    Meals were superb, with an impressively varied menu. Helpful, friendly staff. Beautiful setting. Convenient to sites I wished to visit. Cozy pub.

    Reasonable breakfast.

    Not a particularly friendly welcome. Felt like we were an inconvenience. At a 4 star hotel we would expect the room to be cleaned and made up with clean towels each day. Here the only thing that was done was to replace the coffee cups and toilet roll. Bins were left unemptied, bed not made, no cleaning and damp towels unchanged. We understood the hotel had a restaurant (again as you would expect from a 4 star). When we arrived we were told that the boss was away so we could only have bar snacks between 7 and 8. Hotel was empty but rather than a room with a view we were given the one overlooking the car park (not the one we had booked). Overheard waitress arguing with the cook. Sounded like it was about him dishing up breakfast using a dirty plate. Bar was very uninviting in the evening. On the Sunday there were no other customers - just the barman/cook watching TV. Beer was awful.

    We found this Inn great value for money, ideal place for getting around the area. Staff were very friendly and accomodating - very apologetic about the fact the chef had let them down. Breakfast was excellent.

    Unfortunately the Chef had let them down so no food on the Saturday night. They also had stopped the food on the Friday when we arrived at approx 8pm - so would be worth checking with them before you arrive - as we had to go out again to find food.

    Hotel was welcoming. The food fresh and very well presented. The Staff very friendly and helpful.

    Being disabled we found the stairs a bit of a problem, there being no lift, but staff carried our luggage very willing.Found it with difficulty through the aid of a sat nav. Will know better if there is a next time.

    Nice room with a good view.

    The hotel was a bit dirty. Not enough attention paid to details like having a clean kettle.Better ventilation needed in the staircase, smells of food. Staff need to be a bit more attentive.

    Excellent evening meal and breakfast, pleasant and attentive staff.

    The only down side was the bottom of the shower tray needed cleaning in the corners.The rest of the bathroom was spotless.

    The room had a lovely view over the hills, towels were replaced every day and the bed was quite comfy! The pub was quiet in the evenings, the staff very friendly and the breakfast was very good.

    The only complaint we have is that the kettle wasn't very clean inside and needed replacing.

    Pleasant atmosphere,good food & service, ample car parking,room & shower very nice.

    kettle in room badly scaled & stained didnt use, didnt apprieciate the chef having a row with the waiter at breakfast including bad language couldnt see him but certainly heard all he had to say!

    Discounted rate for B&B gave excellent value for money. Room was bright and comfortable and en suite facilities extremely good. Tea/Coffee in room was much appreciated. Menu was an eye opener - cordon bleu choices and delicious - and lots of it. The full english breakfast was much appreciated by my husband.

    No-one in when we arrived - waited 15 minutes before someone arrived and opened up. A note on one of the doors explaining an emergency would have been appreciated, but once checked in, service was good.

    Excellent Staff very friendly, Good Food, Well run Establishment what more can you ask for.

    Only very Minor Faults, Bathroom Mirror too small and you needed to be a giant to look into it, Lack of Television Programs (only 4)it was wet in the evenings otherwise we would have been out.(Silly little niggles really)

    Staff friendly and welcoming on arrival, we were greeted by our name and were shown our room. Room clean and well presented, as were all areas of the pub. Service very good and food as well

    Nothing bad - one comment is that the TV was very small in the room and situated some way from the bed, maybe an upgrade to a larger (flat screen) would be good?

    Very helpful staff - nothing too much trouble for them. A real log fire in the bar area. Good car parking facilities. Quiet peaceful location. Excellent food.
