    "The guest house is a couple of miles from Stornoway but this allows you to appreciate the views, tranquility and really get away from it all. The bus stops right outside and it is very easy to get around the island from here. Very convenient for the airport (yet there was no noise when I was there). Excellent value for money-I would be amazed if you could get this quality in the town centre." (108204763)

    Room was far better than imagined. We had the family room which had an en suite and all the facilities you could need all of a very high standard. Very welcoming, friendly, professional host who let us stay all day as our flight wasn't until mid afternoon and he even drove us to the airport.

    "I had not anticipated such an excellent sea view, from our window. The room was very tidy and staff were very pleasant overall it was brilliant, thank you ever so much." (107771035)

    The room was very clean and tidy and exceeded our expectations regarding room size. The breakfast was very good also.

    The temperature control on the shower was broken, but tools were provided to adjust temp if necessary. The ceiling of the room was not complete (papering) but had been left in a tidy condition for our stay.

    Big, well equipped family room, very comfortable beds. Great views from family and single room. Very cheerful and helpful staff. Great breakfasts.

    Family room bathroom shower temperature not adjustable - control appeared to be broken - very hot water! Single room en suite rather cramped, but adequate.

    Very convenient for travelling into Stornoway and the airport. Excellent panoramic views. Very good roads for driving throughout the island. Local residents could not be more helpful in giving advice and assistance with travel arrangements.

    The proprietors were super nice and helpful. The view from the front area was great. It was nice of them to go out of their way to accomodate a vegetarian.

    The room wasn't really en suite, which I thought it was when I booked.

    Excellent accomodation, with a very friendly atmosphere. The food was very fresh and good portions. In general the whole experience was excellent, this was in the main due to the owner of the guest house whom is highy recommended. We will stay again and recommend Holm View to others.

    "From the welcome I received on arrival to the farewell on my departure, the whole experience was great. I stay away a lot and, for convenience, use a large chain of motels.     Island hospitality at its very best! Helpful tips given on places of interest to visit during stay. Wonderful views from bedroom and extremely comfortable accommodation. Made to feel very welcome. Breakfasts delicious in a relaxed atmosphere. Look forward to staying here again.

    First time in Lewis made even more pleasurable by staying at the Holm View Guest House. The room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The private (but not en suite) bathroom was fine as there were only three rooms on the upper floor so not much chance of bumping into other guests. I stay in hotels every week in the UK and abroad with work and must say that very few match the standards at the Holm View. I would recommend this guest house to anyone.
