    "We had a very pleasant, brief and relaxing stay without lots of fuss and 'do you want this, do you want that?' at the check-in desk. The room was small and simple but very comfortable and modern and we got a good night's sleep. We were not disturbed by traffic noise despite overlooking the South Lambeth Road. We have every intention of staying again next time we're in the vicinity." (108310723)

    A clean and economical hotel with a good variety of room options. We were not bossed about by besuited and officious desk staff like in some hotels nearby, but instead given a warm and friendly welcome.

    Television signal was very poor and intermittent, and we were 'upgraded' from a triple room with double bed to a twin room with bunkbeds!

    Staff was great. Friendly and had not attitude. Room was small but for price there was much value. Location was very good for me as it was near my work.

    Check-in was quick and easy, even though we arrived at 1am. Room was clean and the bathroom was modern. The member of staff was also very helpful.

    A lorry turned up outside at 5am and proceeded to unload for 45 minutes, which kept us awake. Also, after that point we kept getting woken by planes heading into Heathrow. The bathroom, although nice and modern, was a wet room which didn't drain very well, so the water covered the whole of the floor including the toilet area.

    We were going to the one day international at the Oval and arrived at the hotel before the check-in time. The staff at the hotel were very accommodating, and even upgraded our room!

    Not easy to find from the underground station!

    Easy access to room, lights and electrical worked, coffee pot for morning.

    Bathroom much too small, poor air flow, could open window, but not just lean window in for more air.

    No good points. Hotel was a shock. Even more so when considering the nightly room rate.

    Was required to pay for entire stay upon arrival. Room's one window fronted a car park with van engine idling under it. When I entered room, half of window curtain on right side was dangling off rod. The bathroom, the size of something on an airplane, had no bath mat, no water pressure and shower curtain missing hooks. An unrequested cot was made up in room. There was no air conditioning and window could only be opened a sliver. No maps of neighborhood available. Internet service/wireless provided at a cost. Hotel a significant walk from nearest Underground station. No real restaurants to speak of in vicinity.

    "I HAD A PLEASANT STAY IT WAS WHAT I EXPECTED, THE MATRESSES COULD HAVE BEEN SOFTER AND LESS LUMPY." (107803415)

    THE CHECK IN WAS QUICK AND EFFICIENT. THE ROOM WAS CLEAN AND FRESH TOWELS WERE LAID OUT, IT WAS A STONES THROW AWAY FROM THE VAUXHALL TUBE STATION AND IT WAS SITUATION OUTSIDE OF THE CONGESTION ZONE.

    I THOUGHT THE CAR PARKING HERE WAS QUITE EXPENSIVE AT £18 FOR THE NIGHT, ESPECIALLY SEEING AS THE DEMAND FOR PARKING SPACES WAS VERY LOW.

    good location for the Southbank, houses of parliament and other local sights (approx 20 mins walk though can get the tube). Hotel rooms were clean and comfortable. Hotel had all you could need for a short stay, ideal for sight seeing breaks.

    No real bad points though it is worth being aware that the tube station is slightly more than the 200 m that they advertise I would say about a 5 min walk - which is still close!

    Preisleistungsverhältnis war gut, die Zimmer ganz ordentlich, nur leider etwas laut, da Hotel direkt an einer gut befahrenen Strasse. Wir hatte ein Vierbettzimmer, mit zwei Einzel- und einem Hochbett, wo bei das Hochbett leider ziemliche Geräusche von sich gegeben hat ( Metall ). Wir würden hier wieder buchen.

    "Would stay there again but as local for where i needed to be , not a lot round there ie places to eat so had to go into the city for that" (107700615)

    Was in the hotel 87 part of the hotel. Overall the room was good except for the bathroom which was designed as a wet room , only problem with that was once You had a shower the whole floor was under water so anyone wanting to use the toilet needed to remove there lower clothing/ footwear. Complained to reception and eventually got a upgrade to another room with a proper shower

    Staff were friendly and helpful, rooms were a good size, clean and comfortable

    The only minor bad points would be the dining area which is a bit small and resembles a youth hostel, and the noise from delivery lorries in the morning.

    "I paid a budget price and got a budget experience. Having said that, overall the hotel was probably better than some of the more expensive establishments I've stayed in. " (107370329)

    A basic, clean room with fully working facilities with better sound insulation than one finds in many budget hotels

    The bathroom was ridiculously small. Given that I was in a room designed to accommodate 5 people, having a combined shower/loo/wash cubicle a similar size to a toilet on an inter-city train would be inconvenient to say the least. My electronic key did not open the main entrance of the hotel but reception is manned 24 hrs a day so this wasn't a major problem. Also the hotel is not in the location shown on the map on the Active Hotels website but about 300 mtrs further South on South Lambeth Road.

    beware of payment,i thought i payed on booking over internet but this is not the case you must pay on arrival,fortunatly i had enough money with me

    still trading as Comfort Hotel and Hotel 87 is obscured by bushes. Either you have changed your name or you haven't. My taxi driver drove round and round trying to find your hotel.

    Good location for my needs.

    I have stayed at this hotel twice before and had a very good experience but this visit was troublesome. The staff do not speak English very well and gave us incorrect directions to a restaurant TWICE, when we did finally find the place on our own after walking all over the neighborhood, it was nowhere near where the staff said it was. My room was on the parking lot side of the building on the first floor, there was a great deal of noise from drunken guests returning and singing outside our window (when I called reception the person spoke such poor English I had a difficult time getting him to understand that I wanted him to go outside and tell the drunks to be quiet)from delivery trucks unloading outside our window at four a.m. and again at around 7 a.m. The second night was fine though, nice and quiet, must have been one bad night.

    Extra tea, sugar and milk provided when requested Good sized room for the 2of us. Lovely, clean and tidy rooms Brilliant tv signal with a huge amount of channels such as e4, itv2 etc New towels everyday (left outside our room as i forgot to take the do not disturb sign off the door) Secure windows, entry to the hotel itself

    Sign saying hotel 87 is really tiny, it is infact a comfort inn Our room (19) was opposite the local pub, only expeience loud music for one of the nights out of 3 which was on a tuesday night

    I stayed in the hotel back on 1 march 2008 and was very happy with the room,newly renovated,very clean and lots of space.Location was good,we wanted to come back.

    We came back on 23-25 October 2008 and we were disappointed.We called from Germany to ask about the renovations if they were completed.We were informed yes all finished even thou posted by other quests it wasn't.You had to walk over the hand workers when going thru the halls to your room.I had book two rooms since we had friends with.My Double Room had beds to sleep 5 people and the Second Double room could sleep 3.The rooms were clean but old and you could not open the window/doors because of a terrace outside.The Daily Parking fee of 18 pounds is a bit costly.Breakfest down the street is a better value than in the hotel.
