    Reserverig ging makkelijk

    Receptie beantwoord telefoon niet. Kamer te warm, airco maakt teveel geluid. Ligt aan een drukke weg. Niet erg vrolijke receptioniste. Bed te klein en slechte kussens.

    Way too much varied music/ tv channels in the bar area and the volume on all was quite high, no real area to chat without shouting, the restaurant had blinds up at the window and they were very dirty/dusty along with the window frame

    excellent gym/leisure facilities. Room clean and modern. Bathroom clean and modern. Restaurant excellent food. Loved the steak! Excellent quality breakfast, particularly the bacon! nice and warm in room.

    Easy to find, good parking, excellent handicapped room facilities.

    many other guests were too rowdy too late at night. we recognise that people celebrate weddings etc but that is no excuse for door banging and loud noises up to 3.00AM.

    "I really enjoyed my stay at the Village, and glad i stayed. It really was the cherry on the cake to make my weekend a special and memorable one. I really cant wait to come back, and stay again. " (107923850)

    The lay out of the hotel was lovely and warm. The rooms were comfortable, and staff very helpful. the breakfast was lovely, and started me well for the day.

    The only thing i can say is maybe a more vary of the Bar and Grill menus. The food was lovely, but i thought maybe a more variety of choice.

    "very relaxing experience, love the leisure centre, the steam room and the swimming pool are amazing. staffs are very friendly and were served immediately, from checking in, at the restaurant to checking out. well done!" (107362899)

    as a four stars hotel, we were expecting to be provided tooth blushes and tooth paste, that's the only thing seem to be missing in the room.

    Very helpful staff, rooms are always very clean. Food is usually very good.

    Room was freezing and heating wouldnt work once you set it to over 26! I dont see the point of having the ability to set the room temp upto 32 when it wont go above 26!!

    Door to bathroom looked like it had been kicked in. Two thirds of the door was hanging off!

    "To use the word poor would be to good, I have worked in the hotel trade for 13 years and this is up there as one of the worst for overall performance. " (107783698)

    Walls were paper thin, I was on the second floor and could hear the gym classes from the ground floor, we were given a room facing the docks and again could hear people outside havein conversations, god help you if you get a room facing the main road into Swansea! Bed was so soft that if you move your other half will think they are on a trampoline and the best pint, everytime the room above went to the loo you could hear that as well.

    Enjoyed our stay, everyone very friendly, the bolt on`s of Starbucks and the grill bar were handy indeed. The in house restaurant looks and feels up market, however it was cold when we ate and the use of paper napkins to drape over yourself cheapened the experience slightly.

    Leisure facilities, breakfast, standard of room, friendliness of staff. All very good.

    All staff excellent, no problems worthy of note. Only criticism could be the standard of food at dinner, nt very good. Waiting staff very good, especially restaurant manager.

    "Generally the stay was very good with only the minor niggles mentioned above detracting from an overall excellent experience." (107300937)

    The hotel was clean and modern with efficient and polite staff. The breakfast had a good selection on offer.

    Being picky - the TV was not satellite therefore only terestrial channels were available and the fried breakfast was very greasy with the eggs and bacon swimming in oil and the sausages not quite cooked enough. Don't leave breakfast until 10.00a.m or you will end up waiting for a table.

    Well siutated, easy access, staff very helpful and friendly. Good car parking facilities and the whole hotel was spacious and accommodating. A very good variety on the breakfast menu. As a vegetarian I had ample choice from the continential section.

    The only bad point, which had not reflection on the quality of the hotel, was all the construction work in the surrounding area and finding the actual way into the hotel. Obviously once all this work is carried out the hotel is ideally situated for anyone who is coming to the area on business or pleasure.

    "I am employed in the airline business and stay throughtout Europe and occasionally in the US.I have stayed in The Best Western/Ibis in Swansea,but these hotels for the price do not match in anyway your hotel,I shall certainly recommend the Village Hotel to friends and relatives.     "The hotel was very good vaule at £75 b&b. The reception is very nice, looking higher class than i expected. The room was modern, spacious and clean. Breakfast was good if not exceptional. We visited the Victory Pub for meals, it is at one side of the foyer and offers a good range of pub type food, cheaper before 5.30. The highltight is the gym, sauna, steam room and 25 metre pool. The hotel is well worth a visit very good value. " (107186222)

    Nice new, clean hotel. Good location for Liberty Stadium - within walking distance. Breakfast was delicious.

    Evening meal in restaurant disappointing - not a lot of flavour and we wished we'd eaten in the bar as bar food looked good.

    Staff very helpful and knowledge of area good. Food very good

    Not really your fault but as there is still much work to be done in the surrounding part of the hotel it feels as if on a building site.

    online booking: I booked a twin and a double room but it was not possible to do that in one step; there was something that should have worked for the "and" option but that always threw me out so I had to book them separately. Overall experience: there was a pub within the hotel, we had some dinner there but that wasn't too good. The breakfast from the hotel though was excellent.

    Excellent customer service, friendly helpful staff.

    Telephone system was not working when we first arrived therefore we could not ring reception to request an extra towel. We did however find the extra towel in a drawer later during our stay, we thought that this was a bit of an unusual place to keep the towel but this was nothing really to complain about.

    Welcoming atmosphere, excellent leisure facilities, good breakfast, service attentive, modern and clean, walking distance from Swansea.

    Restaurant lacks atmosphere though the food and service was good. Needs some more greenery!

    hotel is always clean with very pleasant staff.

    Taxi or public transport needed to access city centre and some of the rooms have awful views.

    "when this hotel opened a year ago you could get a room for around £89 per night which was about what the accomondation is worth recently the cost for B&B was £125 a £40 increase in 1 year. This rate is not worth the standard of hotel. Also the food in restaurant is well overpriced although the service was excellent." (97563993)

    "We have visited the Gower area many times over the years and have family there we would have prefered a hotel in the Mumbles but the standard of hotel available there is not up to the high standard of the Village. I have no complaints whatever regarding the accomadation, service or food. Just the location." (97618832)

    New well appointed Hotel.

    The surrounding area is still being redeveloped, time will cure this. Location is a car drive away from alternative Restuarants.

    "room had iron tea making and hairdryer. no mini bar but we never use one. large tv with good choice of chanells.An excellent gym, lot of children in the pool and the changing rooms and showers need to be checked more regulary as they looked dirty.excellent full breakfast and service.hotel is walking distance from the centre and is an excellent base. We did read other reviews of the hotel before booking and found that they were very mixed, some people must be very hard to please.we always book ah hotel in swansea for our anniversary and we would definately book this one again."
