The hotel and room was spotless, the room furniture and fittings were contempory and very new. The in-room sauna was superb and brand new. Excellent range of tea/coffee/biscuits in the room which were promptly refilled when asked. The bed was really comfortable with deep pillows. Just 1 minute from the seafront and pubs/shops/entertainment. Excellent in-room breakfast delivered promptly at the requested time. We stayed out of season on a cold & wet October day, but the room and hotel was warm, light and welcoming.

"The good thing about booking this hotel is that the details given for it are fully substantiated when one arrives.The upgrading is outstanding and leads to a comfortable stay for its guests. The owners seem to have left no stone unturned regarding their efforts to have everything just right! The breakfast is first class ,perhaps leaving many a so-called 'superior' hotel in the Doldrums . As a hotel for Paignton it needs to be experienced!" (97770265)

We were very happy with the accommodation at the Cosmopolitan. The room was pleasantly decorated and furnished. It was also quiet and peaceful.
The bathroom was a bit cramped

"My overall review is that we enjoyed or stay at The Cosmopolitan. and Piers made us welcome during our stay. The breakfast was cooked to my liking and the dining area was cosy and clean." (99850581)
Very clean, and a nice touch being left bottled water, as an alternative to tea and coffee.

"We were very pleased with the accommodation and no further information in advance could have improved upon this. If absolute quiet at night is an essential requirement, one would have to stay further away from the convenience of the seafront location." (99662092)
Good quality furniture,fittings & accessories, especially the bed which was luxury comfort,if a bit high.
Some noise at night from local revellers, due to the proximity of the accommodation to the sea front pubs.

Nice full English breakfast with tea/coffee, cereal and fruit. Bright, clean room. Polite and helpful hosts. Safe neighbour close to beach (3 minutes walk), close to the railway and bus station (5 minutues walk) and close to supermarkets (Tesco in 10 minutes walk), local bar round the corner and a few fast food stores nearby.
Seagulls outside the bedroom window disturb sleep.

Wonderfully clean room, attentive host, lots of local information leaflets
Having read the reviews, all the double rooms came with extras and felt that the twin room was almost lip service. The en-suite was "compact" and as was travelling with a friend, would have preferred to dress in private, this wasn't really possible. I made the suggestion that to have a dressing table mirror would be better with a light over it, was told that this was not a requirement for the hotel industry.
