    "The people running the hotel far and away made up for the above shortcoming" (108782333)

    The staff were excellent, pleasant, efficient and most helpful. The breakfast was very good.The staff there were particularly focussed on delivering the meal almost as soon as one was seated and could not be more helpful. The price was good also and there was very easy access to the centre of London from almost outside the front door

    Although bedding and towels were very clean in our room and surfaces were dusted or wiped down, the whole room could have done with a thorough scrub down or repaint in that paintwork, radiators and toilet floor (not shower) were dull and grubby looking (from age I would say rather than dirtiness).

    Bathroom nice, and shower excellent.

    regular loud banging noise coming from scaffolding across the road, breakfast was average and had no sausages. One of the 2 power points wasn't working.

    Very friendly staff. Close to the Emirates which was the venue we were visiting. Lovely breakfast.

    Further from tube station than advertised. Radiator too hot and too close to the bed.

    Breakfast was good along with the pleasent staff in the breakfast room.

    Double room very small, not big enough for a single occupant let alone two. Room was dirty and not vacuumed, dust and crumbs everywhere. Bathroom was a joke a tiny plastic pod. Pillows can only be described as two sacks of pebbles. Very very noisy on main road, no double glazing to keep out noise. One individual on day shift reception was miserable and had no people skills, better suited to the reception of a crematorium. Four terrestrial channels on the TV only! curtains were hanging off. Kettle didn't work, when I asked for a new one I had to go down to reception to collect it.

    Location - close to central London

    Several of them. The photos on the internet are misleading. It hides the fact that the double room is very small - more akin to a student cubicle (maybe even less). The bathroom is no more than what you get on a plane with the shower s0 close to the WC. There is no room to turn and it was difficult having a shower without flooding the entire place. I had no room to dry myself and had to that in the room itself. In fact I wonder if anyone inspects hotels at all. The sink was filthy and the door lock was broken and there catch behind was not there at all. I could not sleep a wink. In fact I felt cheated that I paid £65.00 for that!

    Friendly place, breakfast was awesome

    Bed broken, one of the legs near the head of the bed (in room 200) is missing. Quite uncomfortable.

    Original Room was too smalll.I upgraded and was happy. Very busy part of London.

    Good location for visiting our daughter with essential car park

    Our room was on the third floor with no lift. A lot of stairs to climb for someone of my age. No handrail on top section of stairs!

    Pour les chambres côté rue, le bruit de la circulation est trop intense, il faut dormir avec des boules quiès. problème dans la salle de bain où on a les pieds dans l'eau dès qu'on prend une douche. Excellent accueil des 2 serveuses du breakfast, (rapides et très professionnels) de même que que le personnel de réception jour/nuit.

    The Costello does exactly what it says on the box. The staff were excellent and my room was perfectly serviceable, clean and tidy. The car parking was a big plus. The local transport connections are excellent - the hotel is in zone 2 so travel to London's major spots is easy.

    The hotel is clean and everything is in order. The room was very good and excellent value for money.

    There were no bad points as such except that the area seemed a bit insecure, but nothing bad has happened, so it could just be my personal impression.

    first night no sleep running water from toilet to be heard all night other couple in our group on ground floor next to road no sleep as well

    "room was nice but not really adequate for my needs as disabled. person on duty assumed i could walk upstairs and must have thought i didnt look \disabled as it isnt obvious looking at me even though i had asked for low ground floor, breakfast unappealing but adequate." (97620012)

    luxury room brand new wing.this made us think other rooms must be awful as otherwise would have just given us the room on ground floor, which really was what we wanted, but made us feel the luxury wing was better.

    i have mobility problems have a chronic illness asked for low floor room or use of lift. no lift to use and said ground dloor room really old so offered us 2 floor room luxury sa only few stairs but turned out 26 stairs made me ill .breakfast room down more stairs no good access for wheelchairs if needed.breakfast limited not offered a choice of cereal just english breakfast. usually offered cereal at other hotels but not here.time of breakfast too rigid
