The hotel lighting wasn't working and bedside lamps and an extension cable covered the main stair and corridors. There was a lighting fault which we were not made aware of. The room had no cups for tea nor glasses for drinking water - mouth rinsing..We had to ask..The TV Channels were a not tuned in correctly or giving a decent enough signal to watch programmes and the toilets were noisy on other floors . This woke us up a lot during the night.

"Would certainly stay again, but perhaps in a different room. Slight mix up when settling the bill as my receipt said "Total Stay £110" and we were being charged £110 per couple (£220) but the manager excepted what we said and only chanrged us £110. Would definately go back but not to pay £220." (108157169)
Staff were very friendly - nothing was a hassle. Clean towels on bed on second day even though we only used 1 towel the night before. Room was very clean.
Had a room "over looking the River Tay" although bad weather prevented us seeing it! Room very close to a busy road and I am a very light sleeper who likes the windows open, so around 5.30/6am Friday monrning the traffic started to get busy and noisy. Wasn't intending to be awake that early.

Staff friendly and helpful.Room very nice.
Booked a room for 3 adults but third bed not made up and therefore one of my party slept on couch. Apart from this everything was satisfactory and staff did apologise in the morning. This would not deter me from booking again.

The hotel was recently refurbished to a very good standard, the staff were friendly, curteous and efficient. The food was excellent and very good value for money.

My room was recently refurbished, spacious and had a nice view of the River Tay. A very good, freshly cooked, full breakfast was included in the competitive room rate that I paid. I would stay there again and recommend this hotel.

"Stay was made acceptable by the pleasant and obliging staff. Realise that Hotel has recently openend but management need to get their act together and get the hotel finished or they will start to loose customers. I will come back to the hotel again when in Dundee - If these issues have not been rectified then I would leave. (Will give benefit of doubt at the moment - perhaps teething problems)" (107927822)
Staff were extremely helpfull and obliging. Bed was spotlessly clean and extremely comfortable. Bedroom was lovely and warm once heating on and bathroom door closed. Breakfast was freshly cooked and very good. Overall the Hotel is furnished very tastefully and this could be a delightfuly place to stay but feel that it needs management to take control and get the simple details that would make a visit to their hotel first class. "Because it could be".
Appreciate we had a room change as I requested bath at last minute. Room put into had no blinds on bathroom full length window looking on to main Dundee bypass. I Actually packed bath towels into the window for some privacy. Window catch was broken and we were unable to close it at all - very cold frosty night. No space around the sink to put soap bag etc down. Blind in actual bedroom - cord is broken. Water in this room was not hot and bathing and showering was not a pleasant experience. Asked to be shifted to another bathroom in the morning for a hot shower.!!!!! Staff were most helpfull and I was given another bathroom with hot water. Television only had one channel. No mirror near a plug for drying hair. Would have preffered not to have seen staff eating breakfast at the receptionist desk.

"It was obvious the hotel has been quickly remodelled. the finishings are not properly done. It seems the owners were eager to get customers in even if there were still some problems to be attended to in the rooms. We could come back if the price is still so low, but it would not be worth staying there if the price rises up." (107811023)
High standard bedrooms for the price, thanks to a 59% reduction of course!
In our bedroom, the heating was not working and was not repaired despite our having mentioned it to the reception. The toilet was not clean and there was a leak.

"The building has just gone through a major refurbishment and had been closed during it. The owners had been promised by the builders that it would be ready for guests so they took some bookings (including us). However it turned out that the builders were still on site and actually a few days from the finish. We were told that we would only need to pay a reduced rate because of this. It would be interesting to stay when it is up and running because this is not a fair time to write a review. They did the best with the facilities they had available." (107263196)
The room was clean and, although the joinery work was not finished, will eventually be a lovely cosy place to stay.
Undeterminable because it was still a building site! There was no breakfast because the kitchen was not ready.

Food was ok but menu minimal. Unfortunately they ran out of tap beer and my husband and another guest offered to have a look to see what the problem was, but unfortunately couldn't get it working. Althought the hotel has been lovely refurbished there are a few teething problems, for example, the noise when you flushed the loo, which continued to knock and bang all night.
