    The staff were most helpful & pleasant. The setting & surrounding countryside was interesting. The restaurant was good and the decoration of the rooms was most tasteful.

    Limited parking although parking available on the street.

    Staff very pleasant and helpful, breakfasts excellent, pleasant location. Restaurant had some interesting items on the menu, and a good ambiance

    Room a bit small, bathroom and bed definitely too small. Restaurant was very busy on the Saturday night, and staff became overwhelmed, resulting in long waits to be seated, order and served. Also, I has a rather substandard piece of lamb, but staff responded reasonably to complaint.

    Restaurant food was very good.

    We were in the cottage 'annex' - which had very steep stairs when lugging up 2 cases. The room had inadequate storage space for cases and clothes, and although it was very swish, there was not much room to turn round in the bathroom.

    A warm and friendly greeting.Good overall service both at dinner and breakfast.Plenty of choice on the menu. A pleasant atmosphere and nothing too much trouble if you required further assistance with anything.

    Taps a little awkward to operate as it was loose and missed the screw thread to enable to turn on and off properly.Mattress quite hard would have had a more comfortable nights sleep if it had a feather mattress topper.

    Excellent food and very comfortable accommodation. Good location for tour of the Borders.

    Good location. Good food, promt service, nice good sized room, large comfortable bed. Pleasant staff, really nice Hotel. Though it was close to the Airport you were not disturbed by noise. would definatley use again

    Bath water was lukewarm and would not get any hotter due to regulator. Bathroom on the small side. Was a long walk to our room! especially with cases

    We liked the location, the comfortable room, the staff, the menu, the quality of the food, the extent of the wine list, and the geniality of the host.

    All the rooms were a little too warm.

    The room and ensuite facilities were excellent.

    The rooms were a lttle noisy due to hearing guests walking around in the rooms above.

    "Upon arrival the staff where helpful, checking in was easy and the bags taken to the room (nice touch). The room was clean and well presented with a full selection of teas. The restaurant was relaxed, clean, light and airy, the food was excellent - having stayed in hotels all over the UK in the last two years some could do well to visit to see how a steak should be cooked.     "Hotel website is excellent and certainly shows a true overview of the premises. Booking online was a breeze! Service from all the staff was nothing short of excellent and the food....well what can we say.....totally wonderful!!! Breakfast was cooked to order and had a massive choice, suitable for all appetites. This is not a hotel as such, so don't expect late nights etc, but that is of no consequence, beleive me. My husband and I had a great time and will certainly return as soon as we are able. If you are looking for a peaceful base, while you explore the Borders, you need look no further...superb!"     Clean, comfortable, warm and welcoming. Bed was very comfy, room was clean with everything we needed, hairdryer, iron etc. Supurb selection of tea/coofee in room and wonderful shower room.

    the room was lovely, well decorated with luxurious en suite. The staff were friendly and helpful and made an effort for us to feel welcome. tHE SHEETS WERE AT LEAST 200 COUNT EGYPTIAN COTTON, WHICH FEELS FANTASTIC AGAINST YOUR SKIN and i use nothing less at home.

    i had searched for hotels in eyemouth as we wanted to be near the sea. it was not walking distance from the sea, and was in a little village with no choice to go out. The bar area was not conducive to socialising and i was really annoyed when i ordered a cheese sandwich and it was served wih blue cheese which i do not eat, and had to pay for it anyway.

    "A superb experience and a lovely welcome. Split level bedroom, with egyptian cotton pillow cases and duvets. Lovely touches in the bathroom, Molton and Brown accessories,really fluffy towels. The food was to die for a definite for foodies Superb deserts. Fresh fish from eyemouth,8 miles away. The restuarant was full, and this place is certainly not near a town. Has just reiceved the Scottish Borders Award for food in 2006. Breakfast was also good. Can't wait to go back" (99505708)
