    "Called ahead as stuck in traffic to see if ordering food was a possibilty. A lovely supper of soup, cheese toasties and apple pie was ready for me after my long and very stressful drive. Eating in was such a joy, as the weather was very wet and windy and I couldn't face going back out. Very appreciated!" (108514577)

    "The lack of a star or diamond rating proved not to be an issue as the accommodation was perfectly adequate and had all the basic facilities we needed. We were worried about traffic noise and parking as we did not know the area but there wasn't any noise from the road and parking on the street was safe and easy. Our hosts could not have been more helpful or friendly. We arrived after 9.00 pm and they even gave us a lift to a local restaurant to make sure we got there before they stopped serving food."     We were made to feel very welcome even though we were late. The room was very clean and bright and although basic it had all the facilities we needed and eveything worked well.

    "we were made a cup of tea on arrival. couple very friendly. room was very nice. nothing was too much trouble. the location was a bit further away from the sea front than we would have liked as i had my 84 year old mother with us but i did book at short notice. if the hotel and owners could have moved location it would be perfect."     the owners are a lovely couple who went out of their way to make us welcome. would certainly stay there again and would recommend it to friends and family.

    "This is a small family run hotel. The premises were clean and comfortable, tastefully furnished throughout. The staff were friendly and accomodating. They could not do enough to make me feel welcome and comfortable." (99469803)

    Very clean premises with tasteful decor. Friendly staff who made me feel very welcome. Food was good and plentiful. Tea and Coffee making facilities in the room and cold drinks available. My special dietry need (non dairy) was catered for sensitively.

    room was not en suite but there was a bathroom down the hall of which I had sole use.

    "We were made to feel very welcome the minute we stepped inside St Marguerite. The whole hotel was well cared for and our room was well presented. The breakfast was excellent. We were made to feel like we were old friends returning, although it the first time that we had stayed there. Nothing was too much trouble for our hosts!" (99289174)
