    I had parcels that were supposed to have been delivered to me at the hotel returned twice even though I was a guest at the hotel. The reason is that they thought I was not a guest yet all they could have done was simply check their guest records. Pathetic!!!

    Central location was good, hotel restaurant was very good, clean and tidy refurbished room. Sunday night stay was a quietier night than the Saturday.

    Double room but very compact. We were on 2nd Flr and in the evening music started and we found it noisy so before dining we mentioned it at reception. Apparently weddings are normal on lower floor but they had another booking so wedding function was on 1st floor conference room which was almost below us. The receptionist was very nice and asked us to look at a room on the 3rd floor which we did but it was very dull looking not refurbished so we said no so she offered another room on the 4th flr and we found it had lie ins in the roof and declined and said we would stay where we were and hopefully the music would stop at 12.30, which it did. This was still a noisy room as it was facing the main street and there was a lot of shouting and loud voices throughout the night. We had stayed two previous nights at the Carnoustie Hotel 4* for less than the Dundee Hotel and we had a leisure centre.

    Hotel was clean and orderly and staff were courteous and helpful. The restaurant staff and quality of food was particularly impressive and value for money.

    The hotel was very pleasant to stay in and very close to local amenities. There were no night time disturbances and the staff were very friendly.

    The accomodation was very comfortable with everything one might need including an iron and ironing board.

    "Very little, what we were told about the hotel was generally what we got. Very dissapointed that facilties did not work properly though. The noise from various parties over the weekend was a little distracting also, perhaps letting people know about the conference being used for this purpose regularly would be helpful as well."     Good sized rooms. Very nice breakfast and evening meal. close to shops which served the purpose of the weekend away.

    the shower did not work as it should have even after a complaint was made, on one occasion the toilet did not flush either believe it was a problem with cold water supply.

    "The area was very central and great for shopping. Only disadvantage was the amount of Student Bars within the area so we found we had to go quite a bit before we could get a more mature bar for a quiet drink." (97676061)

    Our room was spacious with a nice view.

    The room was very hot as we appeared to be above the kitchen area where you also got the strong smell of food being cooked. The floor boards in the corridor and also within the room were very squeeky so you heard people moving about. There also appeared to be quite a bit of hair on the bathroom floor ?? The first morning of cooked breakfast the food could have been warmer.

    clean room. Pleasant staff

    hotel is tired and needs refurbishment. did not feel we wanted to eat in the hotel- restaurant named Nosey Parkers did not attract us by name or appearance. It also seemed expensive. have been to better hotels in the Best Western chain.

    "It was a pleasant hotel, central for the City of Dundee. My daughter had stayed in in before and it was ideal for our purposes. We returned for lunch which was also good as was the service in the restaurant." (99884990)

    The accommodation was good, nice room, good bathroom. Tea making facilities etc. Needed an iron and it was delivered very quickly.

    We were on the third floor and the lift was out for 3 days for its service. This was barely acceptable for us, but we were glad we had not brought our elderly releatives along as some people had done. Also although we arrived through the car park, it was not until we tried to get out again that we realised we needed a number code and had to return to the reception desk to ask for it. It would have been of more help if it was provided, or there was an intercom system from the barrier to the reception area.

    "As this was just a one night stay it suited our needs. A very comfortable hotel, very clean. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Did think the hotel was a 60s type building as it wasn't clear from the website but this was not a problem. The situation was very convenient for the city centre and attractions but we had checked with friends and family and established this beforehand." (99784187)

    Room was comfortable and spacious, very clean as was the bathroom. Decor a bit old fashioned but very well kept.

    "The hotel was exactly as outlined on the internet. We were attending an open day in Dundee University and this hotel was perfectly located for the University and the town centre. The hotel was clean, comfortable and the staff were very helpful. We took a hired car from the airport and were pleased with the safe parking facitilies and also, the ease of travel around the Dundee countryside to and from the hotel. My only suggestion is to have a tourist map of Dundee available. There was lots of information on events and places of interestin the foyer, the only missing was a quick reference map of Dundee."     "The hotel was easy to find,has a free car park and is well situated for getting around Dundee on foot. It was very warm and had a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. The food was good, the staff were friendly and attentive and the room service was great.We stayed in a room on the third floor. It was very large, warm and attractive.The bathroom was also large with one of the best showers that we have ever used.We enjoyed our stay very much and wish it could have been longer!" (99199764)

    Close to location where I was to be in a meeting.

    Limited menu, poor lighting to read whilst waiting for dinner. Cleaners hoovering before breakfast outside bedroom.

    There was no mattress protector on the bed, just a sheet! The bathroom had nowhere to put toiletries, the toilet seat was loose and unstable. Then breakfast was awful. The plates were cold and when I asked if there were any hot plates the reply was monosyllabic No. The food that was presented was sub-standard. Altogether a very disappointing experince as I have stayed in Great Westerns all over the U.K. definitely in need of some serious auditing.
