    Excellent value for money for the package we had - reduced Sunday night tariff

    Some areas of the hotel looking a bit "tired"

    "We used this hotel as a stop over en route to Scotland. The staff were very helpful and provided us with details of a great walk to stretch our legs and build up an appetite before a delicious dinner. The food could not be faulted and was very well presented. We will definitely be coming back again and will recommend it to our friends." (108542895)

    Upon arrival at the hotel, we were advised that we had been upgraded from a superior double. The room given was a lovely corner room with views out of both sides, and was complete with a four poster bed.

    Staff where friendly and well presented

    although not mentioned on the website, payment is only taken on departure!!! and not through the website!!

    Excellent first class food .Very pleasant staff. Beautiful bedroom,very clean.

    In need of refurbishment (and air freshners )on the landing!

    Very Comfortable Bed, Great aspect to the room and a nice view.

    This place belongs to the old school British aristocracy, out of date, out of touch and certainly out of reality with modern Great Britain. Give me a simple,honest and clean B & B anyday.
