    Staff and service were very good. Evening meal freshley cooked and tasty.Speedy response to leak in first room.

    First room water was laeking from under the shower. Upgarded to much superior room.Curtains did not close properly neither did shower door.Breakfast over cooked, sausage seemed as if it had been reheated.

    The staff were excellent and very helpful and welcoming. The hotel had a lovely atmosphere.

    The bedframe was wobbly and the bathroom door did not close properly. But once this was pointed out to the manager, he dealt extremely well with the situation and the customer service was brilliant.

    "Apart from the issue with the charges and the unfortunate circumstances we enjoyed the support from the staff we were equally impressed with the situation of the hotel and was looking forward to exploring the area further.By charging us the full amount given the circumstances has left a nasty taste in the mouth which in our present state of mind would preclude any chance of booking this hotel again.     Staff were very friendly and made us welcome

    We booked for The Hampton Court Flower Show hotel space was at a premium and the room could have been easiliy re-let. Our stay was cut short because we were notified that our Mother had died suddenly and we had to leave immediately to return home.Depite this, the hotel insisted we pay the full amount for the day and night we missed. Given the circumstances we believe this was somewhat Mercenary.

    Room was clean, bathroom appeared to be newly decorated, very nice staff and good breakfast, ideal situation to walk to Hampton Court Palace.

    There was no shelf in the bathroom so nowhere to put my washbag (there were raw plugs under the mirror so I guess the shelf that had been there was broken and not replaced - or else hadn't been installed), the shower cubicle leaked continually even when shower not running, There was no full length mirror, the room was quite dark only one window that was too high to see out of, bed very squeaky and my husband woke with a sore neck as it was uncomfortable.

    Very nice efficient staff, newly refurbished so rooms clean etc and bathroom standard good. Food ok, Sound proofing between rooms very good (very thick walls!)

    Room tiny and hot (but it is an 18th C inn and it was the middle of July, so not surprising). Not a lot of parking. Stairs could be a problem for some people.

    "The personnell couldn't have been more kind. The proprietress even went out to buy a fan for my room during the heat wave. I will definitely stay there again, should I need a Hotel room at Hampton Court. Also, their food was excellent!!!" (107662592)

    The staff is dedicated to making your stay a positive experience and was eager to make my long stay, 17 nights, a comfortable one. They were all friendly, and, in a way, it was like home away from home! The inn is beautiful and well taken care of.

    My room was on a busy street, and over a pub. It was fairly noisy at night, since, because of the warm weather, I needed to keep my window open. Next time I will ask for a room across the hall, away from the road and the pub.

    only bad points were inrelation to being a very old building: small rooms, no elevator, but certainly OK for anyone expecting that, and great staff and food more than compensate.

    Simon, Sarah, and their staff were very gracious and helpful. As a solo traveler it is helpful to have warm hospitality. Also, I loved the location next to Lionsgate of Hampton Court where I was enrolled in a course at the Royal School of Needlework. Everything seemed clean.

    Only two things about the room. The lamp next to the bed didn't work and there was no chair of stand to place my suitcase.--minor points in the general overall pleasantness. I highly recommend earplugs to guests for the street noise is very much part of the ambience at night.

    On check in, computer not working, offered a beer while waiting, very helpful member of staff.- Nice Tanglefoot Ale Breakfast was good. (Full English)

    Not enough parking, had to move car at 8am Sunday morning. Breakfast supervisor told me at 9.55 that breakfast has finished 30 sec ago, but if I ordered quickly it would be ok. Breakfast stated 8am to 10am in information, so was slightly upset by this.

    Noise from traffic - secondary glazing was inadequate - sash window fitted badly and allowed insects in Midges - no insect screen for known problem No air con - room was stifling with windows shut ( because of noise and midges) No bedside table or bedside light - had to get out of bed to turn main lights off - staff were unhelpful when problem pointed out TV did not work - no cable found Almost impossible to get the kettle under the basin tap I waited ages for my main course at dinner but waitress did apologise Nice decor but paintwork in the hotel is a bit battered in parts

    Very friendly manager who tried to help me when I had a severe headache. I am allergic to aspirin but she did offer to supply me with some and I am grateful

    The shower toiletries were not very well fixed to the wall and the decor was tired. Breakfast service was very slow and disorganised but the young girl was obliging and very nice. Plese don't lock guests in it is frightening!!

    Staff were extremely friendly and helpful and very welcoming. I was allowed to check in much earlier than the normal check in time, which was a great help after a long car journey. Hampton Court was right next door and we could see the Lions gate and part of the maze from our bedroom window. The train station was only a five minute walk away from the hotel which allowed us to travel into London very cheaply and easily. The food was delicious, both the evening meal and the full cooked breakfast. The room we had was the Anne of Cleves room and was quite nice if a little small, but the bed was one of the most comfortable I have ever slept in. Egyptian cotton sheets, plenty of pillows and a mattress topper. Bathroom was very modern and clean.

    The hotel website photographs are a little deceiving; the rooms are not a palacial as you imagine and the one we had was quite small. The website shows the double rooms as having four poster beds but my room did not have one, it was a sleigh type bed instead. Although the bed we did have was very comfortable, one of the main reasons for choosing this hotel was for the four poster beds as my daughter wanted to have a 'Tudor' experience. Although the room seemed very clean, there were velvet throws on the bed which gathered a lot of dust. When pulling the throws back to get into bed dust flew everywhere which irritated mine and my daughter's chests as we both suffer from asthma. Also the duvets were feather which added to the irritation. There was maintenance going on at the Lion's gate and the contractors started work very early creating a lot of noise. The comings and goings of other guests in the hallway also was quite noisy and woke us up a lot earlier than we had intended. The main bugbear with this hotel however is the lack of hot water in the morning. My daughter had a shower in the evening and the water was lovely and warm. I took a shower at around 7.45am and the water was freezing, really very uncomfortable.

    Very clean and nicely decorated. The Inn itself was a lovely old building 1705. Lots of character. Food good too. Good choice for vegetarians also. we ate there each night. Staff friendly and helpful

    Only minor - No shelf in bathroom. Clock didn't work. No instructions re the heating controls. Menu for breakfast would have been useful. No fresh fruit available at breakfast. No biscuits on tea tray or hot chocolate!

    Friendly & polite staff, amenable to all requests and nothing too much trouble. Rooms were quiet considering they were above a pub - pub was nice too with very nice meals.

    Room was a bit small for a business traveler and could have done with a table to work on but nice enough with decent bathroom facilities.
