    "Very good overall" (107605828)

    comfortable room and bed, good bathroom, good breakfast and nice to have the bar for evening meal and drinks. Very convenient for theatre. helpful staff were happy for us to leave our bags and return for them later in the day.

    some better tea or herb teas would have been good. I'd have preferred to have biscuits with tea , but my daughter was delighted with the candy instead; you cant please them all!!No information in the rooms about the area or even about times of breakfast .

    Very close to amenities

    Difficult to find anyone to check out, after specifing that it was a 10.30am lasted check out time there was no to be seen at 10am.

    "Period house with 6 rooms, and bar in basement. Serves pizzas etc not tried. Outstanding location in the centre of restaurants near the waterfront and close to the Opera House. Attractive boutique interiors if showing some signs of aging. The proprietor is most helpful. Rooms can be a little quirky, e.g. size of desk, location of window, etc, but that's part of the charm. Freeview television. Local parking may be expensive if using the official car parks. Not sure if hotel can provide cheap parking." (97925671)

    "The weekend we stayed at Jolyons was cold and wet - it was so nice to be able to come back to a hotel that was warm and comfortable.The view of Cardiff Bay from the bedroom was spectacular particularly The Welsh Assembly Building." (97473430)

    "This is really laid back hotel. A great place to relax, especially if you are going to the Millennium Centre nearby. No aliens but Dr. Who did stay there. This is not a place to be in a rush." (97819640)

    "Although a small hotel, rooms were decorated to the standard of a luxury Hotel. Breakfast has to be the best in Cardiff cooked to each person's liking and with the choice of pastries. Definatly worth a second visit." (97523812)

    next to a building site. Very noisy. Woken up at 7.30am on saturday!

    It was great; it was not a chain hotel and was quirky and individual.

    Parking was a bit dodgy but Barbie was very helpful in creating a space.

    "On a personal level, I prefer to stay in this kind of smaller, quality accomodation, than go for the larger hotel with a less personal approach. The hotel is ideally situated within 5 minutes of Cardiff Bay Rail station, and although near the main road the traffic noise was not too intrusive. The hotel has it's own bar/restaurant as well as there being a variety of other Restaurants and Bars just around the corner. The car parking was not clearly defined, but as I opted to go by rail this was not an issue." (99327985)

    Lovely, well presented, clean and cheerfull accommodation in excellent position for local Cardiff Bay amenities. Much better than larger impersonal hotels with lots of rooms.

    "Fantastic hotel can't recommend highly enough. If you are heading to Cardiff you could only do worse. Beautiful well sized room, good breakfast, friendly staff and a cosy bar intimate surroundings. My only complaint would be we didn't have enough time there we are looking forward to returning soon."     "Well situated directly opposite the Millenium Centre in Cardiff Bay (not Stadium). Warm, personable welcome & informative description of room & facilities. Clean & tidy, ample fresh linens & consumables, plus all facilities in good working order. Friendly, helpful staff and high quality, varied breakfast. Intimate, cosy Bar offering hand-cooked pizza & an entertaining mix of residents and locals. The perfect antidote to soulless, anodyne corporate hotel complexes." (99012805)

    Warm, open, friendly & helpful atmosphere in a well specified modern hotel at a reasonable price.

    Accomodation was lovely and had character, the bathrooms were very modern and had every thing you needed for a comfortable stay bathroom
