    Staff were very helpful with children and overall informative and friendly.Would stay again at the hotel as it is good value for money and a lovely location.

    The hotel was clean and the food was good.

    We were booked into a room above a function suite. The extremely loud music and general noise made watching TV difficult and sleep impossible until the function finished and the revellers dispersed a approx 1.30 am.

    Price/Accommodation/Service generally proved suitable.

    Although service was excellent especially at breakfast, the bar attention first evening together with subsequent pub service prompted the finding of alternatives for the remaining evenings.

    Rooms very dated. Dated feel about the whole hotel.

    "I felt the hotel was over-priced for what it was; that said, I cannot fault the staff who were friendly and helpful at all times." (108331889)

    Staff were lovely and extremely helpful.

    Unable to check in until 2.30pm. General air of the hotel was shabby and none too clean in parts - eg en suite had mould on the shower screen, carpets in room were stained and furniture grubby.

    Cramped for luggage space. Fickle TV controls. Noise from adjacent rooms.

    The staff are very helpful and friendly, we enjoyed our stay. The rate for the hotel is good as it covered the breakfast.

    If the hotel has some budget, it should up grade some of the furniture or electrical equipment in the room to make it more presentable. Having said that the furniture and the equipment are in good working order, (except a chair for the dressing table lost one of its wheel, so it is not stable to be sitted!)

    Not very much. It was clean enough but that's all that can be said in its favour.

    Everything. Our room was situated directly over the kitchen. It quite literally stank throughout our stay. Mealtimes were particularly noxious. The bathroom had no window and no extractor fan.

    Friendly staff and a nice homely feel to the hotel.

    The rooms are very small with paper thin walls, we also had dinner in the hotel which was at best very average.

    "We have always had weekend breaks in the East Neuk of Fife but our favourite place to stay is in Anstruther at the Craw Nest Hoel. We found the staff gave us first class attention and the service is second to none. They were all very friendly and attention to detail was superb." (99221991)

    Very comfortable beds and with a seaview from the bedroom. We had a fantastic dinner and the breakfast was exactly to our liking. We will definitely return very soon and even make this a regular weekend stop. Thank you for the excellent service.

    Friendly, helpful staff. Spacious dining room. Good traditional Scottish breakfast menu.

    Room was quite small - and this wing of the building is showing its age. Corridor floor creaked and TV noise from adjacent room could be intrusive.

    Very central for touring East Neuk of Fife. Hotel has a very well kept garden to the rear of the premises. Room has good facilities, ie tea making, TV, trouser press, radio and extra pillows and if requested morning paper delivered to your room. Breakfast is excellent.

    Reception staff were not unfriendly, but could have made a bit more of an effort with a little smile. Breakfast staff were excellent.

    Good quality accommodation, spotlessly clean, breakfast service excellent and provided a good choice.

    "If there is a function planned on the night we stayed and there are other rooms away from the noise I would have liked to be offered them. Even at internet booking prices I do not think this hotel is such good value for money." (99688915)

    Central position and have eaten at the hotel on a previous visit and found the food good.

    The room was in a corridor of rooms that was adjacent to a function room where the noise carried on until late but then we were disturbed by the people from the function returning to their rooms next to us. If I had known as the hotel must have done that we were next to this function room and would have been disturbed I would have asked for a different room. I did mention our disappointment at check-out but no-one seemed bothered. We travel regularly in this area but I probably would not go back again to this hotel to stay overnight
