    "Friendly and welcoming, with truely excellent food." (108507290)

    The room was clean and well presented, the food in the ajoining restuarent was excellent! The staff were friendly and welcoming.

    We stayed in room 1, while the room was clean and well presented, from what I can guess the dishwasher was right next to our room, and was being filled loudly at 11:45 at night! After a long time travelling throughout the day it kept both me and my partner awake, was about to complian but it stopped about midnight as I was about to go out to have a word. I also think £8 per person for a breakfast is a little steep

    The staff made the stay very easy and enjoyable, would have liked to have stayed much longer...

    Just a problem with the shower, only minor, did'nt think to mention it until asked on checking out...

    The staff were very helpful and considerate. The dinners were very good. When making the booking there was only reference to a full breakfast which I did not order but at reception they explained that a lighter breakfast was available and the reception staff made those arrangements. This is not a complaint but merely to mention that in making the booking there was not a facility to order the lighter breakfast.

    There were not any bad points.

    The accommodation is well above the average for British hotels & the food is some of the best we have eaten in any standard of restaurant in this country and the value for money was excellent. The staff are also all very freindly without being over the top & nothing was too much trouble. I would recommend this hotel on all counts.

    "The most comfortable and enjoyable overnight stay in a hotel for many years. Absolutely no room for improvement. The staff were so obviously well-trained: polite, cheerful, helpful and highly efficient. A hotel not to be missed!" (97814404)

    Receptionist on due on Friday 11th July (evening) was very helpful, although it would appear that she was working on her own.

    The room was described as fully refurbished designer room with king size bed and LCD tv. This did not match with the room new bed spread evident, double bed, small bathroom area containing shower and toilet.

    I Liked the double aspect room. choice of teas.

    The shower as it did not work properly and we did complain but it did not improve after being attended to.

    It was clean, friendly, spacious, staff were courteous.

    The decor was a tasteful but somewhat sterile,it felt as if it needed a feminine touch. Tariff was not displayed. The internet and films on TV did not work even though included in the price which was not reduced in view of this.

    The room was very comfortable with lots of nice little touches - chocolate, nicely arranged towels, controls for the heating available and explained and lots of additional services to call on if required. The service was friendly and informal but very efficient The food was delicious and it was great to have inexpensive room service for the evening meal as I dislike sitting in a restuarant by myself

    "The staff were very proffesional and curtious and so helpful from Reception to the magniicent breakfast which we had both mornings. We had a snack the first day when we arrived and then room service the second,my daughter and my grandaughter were amazed at the selection of hot and cold drinks available in the room,the hotel is an excellent location for Scarborough and Flamingo Land and Whitby.     The room was well laid out but very comfortable,very impressed with the selection of flavoured teas and soft drinks,staff excellent with my 10 yr old grandaughter,a very pleasant stay will most certainly be back.

    "Staff friendly and professional.Dinner quality excellant, well presented, fillet steak one of the best I have had. Room clean and tidy but small for a double room. Standard of refurbishment a bit 'DIY ish.' Overall cleanliness good.     "The staff were extremely pleasant, the food was excellent, although some part of the hotel were quite cold. I stayed for 2 nights and discovered how to turn the heating up in the room only after spending quite a cold night. In fairness it was the first really cold spell of the winter.
