    Very pleasant staff, excellent breakfast menu, superb outlook over deer park and gardens with wildlife, accomodation room 5 very nice with good television set up comfortable bed and pleasant decor, wifi is a great benefit to business guests. Housekeeping of a high standard throughout.

    Have not found any worth mentioning in any of my visits to the Lodge

    minor point but the evening meal was average if the food was upper quartile this hotel would be up there with the best of its class

    "We booked at the very last minute and booked blind in that we had never seen the place before. What a find! Wonderfull, helpfull, staff who could'nt do enough for us, great room, clean and very well decorated. Fantastic food - don't know who the chef is but he certainly knows his stuff! Good wine list, great bar with a real fire. It was only in daylight the next day that we realised what a wonderfull location it's in. Quiet, away from the road and surrounded by more Deer than I have ever seen anywhere! I have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending this hotel and we will most certainly be going back for another visit - probably several!" (97955305)

    Very friendly and helpfull staff. Some of the very best food I have had anywhere in the world. Good location with great views. Very clean and well appointed. Will most certainly be going back again.

    "Check in was very informal just complete the visitor book, shown to the room which was very nice. Very quiet location with the deer park out of the window. Restaurant served and excellent evening meal and breakfast, check out was no problems and overall excellent experience. Would stay again." (97485536)

    "The management and staff were very welcoming and helpful. The Lounge bar is as comfortable as your lounge at home. The restaurant is exceptional but has a rather limited choice in lighter meals at dinnertime, so, abandon your diet all ye who enter here! I would reccomend the elderly to try and book a ground floor room as the stairs can be rather steep after a heavy meal! The location of the hotel is a paradise of peace and tranquility on earth."     "Overall, very nice place, felt rushed to have meal in evening sometimes, if asked for half seven table and asked if we could do 7.15, we wondered why as restaurant was not full at all , maybe only two tables in !! But the staff were lovely and friendly." (99748018)

    Staff really friendly, absolutely excellent food, beautiful grounds, only thing , for the charge of a superior room , i felt rooms were not as superior as could be , very small!!

    Very enjoyable stay in very pleasant surroundings and totally restfull. Hopefully will return. Would like to see the menu include a traditional roast dinner

    "Very nice hotel. Lovely views of the deer park and folly beyond. Some nice touches, e.g. towelling robes. Bar and restaurant staff pleasant / helpful. Given the hotel restaurant prides itself on on local produce, I'd have liked to have seen more of it on the dinner starter menu with more simple things executed brilliantly, such as local crab or mussels."     Charming and characterful room with nice view of deer park.

    Initial reception when we arrived slightly eaely for check-in (assume by one of the cleaning staff) was less than enthusiastic.
