    "Overall value for money we were 2 adult friends staying in a junior double which was fine. Not enough tea and coffee etc" (108912837)

    Reception staff excellent. Extremely helpful,polite and friendly. Let us check in early too which we appreciated as we could unload our bags.

    Room far too hot at night and air conditioning didn't work below 16 degrees There was an electricity cut for a n hour or so in the middle of the night so air con didn't work and no lights. Maintenance work between 9.30 and 10a.m - why couldn't this have been later?!

    PHONE IN ROOM DID NOT WORK AND AFTER A SHOWER WANTED TO ORDER DINNER AND COULD NOT GET THROUGH TO ANYONE!! DIDNT WANT TO DRESS AND DRY HAIR AS VERY TIRED!! ENDED UP HAVING TWO BISCUITS FOR DINNER!! VERY BAD.... NEVER HAPPENED TO ME BEFORE IN STAYING IN A HOTEL (even a 2 star hotel!!)

    Location, Breakfast !!

    Smallest double room ever stayed in! Had we not had our e-mail confirmation print out that full english breakfast was included in price we would have been charged extra, as we were initially refused.

    Central location,cleanliness of room,friendliness of staff & having a car park !

    Room although adequately equiped was very small & my wife who is 6ft 1 in flats barely fitted into the Junior "double".

    once room was changed all fine breakfast very good

    given very poor room until we complained that toilet did not flush and then moved by housekeeper who could not understand why we had been given that room in first place when hotel not full by any means,think it may have been because we are Reading fans there for match!!!!!!!

    breakfast experience very good

    tv speaker, 3 days running tissue box remained un filled, when extending stay and trying to rebook for future weeks bad experience with staff unclear about internet / phone / or reception booking and rates.

    Good breakfast with polite, helpful staff.

    Room had faulty electrics that were known about. We eventually had to change rooms which resulted in our arriving late at the event. Room was a small double room adequate for one night only!Since change of ownership,this hotel has been modified by dividing rooms to accomodate more guests - a pity!

    "overall excellent, very comfortable bed and sitting room(lounge)area, could have done with a downward pointing light for reading purposes. Bathroom shower and bath excellent but lacked a shaving light and mirror. Also no ventilator in bathroom. Bar prices horrific- a white wine spritzer cost £6.50. Breakfast excellent, well cooked and presented and a good choice. Overall a good experience" (97517825)

    "The rooms are clean but the prices are extortionate. The food from the restaurant is poor. Other guests advised me before I ordered my food but we were hungry so we ate in the hotel. Please check that the restaurant will be open prior to making plans to eat in the hotel." (97731600)

    The restaurant closed at 21.00 and not 23.00 as stated in the literature. We could still order food but had to eat it in the bar. We were told by the staff that at least half of the menu was off because the hotel were in the process of changing the menu. My question is why was this undertaken on a weekend when there was a major event at the millenium stadium and the hotel was fully booked.

    "The hotel does have many advantages, especially if you are a Rugby fan or going to the Millennium Stadium. It is also a short walk to the Centre, the castle and railway station. Its a longer walk to the bay, but with a train its no problem. The restaurant menu is varied and food is generally OK and well presented, but is fairly standard these days. The staff are good and well motivated, which does make the experience a pleasure. Some items tend to be too liberally salted for some personal tastes though. The breakfasts are a very good and varied selection of justabout everything one could expect, but no porridge oats-just bagged up muesli with some oats in!" (97136426)

    It was well sited for Cardiff centre and Rugby.

    The Bathroom is a bit small, you have to be careful if you need a shower.

    Bed were comfortable, hotel was clean and hotel staff were very polite and friendly.

    Room temperature was too hot even after trying to adjust the temperature with the room temperature control.

    "Hotel is convenient for city centre and Millenium Stadium. Service was effecient and friendly. The inclusive breakfast was of good quality, quantity and variety. With only 1/2 the car park spaces for the number of rooms, the hotel could benefit from placing more control as to who could get into the car-park. But this maybe a consequence of the improvement works going on." (97452671)

    The room was recently refurbished I think?very nicely decorated,facilities good.

    Only down side was the double bed was really too small,my husband & I are nearly 6ft so it was not really that comfortable ,room on the small side.

    "We only stayed for 2 nights but we had a very good time.Hotel is very central to Cardiff and is a good base for all your needs,it was nice just to park the car and relax and know it was safe.The only down thing was the temp of the room,all in all we had a great stay and would recommend this hotel to anyone."
