    "We would have enjoyed a quieter room both from the noise point of view and also the decor. We enjoyed vour meals both dinner and breakfast very much." (108678674)

    The food was excellent. The staff were courteous and friendly.

    The room was garish and over decorated to the point of claustrophobia. The room we had was on the main road and the noise was awful.

    The room was very clean and comfortable,as was the rest of the hotel.

    The hotel is situated on a very busy road and on a dangerous bend.The staff were not very friendly when we arrived as soon as we got there we were told what time we could have dinner.We were not shown to our room but we had to ask which way to go,then were given very sparse directions.When we went to dine we moved from the table we were originally shown to as we did not feel comfortable when the waitress came to take our order she was very abrupt with us.After which we decided to check out of the hotel as the room was above the bar and noisy plus the noise of the traffic outside we would not have had a restful night as we had hoped for.

    The atmosphere is very comfortable.

    It is not cheap.

    Fantastic room. Friendly staff. Good bar.

    Not much to eat for breakfast - not quite a "full" english breakfast - I would call it a "three-quarter" english breakfast. What there was was very nice though.

    "The whole atmosphere of the hotel was excellent. The room was above excellent. There are also herb gardens & Lovers Walks that were not listed that were well worth taking a look at. Service was excellent there was even a complimentary sachet of herb seeds left in the room from the garden which was a really nice touch. " (107821643)

    The room was lovely. The food excellent. Really great experience as a whole.

    Outstanding garden, nice, characterful rooms and first class bar with well kept beer and very good evening meal. Service was prompt and friendly.

    Breakfast a bit ordinary.

    Friendly service. Food excellent.

    Bedrooms are too twee, a little odd rather than eccentric. Very strange padded heart amenity feature, including a single cotton bud covered in cling film!!

    "Not bad, but having stayed in other English Inns of the Group, this was a little disappointing. I would probably stay again, but eat elsewhere due to the service, not the food." (107768332)

    Owner was very friendly and the overall presentation was good.Garden was excellent. Overall ambiance was very good.

    The restaurant area was however a bit of a let down and continuity of service by the same memeber of staff was sadly lacking. The hotel was on a main road and therefore noisey.

    Lovely place, beautifully quirky, super all round, very individual. these folks obviously care, and have pride in their place, and their profession. Meal was super.

    "We had a very relaxing stay at this quirky hotel. Our room was small but it had everything we wanted, hairdryer, iron and ironing board,velvet covered swing!,good sized bathroom with shower and our four poster bed was really comfortable. The choice and standard of food was excellent, the bar service very efficient. The hotels large herb and flower gardens are worth a visit, there are surprises round every corner! The hotel is well placed for visiting Shrewsbury, Iron Bridge, Much Wenlock, Bridgnorth and other small Shropshire market towns. " (107166156)

    Hotel run very efficiently by a friendly family. Staff were all very helpfull and couteous.

    freindly staff, beautiful building, beautiful beds. Standard of food available was very good

    a little chintzy, bathroom products (hand soap etc.) fixed to the wall - felt like we were expected to want to steal them. Traffic noise was persistent as it is diectly on a main A road. Poor vegetarian selection
