would be - efficient, friendly, clean - and we were even able to check-in three hours early! " (108024938)

    Everything was as we would have expected for the hotel's level of rating - room was surprisingly large - and everything very clean. Great position immediately behind Temple tube station on circle & district lines (very handy for travelling to Tower Hill for example). Less than 10 minutes walk from centre of Covent Garden. Quiet location too.

    Only real example we can think of is the cost of things within the hotel - bar prices and breakfast for example - but it's London, so not exactly unusual. If things were a bit more reasonably priced we would have spent money there - as it was, we simply bought 'externally' - including thw wine!

    "A wonderful stay, probably our best hotel experience in this country. The hotel is central, just metres from the underground and perfect for all the main London attractions. " (107278625)

    Excellent view and very well appointed room (free upgrade). The hotel has a lovely decor and the bars and restaurants are relaxing and welcoming. Very polite and well informed staff.

    Breakfast is expensive and not inclusive.

    good location.

    building work was being done at the time we stayed at the hotel without any warning-very loud. mini bar and bar in the hotel was very expensive (aswell as breakfast). i know london is alot more expensive than what we are used to, but i think the hotel prices were over the top.

    "The location was superb as I attended an event held at HMS President. The room was comfortable and the relaxed atmosphere reminded my Husband and I of our honeymoon. We will revisit as often as we can afford. The flexibility of staff was appreciated, I was feeling unwell on the Saturday and was able to have a generous helping of honey and lemon juice. The customer experience was extremely positive. well done!" (97076802)

    I was impressed by everything about the hotel. I had spent 3 weeks in other hotels with the UK and they did not compare to this hotel.

    "Right from the start on entering the hotel by a very polite doorman to the reception everybody was very polite. The room was very clean and tidy and a good size too so we did not feel cramped, the kingsize bed was wonderfully comfortable." (99978988)

    The location was good. The room was a reasonable size and quiet - which we requested. Our evening meal was very good - though pricey.

    I like to use my own hairdryer - and sockets didn't align with the bedroom mirror. Evening meal expensive - though enjoyable. Room key took three attempts by staff to open our room door.
