    Very convenient location for city centre and relatives we were visiting. Helpful staff. Good service. Excellent breakfasts. Pleasant, comfortable room with good view over city

    Cold water tap and extractor fan in bathroom not working properly. Shower not hot enough.

    good value for money, staff helpful on check in.

    There was only one towel provided in a double room for two people and upon departure the receptionist tried to charge us for a pint of beer ordered from the bar which we didn't have. They didn't make us pay but I was made to feel like I needed to explain myself. There was a big event going on in the hotel which we were not involved in and they were the only group using the bar.

    Overall feel of hotel was good.

    My room had two blown light bulbs and the shower had a broken hose meaning that water sprayed all over the bathroom. The restaurant was partcularly poor.

    Bit noisey if your staying on the side where main road is.

    "Overall a decent hotel in a reasonably central location. Contrary to other peoples comments the windows shut fine if you push the catch by the hinge in." (108295024)

    Small but well equipped gym, free wi-fi, room was a decent size and very comfortable

    Wi-fi fell over a lot, Shower hose leaked and it took 2 days for it to be replaced. Breakfast not included and very expensive!

    Provided excellent value for money as facilities far better than expected.

    Restaurant too expensive as was the bar menu. Feel given the market this hotel caters for it would be better placed to review its food as I found I was not the only guest seeking food elsewhere.

    tidy and clean. staffs friendly. check in and out was quick.

    no internet access in the room, a bit inconvenience as have to bring down the laptop to the lounge. Should have wireless throughout all the rooms. No breakfast inclusive. a bit far from town centre.

    the man on reception was excellent, went the extra mile, offered me a drink for my troubles.

    My room key wouldn't work so had a second trip to reception with my luggage. The first room smelled really bad so recption moved me.The double glazing needs some attention to keep out the noise of traffic. There was a tv just sitiing in a corridor on the floor.

    "We were greeted on arrival by the receptionist who was very helpful & friendly. Not only did the hotel exceed our expectations but the location was perfect for our needs. I have only one suggestion & that would be to have a selection of biscuits or croissants available to have with tea & coffee in the room.     "Generally the hotel offered a comfortable stay. Easy to find, adequate parking, friendly staff and well presented and clean reception area. The room was clean and spacious enough. There were a couple of minor niggles, the taps in bathroom did not operate efficiently and the heating was fairly ineffective so the room was a little bit on the cold side. Staff were excellent - courteous (by which I set great store) and efficient; the hotel was clean and in an excellent state (decor pleasant without being overbearing and the one public room I used - the toilet in the reception area met the highest standard of cleanliness."     Room size and facilities - for example excellent lighting and two chairs, ironing board and iron as well as trouser press.

    The choice of programmes on the television was in my view poor. A minibar might have been provided. The electronic key needed daily reprogramming, which rather counteracted one of the advantages. The shower in my room was not working as well as it should.

    "The overall accommodation was warm, cosy and inviting. There were a number of things that ddin't work: kettle wouldn't boil, shower only produced cold water; window wouldn't shut after opening - they are old metal ones, and room was hot when sleeping. Parking was excellent, breakfast and dining room itself was great, and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit to see Coventry Cathedral and Ryton Organic Gardens." (97867634)

    "The hotel was spotlessly clean - in the room and common areas. The staff were friendly and helpful, though it would have been helpful to have been offered help with luggage when the lift was broken down. I was disappointed to be given an unchilled glass of white wine and what appeared to be microwaived food - but it was perfectly edible. I would certainly recommend this hotel to others.     The hotel was good value for money. Our room was very clean, well maintained and perfectly adequate for a short break.

    The breakfast choice could have been better. The scrambled egg was vile the first morning but had improved by the second! The noise from the road kept us awake at night slightly.

    The room was clean and functional. The bathroom was relatively modern and seemed clean.

    The hotel looks ghastly from the outside and I was rather worried about the overall quality of the hotel when I arrived due to this. The shower in the room was leaking water from 2 places in the shower hose so was not as powerful as it should have been and sprayed water all over the bathroom.     "A commonality with so many hotels in the UK is that reception staff do not speak English as their first language and are quite difficult to converse with. The staff was not forthcoming with local information." (99328076)

    Wifi was available, but only in the foyer.

    It was shabby and the lift smelt awful. The place was in a general state of disrepair.

    "Foreign desk staff unable to answer queries re town, or even fully understand question.Could not check in till 2.30. Room of very good standard and newly decorated, but two taps jammed and unusable in bathroom. This did not spoil my stay however, breakfast and restaurant very good.
